great location and nice apartment

The staff member that greeted us at the hotel around the corner was quite rude and very unhelpful. We arrived a couple of hours early and asked if we could leave our luggage until check in later (which is pretty standard at hotels around the world). She just said no. She said our apartment was ready, but we would have to pay a fee to get our keys early. When we asked for a map and directions and she was very unclear and said “it’s just up the road”.

Fantastic boutique hotel opposite the tourist info centre and fish market. Wonderful room with view of the mountain and everything in front, the water, boats, people and the colourful houses Bergen is famed for. The best hotel shower we’ve ever experienced, I know this sounds odd but it matters! Very comfortable bed, big TV, barely there to watch it. Breakfast was expansive, fresh and truly delicious. Staff were delightful and our whole experience was great. Absolutely loved it.

“Didn’t like” is harsh….perhaps to be aware of as we really did enjoy the hotel very much. Our room was small but had everything required, including an opening window with fabulous view - this could get noisy but then you shut it. No problem. We didn’t have a fridge (mini bar) or tea and coffee making facilities. Not a huge problem, some rooms did. Possibly more expensive rooms? Again not a huge problem,as tea and coffee was available in the foyer throughout the day/night. No bath…didn’t need one!

No proper storage space - no drawers or shelves in our "Superior Room" Unpacking is impossible .... There was room to hang up about three things! Oh dear! Everything else had to be left in our cases! Not hotel's fault - just very poor design! Not enough toiletries Only paper cups were provided for coffee . As well as being very bad for the environment , it looks cheap, ugly and very unstylish

We had booked a two bedroom apartment. They were fully booked so they split us, that gave a studio and a. Family room. For te inconvenience they provided free breakfast for the four of us in the hotel buffet. The buffet was fantastic, one of the best buffets I’ve ever been to, the smoked salmon was spectacular. The studio was very convenient, that kitchen could be better equipped. The family room in the hotel was new and very modern decorated. Very comfortable beds and room, with two separated areas and two televisions. Very kind staff in the hotel

The floor in the shower is very slippery and also the bathroom floor since the shower splashes water when you’re inside. Dangerous, specially for old people.

The location is incredible, very convenient to anything you have planned in Bergen. Walkable to the harbor and the Floyen funicular and train station. Breakfast was also 10/10. The breakfast staff were beyond friendly and helpful and it’s a robust breakfast buffet with full English breakfast options, tons of fruits, yogurts, sweets and fresh warm bread.

Let’s be frank—they cheaper out on the staff. It’s seriously understaffed, and also a bit under supplied. They don’t have enough kettles for every room, so you have to ask for one (and they don’t even tell you that it’s available). Parts of the hotel had just opened a few weeks earlier, and the cracks in processes were visible and meant watching them scramble to supply basics.

great location. The apartment had everything we needed for a short stay, well equipped kitchen and the bathroom was nice. A nice balcony with view.

It wasn't just us but the hotel seemed to be having an issue with the electronic key cards, they claimed that they had sent via sms but there were about three other groups waiting outside the building, and none of us had received the ekey card. Not a big issue, as the actual hotel reception is only a few hundred meters away, but just a bit of a pain. I understand they will have a separate reception at this building in a few months, so problem should go away.

Breakfast was great! Good variety of hot, cold, and long cal breakfast items. Staff walked around and offered extra muffins and juices. Staff was super helpful! Monika from the front desk was really great and we liked the parking garage discount t the hotel offered us! Tip, have your listende plate number ready when you check in to receive the discount for the Kloster Garasjen discount to be applied.

Only complaint would be the entire bathroom floor will get wet when showering due to the design of the shower. Floor is not optimal for drainage so don’t bother putting a floor towel down. It’ll get soaked. The room had a view of the atrium (inside of the building) with a walkway in front of our window (fire exit?) we didn’t spend much time in our room so it didn’t bother us too much though.

We had booked a 1 bedroom apartment and because the apartment did not appear to be ready upon check-in, we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment (lovely bathroom!). This was very much appreciated - we probably needed the extra space for 2 adults and 2 teens. The location was central to the train station and the downtown sights/activities - the neighbourhood was easy to get around on foot and using local transit.

As the apartments were just being completed, the building did not yet have its own reception desk and the outside signage was not yet complete - it took us awhile to find the first time, but this may be remedied now.

The Breakfast was amazing! Hotel was very clean. The staff were kind and helpful. Location was perfect. We came in on the ferry and went to the back door. We called and they kindly guided us to the front. Just around the corner. A sign on the back door would help. When we left, we walked 6 minutes to the the # 1 tram that took us directly to the airport. The location is excellent!Great sta We will definitely be back!

I’m not a fan of European showers. That’s overall. The shower here was great but a tile lip or shower door would help. That’s for all European hotels.

Monica at the reception was very cheerful, helpful, and friendly. The lobby of the building doesnt look welcoming but the apartment was lovely, clean and has a small balcony with a view of the Bryggen. Location was perfect, walking distance to everything. I'll stay in this place should I return to Bergen.

The shower and toilet facilities are in one room. Very inconvenient if you are with 4 people. The fire alarm went off during the night so everyone rushed out of the building. We were on the 6th floor, luckily it was a false alarm.
