We really liked it here! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and went the extra mile to meet our requests even before we arrived, so we felt very safe and welcome! The kitchen unit is very useful and we really enjoyed the free coffee. Once the coffee machine stopped working, but the staff immediately helped and were competent to repair it. In general, the staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful at any time and they always tried their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. So if you need anything, just talk to them, they all are amazing people and super nice. :) The location is amazing, there are many points of interests you can reach by foot, and even if you don't want to walk, there is a tram station nearby that's served by quite a few lines. If you want to go shopping, there are many options within reach (even for grocery shopping), and there's a cafe right next to the hotel as well. So I really can't think of anything that's missing. The area itself is lively, but still quiet at night (except for Fridays, but it still was okay). No matter what time of day it was, we always felt very safe and comfortable, which made our stay absolutely enjoyable! :)

The windows were a bit hard to open, but I guess that's due to the age of the building. The facilities could be more modern, but everything was fully functional and clean, so actually there's nothing to really complain about.

I have stayed here quite a few times and normally I love it. On this occasion everything was good except the check-in.

There is a front desk here that is manned at all hours I have ever been awake, so I'm not sure why they would need to know the exact time you are going to arrive. What is more we were liable on our card for our first night, so they were going to have our money whatever happened. Anyway, I got a call when we did not turn up at just the right time (I had thought we were just giving an indicative time, and still don't know why all the inconvenience was necessary). We changed our plans because of this, and came over to check-in (thus reducing the value of booking here vs. other options where you have to do a rendez-vous). The effect of this was that we missed dinner. We were not at all impressed.

The hotel was in a great location and walking distance to most attractions, and only a 10 minute walk from the National Theatre train station. The staff on check in couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Our room was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. What we loved was that there is a free coffee machine on the second floor with a microwave and vending machine with microwave meals in it. This was not advertised anywhere when we booked, and was a very happy bonus for us. The hotel also has a TV room where you can sit and relax, and also use after check out. They do also allow you to store your luggage there after check out too. We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it.

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like, everything was perfect!

I was at Cochs Pensjonat for a research visit. Good location, it is close to some cafés, supermarkets, tramway stations. People who work at Cochs Pensjonat are very kind. They want you to feel comfortable at the hotel. At the beginning, I had some issues with the wifi and they did their best to fix it. The room I took was nice, I had the comfort that I needed for this stay in Oslo. I completely recommand this hotel !

The wifi is not super good

Room was spacious and we had a balcony - that was really nice. Beds were good - everything was clean. The bathroom and shower down the hall was no big deal. Easy to get to on public transportation - lots of different ways to get to and lots of different ways to get to the bus/train station or to the airport. Lots of food choices nearby. Good park is nearby. Person at the desk checking us in was really good.

At first it was a little hard to find reception, but it was on the next floor up. Would be nice to have a small sign on the ground floor indicating reception is upstairs.

The pensionat is wonderfully located in a charming area in Central Oslo. Checking in was easy, the staff was extremely polite and we were able to store our luggage in the place before our check in time. The room was clean and is very bright with lovely big windows overlooking the city. Having a stove and a fridge saved us during the evenings when we were too tired to go out!

The room itself isn't very special and offers the minimum for the stay, the beds were not the most confortable and having a bathroom rug would be amazing too.

I liked the environment situated nearby the Slottsparken. The beautiful Pensionat Cochs both from exterior and interior. So well kept with the same design of the doors to each floor as well as the hight windows. The step with it´s old patterned carpet and metallists reminds us of passed time ...

I would prefer white thin curtains inside the "night" curtains to light up the beautiful incoming light from the big windows. I would prefer a higher level of the table and a more ergonimic chair for breakfast time. The relaxing chair is ok when watching News at television.

i stay here almost once a month. It is cheap and central, the staff always cates to my needs and provides a quiet room. There is a coffee machine available and the coffee is good! There is cutlery and pots available in the reception, so one can cook a soup for example. There is a fridge and usually a TV. I was made aware that a site called "guest reservations" was a scam, so avaoid that, they charge 3-400 NOK more.

The pillos are a little high. Once there was a homeless lady sitting next to the coffee machine at around 5 am, I got a little startled. I have no other remarks.

We really liked the old house with a beautiful large balcony that had beautiful iron railings made in the 1900-800s.The biggest surprise of this house, when we went inside there were beautiful iron railings. And when we went up to our apartment we went into the room, and after walking into the room we went out onto the most beautiful balcony with iron railings and looked down from the fourth floor into the street, which was shifted by beautiful lighting and next to a large bar, where we had dinner and drinkn orwegian beer.

The location is near to National Theatre station and very near to a tram station. The building gives a retro feel and have shops near by. There is a small eatary attached to the hotel near entrance. It has its own TV/Breakout area with a coffee machine. Very much a dearm place to stay and felt warm and safe. Saw many solo travelers opting to stay there. Overall it is nice and budget friendly place.

Nothing much to say negative but a little improvement in the sound which doors make while opening and closing can be done.
