I loved everything about the place - the amazing view, the room, the spacious bathroom, the little patio, the fact that we even had a grill outside and could have a BBQ. The biggest highlight for me, besides the gorgeous view, were the two super adorable cats. Sue and Harvey are very responsive, helpful and friendly, just excellent hosts. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your place, we had a great time!!

Super experience staying with Sue and Harvey. The room was outstanding. Comfortable, modern, with a wonderful view of the mountains and the ocean. Above all, we enjoyed the time with the hosts, their friendly breakfast and the time and interest they gave in talking to us and giving advice on travel. We certainly hope to visit again.

The house is very nice and clean. This place was ideal for me for one night stay. Big advantage is the owners - very friendly couple. And the best part was a delicious homemade breakfast supplemented with nice chat with the owners :).

Incredible views and high quality furnishings. The perfect location for a stay of more than one night. Sue and Harvey are the perfect hosts who provide a lovely welcome yet know how to provide you with the privacy you require for your stay. Full cooked breakfast was a welcomed addition and was not expected. Arriving to find our flag flying to welcome us to their beautiful home was a very special touch. Loved our stay with Sue and Harvey.

Rooms are immaculate with attention to detail and everything u need at your fingertips. Sue and Harvey are great hosts and truly welcome you into their home. This is my go-to get-away way-cation of choice. Breakfast is included and it is hearty and a great way to start the day. When Sue and Harvey welcome you into their home... they welcome u home.

Never like leaving.

A cooked breakfast on top of the usual Continental breakfast items was welcome! Sue and Harvey made us very welcome and we enjoyed our chats with them over breakfast and out in their garden. Our room and ensuite were very well appointed. Being up in the hills north of Whitianga meant a quiet stay, but still within a 10 minute drive to downtown.

Nothing really: it was all as advertised on their personal website and was exactly what we were looking for.

Peaceful and quiet. Comfortable and like home. Big king size bed. Microwave available for DIY meals. Cutlery and crockery supplied. Hosts were very nice, friendly and helpful traditional New Zealanders. Great cooked breakfast. Cats live here, and next doors dogs greeted me. Birds tweeting in the morning.

All good for me, as I had transport, but it's way up a hill at the back of town, about 2.5 k from the centre, so you need a vehicle.

We paid via booking, but the hosts didn't get the payment. Instead of them handling it vs booking, they expected us to fix the problem even after showing the payment receipt. After we contacted booking support, they addressed the issue directly with them. The location is good but a bit far from the main attractions, so be aware.

Although it was poor weather, the views were amazing! The bed was super comfortable. The room size was large with a great private bathroom. The property was immaculate. Comfort level was excellent (shower, room temperature, pillows, bed, TV in bedroom). The owners were lovely. Very easy to chat to and great sense of humor. Thanks Sue and Harvey for everything.
