The staff are exceptionally wonderful. Really helpful and cheerful too. Room was very clean, and a great location. The place is old, not luxurious but very simple, charming and clean and I really enjoyed staying there. I would take this any day over a luxury hotel. Lots of personality.

We really could have used equipment in the kitchenette. It had none and we had to ask for things and staff seemed perplexed by the request. But Olso is very expensive and eating out in restaurants for every meal is not ideal. we really wanted to make some of our own food - simple packaged soups etc. But there wasn't even a cup or bowl or pan or utensils. nothing.

The location was great-close to 3restaurants and 2 breakfast places, a neighborhood of quaint old buildings, a lovely walk through the park to get to a transportation hub for buses and trams. The friendly 24 hour staff answered many tourist questions, made many calss to museums to see if they had wheel chairs to use, and ordered taxis

It would have been better to provide breakfast, or to have at least a 50% discount at the coffee shop. We loved being in an old building, but in the renovation there were many uneven doorways you have to step over-one was about 2 inch difference that I tripped over and fell-they should have put in an angled piece of wood like they had done in another doorway that was the same

Cochs is in a brilliant location just above Palace Park. There are plenty of good eateries and the 19 tram passes the front door. The embassy district is behind the hotel and is worth a stroll. The room was fairly small but manageable. Most importantly the staff were ever helpful and the room extremely clean. There are almost no amenities in the room other than the toilet paper which they list, kind of funny really. However Oslo is an expensive city and the room rate made up for the somewhat Spartan room. Overall it represented good value for money and I would stay again. (We noted another reviewer who said that the front rooms were noisy so we got a back room. The back rooms are smaller than the front and if you have to leave a window open as we did because it was pretty hot weather then the back rooms are noisy as well, but we very quickly got used to it.)

Lack of room facilities. Wouldn't cost to much to provide some toiletries etc that you find in most hotels.

The hotel is in a very nice building, super close to the Royal palace and its park and located in a quite fancy area, is nice to walk around. There are also cafes, bars and supermarkets nearby. Staff is super kind. They also give to you a discount for a cafe downstairs to have breakfast (I forgot to use it). You can easily walk to the royal palace as well as to the National Museum and Aker Brygge. The room was ok, quite big considering that it was a single room and it also had a small kitchen and the fridge. Luggage deposit available.

Nothing in particular but the price to me seems expensive. The room does not have an hairdryer so you have to go to the reception and asks for it.

The location is superb, staff so very friendly but the highlight is the bed!! We stayed in the budget part of the pensjonat but there was nothing budget about! Also free coffee and proximity to cafes is something special. Amazing value for money!

I will have to be very picky here as there is not much to not like but if I have to it would be very loud doors which if you need to use the restroom at night can wake up the rest of the people in the room. They had one sliding door for the luggage and I think tahat this could be helpful. But again it is such a small thing in comparison to the rest of all amazing things in this place.

Great location, nicely old fashioned, very clean, very helpful friendly staff, excellent 24 hour Reception. Good restaurants very close to hand, lovely Royal Park just across the road, giving us a quick and pleasant walk to the harbour, the amazing museums and the historic heart.

The electronic door lock to our room broke down, the evening Reception chap tried to fix it but didn't have much success, but it was fixed the next day. The room contained a nice little kitchenette, but neither cutlery, plates nor glasses, all a bit odd, but as we didn't plan to eat there it was OK.

Service was friendly and helpful. The room was clean (I liked the fact that it was not carpeted) and reasonably-sized with a sofa bed for the 3rd occupant. Overall, it was a comfortable stay. There are convenience shops all around the hotel.

The hotel is situated quite a distance from the train station. It is easier to take a tram but we decided to walk after sitting for such a long time on our flight and on the train. Not the best of ideas as the walk was uphill at times with our heavy luggage. The hotel is quite near the palace and the tram stop is just a little further down the road.

The location was excellent for exploring Oslo, literally across the road from the Royal Place Gardens and within easy walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants, bus stops & tram stops as well as the National Theatre train station which connects directly to the airport. The accomodation itself is in a charming old building. Our room on the 5th floor was large and was furnished with a large comfortable bed, a table with two chairs, a desk, a wardrobe, a fridge & a sink. The bathroom had a bath with a shower over it that had good water pressure. The reception staff were friendly & helpful, providing us with helpful sightseeing information. There were tea/coffee making facilities & a microwave for use in the public area on level two.

We believe that the provision of a kettle in the room would have further improved the facilities in the room.

I had a great stay for two nights at Cochspenjsonat. Check in was very easy, with a friendly person at reception. The room was relatively big with big windows and quite comfortable, with a good desk area for working. The location is excellent, right in the center of Oslo, so I was able to do everything on foot, go to the seafront, walk in the nearby gardens... There are a lot of restaurants & bars nearby and a supermarket just round the corner. I went to a Bao takeway place nearby that did bubble tea, was delicious!

The only downside to this place is that they don't offer real breakfast, even though you can make yourself tea or coffee in a communal area. They have an arrangement with a café next door though. I ended up buying things from the supermarket and using the fridge in my room to keep them. Also, there is a very popular pub/bar just across the street that gets quite noisy outdoors in the summer - couldn't sleep until midnight/1 am, but it's part of the ideal location of the place.

Very clean and well presented hotel. Welcoming and friendly staff who were helpful and kindly provided extra towels and hairdryers for us. Good location, central and close to a lovely park. A short walk from all the main sights and some great little bars and restaurants nearby. Loved the tiny coffee shop downstairs and Expressohouse round the corner. The room was nicely decorated, cosy and safe feeling. Perfect for business or fun, for a family, friends or couple. Thank you Cochs Pensjonat you saved our vacation weekend after a horrible airbnb experience!!

Maybe more towels as standard in the room. But this is a small detail
