Very good position. You can see Bryggen from the in-house restaurant (that has also a small terrace) so, even though you have a room without sea view, you can enjoy the wonderful landscape. Good breakfast although the food should be covered. We experienced people heavily breathing and coughing on it (COVID hasn't taught anything). In the common area there's free tea and coffee all day long.

We had great expectations for breakfast and you are requested to choose the time slot at the check-in. We chose the first one at 7 a.m. and it was very packed. The room didn't look perfectly clean (e.g. dirty room door and stains on bed headrest).

Boutique hotel with helpful, welcoming staff and great food. Nice, clean, quiet room with comfortable bed. The location couldn't be better for a tourist in town to see the sites. Everything we wanted to see and do was a convenient walk from the hotel. Check in is at 3:00 but we arrived around 1:30 after taking the train from Oslo and they were able to get us right in, which was lovely after a 6 plus hour train ride. I enjoy staying at hotels that feature an artsy style concept and this one has that.

We got a standard double room so we weren't expecting a magnificent view, and that was realistic of us. The windows faced the windows of the hotel next door. Nothing else was visible. We couldn't keep the curtains open and have strong confidence in our privacy. This isn't really a complaint. We assumed the rooms with views of the water would be higher rate rooms. Lots of reviews mention a free upgrade to a room with a view. I'm sure the hotel does this whenever it isn't full of guests. It certainly feels that friendly. It was busy when we were there.

The location is great, on the water front and close to the center. The room was clean, comfortable, and warm, particularly as the temperatures outsider were sub zero. I particularly liked the floor heating in the bathroom. The breakfast was great and the wifi very reliable and fast. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The lighting în the bathroom was not great, particularly as the walls are dark. This is a problem when you want to shave and you don't have the 20/20 vision of some years back...

Location was awesome. Had a view on side canal with a view across the harbor. Loved having a small patio and double doors that opened up to harbor view.

Hotel is a bit of a maze, particularly on floor 2C. But once we figured it out, access to stairs was easy. Directions to parking garage would be helpful - I was provided an address at check in but my car GPS tried to send me down a pedestrian walkway. It also wasn’t clear that my parking discount at the garage was applied, as payment wasn’t completed until leaving the hotel.

Brilliant breakfast. The view of the harbour. Love that this chain of hotels gives you the choice about cleaning and linen changing .

Rooms aren't large as they have too much furniture in them . Remove wardrobe and chair, sideboard and put in hanging rails and shelves for suitcases. Difficult for public transport. Local ferry nearby. Taxi from airport or catch the bus from the airport not the train.

Great location right near center of town and right on the water. Breakfast was excellent. They had a fabulous spread that my husband really liked, with a ton of different breads and creamy fresh butter in little wax paper-wrapped rectangles. The quality of the food was above par. We stayed in the hotel one night for dinner and it was exceptional! The fish soup and beef bourguignon were so flavorful. The beef flaked apart and the bases for both perfectly seasoned. We sat outside one evening overlooking the water and had drinks. It was quiet, and the water, Manu, was wonderful. He was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely come again!

Not sure about if there was AC; not much we didn't like!

Front desk staff was excellent, at check in and out as well as when I wanted to switch rooms. The breakfast was excellent - a ton of choices that would satisfy any diner and hot food was hot, cold food cold. The location and view from the room on the water side was excellent and I am grateful the windows opened since it was extraordinarily warm the time I was in Bergen. I did not get my room attended to while I stayed so no comment on that. The bathtub is wonderfully deep but too short, but the level of hot water and pressure is fabulous. Room coffee was good.

My tv remote was not working and when I arrived, the tv was on and wouldn’t turn off. Rather than bother the front desk and since I didn’t plan on watching tv, I just unplugged the tv. The rooms were tiny - barely enough room to squeeze into and out of bed and the top mattress on the bed kept sliding off to one side. Lighting in the bathroom was very poor - especially if applying make up- the only lights available were string lights around the mirror. View from my initial room, facing the street, was really bad.

Very good breakfast, nice rooms. I got a room overlooking a building, try to get one overlooking the water. I got one for my 2nd stay, much nicer view. Location is good, not far from the fish market and an easy walk into the main part of town

The room I got was nice but looking at a building wasn't the best view, otherwise it was a good stay

We stayed at this lovely hotel for one night prior to departure on a Northern Lights cruise. The staff were very helpful on checkin. Our room was a good size with a beautiful view across the water to the historic buildings on the foreshore. Breakfast was fulsome and varied and really couldn't have been better. We stayed at a different hotel on our return following the cruise and were very disappointed we didn't stay at this hotel again. Close to all sights, shopping and restaurants.

Nothing.

I requested a room with a view and it was exceptional. A beautiful view of Bryggen and watch the boats come and go from my bed. The room was small but comfortable and given that the Admiral is located in a older building on the water and in the heritage part of Bergen it was to be expected and enjoyed. The location to the waterfront, shopping areas, bus stops to the airport, railway and ferry terminals was a plus. I would stay again at the hotel and recommend it to friends.
