What an amazing hotel in the middle of Bergen and right by the port, we could access everything we needed to do for our stay. From catching a ferry to Flam and to going on a Segway and going up Floyen Mountain with spectacular views. The bedroom in the Bergen Bors hotel was everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We had evening drinks in the bar in the evening which was lovely, the only criticism we had was slow service and looking around it looked as if they had few staff to the level of service that was required and a few young inexperienced staff that needed more training. But all the staff were very pleasant and hard working that said. Thank you Bergen Bors Hotel for a lovely vacation.

The hotel is in a beautiful, old building in a perfect location. The heart of the hotel is the large room with murals, which serves as restaurant, bar, hangout place, and lobby (as the actual lobby is quite small). I stayed in two different rooms (at two different price levels) and they were like night and day. The more expensive room was lovely, light, nicely decorated and I place I was happy to return to after a day of exploring the city.

The less expensive room I slept in was small, dark, and claustrophobic. The breakfast was chaotic, understaffed, and running out of things like milk, butter and granola.

The location of the hotel is excellent; it's right in city centre and nearby all tourist attractions. The overall design of the hotel and room are beautiful. The breakfast buffet is good and in general, the staff were attentive.

The lighting in the room was lacking; lamps had dark shades, which didn't help the already lacking amount of lighting in the room. The facade of the hotel is impressive, but once you walk into the front lobby; it's rather unassuming and lacks the "grandeur" of the overall hotel.

I loved the location. Also liked that although the actual lobby was small, the beautiful restaurant serves as the actual lobby, and was lovely to hang out in any time of day. Me second room (on the second floor) was beautiful and comfortable in every way. I did not want to check out.

The first room was very, very small and dark. We could barely fit our suitcases. The amenities were also subpar in this room (not the same as the second room referred to above). The breakfast was chaotic and understaffed, with guest hunting down essentials, like milk for coffee, themselves.

The hotel the super central and easy to reach. The reception informed me about public parking upfront and easily applied a discount to the daily rate. The hotel has a very nice design and is up to date with all facilities. We loved especially the breakfast in the stunning “Frescohallen”.

The room lacked a little bit dusting in all areas. Also, the safe was closed (not usable) at arrival and even talking to the reception about it did not fixed the problem during our stay. Maybe due to the busy period but I would recommend improving this for the future. I would still come back here on a next visit. 😉

This is a quality hotel in a beautiful old building. The Reception staff were outstanding - enthusiastic, polite and courteous. Our room looked like it had just been renovated to a very high standard, Lovely comfy bed. Nice and quiet too. The dining hall is genuinely spectacular - worth the stay alone! The breakfast is a mini-banquet - by far the best of our stay in Norway. The location is ideal; close to the quay area for bars, shopping and restaurants. Sensible pricing meant it was good value - we wouldn't have stayed otherwise. Overall, we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough despite the comments below.

This may sound strange but finding the main entrance wasn't easy! There were only one or two vegetarian/vegan options on the one menu for dinner which meant we chose to eat elsewhere. The configuration of the huge dining hall could be better - there isn't a clearly marked lounge area to sit with an evening drink (but there is so much space, there could be); this meant we felt we were having an evening drink sat in the dining room (which in fact, we were) and again meant we went elsewhere for the evening. All these points would be easy to fix and create a 10/10 experience (plus increase revenue).

Very posh and comfortable room/bathroom. Steps away from the harbor and main attractions of Bergen. Breakfast was delicious and so enjoyable in the beautiful Fresco Hallen. Staff were hospitable.

There is no parking on premises, and it is a bit of a walk to the garage they recommend (which felt especially long in the cold rain!). The room was never quite warm enough despite our adjusting the thermostat. No view to speak of (people working in offices in windows opposite our room). Felt very $$ for this US traveler.

Can get warm in the room since no air conditioning but Bergen only gets hot a few days/weeks of the summer. Breakfast buffet was nice though often times not fully stocked and tables not cleaned quickly to allow next guests to sit (I believe they may have been short staffed though). Parking is quite far away but no real need for a vehicle anyway

The initial booking mentioned a city view which had almost floor to ceiling windows. The room which we were assigned did not match the photo as it did not have those windows but I had booked thinking we will get those windows. That being said the hotel staff assigned me another room that was the same size but had very high ceilings / windows and a large bathroom for the same price. View was not bad.

Fascinating period building and absolutely clean and classy Great patron experience especially Isabelle at the front office is a true patron engager Restaurant and Bar is an architectural marvel, truly one of a kind Gourmet food and interesting mixology inspirations and wide array of wines GM Yngve Hansen is one of the finest GMs i have come across in Europe, a true patron focused GM Great service at the restaurant Superb Location The rating in Booking.com for the first time does not show the true picture of this hotel
