Breakfast was lovely, and the room size was perfect for our needs

We didn't know about the student discount, or the free breakfast when booking through the hotel's own website. We only learned about it after paying. Bummer.

Excellent hotel, with central location. Great breakfast. Rooms are small, but per the area in property description. Amazingly helpful staff Ms. Tuva at Front desk. I forgot my phone in a taxi while getting out at the hotel at night. Ms. Tuva immediately called the largest taxi company in Oslo - Oslo Taxi. She took the time and explained the situation - including Taxi drop-off location, pickup location, Fare, drop-off time, taxi description, phone model, phone type, traveller description. Oslo Taxi said it was not their taxi. But, they, Oslo Taxi informed other taxi companies. Early next morning, The taxi driver Mr. Zansheer found my phone under the seat and drove back there, returned my phone to the hotel. Norwegian hospitality and honesty demonstrated at its best. Truly Norway is an Amazing country, with citizens like Ms. Tuva and Mr. Zansheer.

This Hotel has met my expectations. Let us consider all the pros: -Staff: they were really friendly and professional. -Check-in/out: it was done by using the monitors at the entrance. Very quick, very efficient -The Hotel: its location is the reason why I selected this particular hotel. You can easily enough reach all touristy attractions by foot. Two min walk from the Royal residence and the Nationaltheatret T-metro line. Amazing location! -The Room: it was small, but honestly it was more than enough. For a short stay I would say it is perfect. -Miscellaneous: there was no sign saying if the tap water was drinkable, so I bought bottled water.

I am giving an 8/10 to this hotel, but there are some smaller things that need to be mentioned: -Towels: I got a big towel for drying after the shower and one small one for drying my hands, but there was not a third one for the floor to dry up after the shower. This made the floor a real mess. -Shower: not really suited for tall/big guys, I was a bit squeezed in there while taking a shower.

Hello, I hope I can be of help to you during your trip! Overall the hotel is great if you are staying for a few days to 1 week. It is quite clean, new, Scandinavian style, practical, friendly staff, the staff is always available for any services or questions. The food in the lobby is good for a snack. The toilets are in the room itself, small but practical, clean, modernistically done. We did not have breakfast included so I cannot comment on the food. Location is great, 5 minutes from the National Theater, 5 minutes walk from the Royal Palace which is another big plus for safety. The streets are well lit and the hotel is easy to find, there are buses that also drop you off right in front of the hotel.

Now for the room, it is generally okay, the only complaint for me and my partner was that it was too small, we felt like home, clean, warm, comfortable.

The room was very clean, very quiet and it had a tv with a chromecast option which we loved. The check in and check out are done yourself and are very easy and quick. There is always staff present for questions and they are very kind. The location of the hotel is convenient. Perhaps not the most in the center but for its price its distance is amazing. You walk up in 10-15 minutes to the town center and in 25 you are at the central train station.

The room was a tiny bit small, as two people you had to crawl over each other in the bed and you had to sit on the bed to let the other pass to the bedroom. However if you are a couple this doesn’t matter and I’m sure of you don’t take the 8m2 room it is absolutely perfect.

The staff at the reception and during breakfast were friendly and helpful. Not a grumpy person in sight. :) The breakfast was delicious, fresh and plentiful: hot and cold, sweet and savoury. A mixture of Norwegian, American and European (for lack of a better word) breakfast foods. Lots of different juices, yoghurt drinks, tea and coffee. I knew the room was small but for my needs it was absolutely enough. There were several clothes hangers, a drawer underneath the bed to store some of my clothes. There was also enough space on the floor for my luggage. There was a small electric heater in the room and a window to let some fresh air in. The walls looked like they were freshly painted and the furniture looked new and clean as did the whole room and bathroom. The bathroom was also big enough for me. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and several tram stops close by. You can walk easily to the center or the train station. I would definitely stay here again.

The reception hall is spacious and pleasant. The internet connection was excellent. The hotel is well-located in the town center, close to restaurants and shops. The room was very quiet, with no noise from other guests or the street, which was a pleasant surprise.

The room was very small, as expected, with no space to fully open a suitcase—let alone two. The bathroom had limited space for a toiletry bag, and the shower was quite compact. The location is a bit far from the train station, especially if carrying luggage. Be aware that check-in is only between 15:00 and 16:00; an extra fee applies for early or late check-in.

The staff couldn't be more helpful, and had such an excellent attitude, so friendly and professional. The 24 desk staff made me feel so much safer and took away worries regarding check-in and late night drinking. The man who was working the night shift was particularly nice, and dealt with drunken guests perfectly. The double room was perfect for me as I just sleep, shower and leave, I think a couple might struggle with the floorspace. The location was ideal, just a 5 minute walk from the palace which was at the top of the main tourist strip leading to the key locations throughout the city and very very safe.

The breakfast wasn't very exciting and I'd expect more hot options for the price (about £14 when I went). But it wasn't bad, and the presentation was beautiful and if you go to a cafe for a coffee and a pastry it would be about £8 so if you like a big breakfast it's worth it, but if you're like me and just want a coffee and a snack then just hit a cafe instead ❤️

Smart Hotel is a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Oslo. The price was very reasonable, and the hotel was immaculately clean, with all the facilities working really well. If you have read the description you will already know that the rooms are small, but there was enough space for me as a solo traveler; not sure how much bigger the double rooms are. I didn't have the breakfast but it looked fresh and varied, and the lobby area was a nice place to spend time and prepare for the day. Excellent links to local public transport. I'd definitely consider staying here if visiting Olso again.

Location was only okay, not right in the centre of town but only a short walk to get there.

The room was extremely comfortable despite the compact size and didn't feel claustrophobic. It's fun to stay in such a room for fans of functional Scandic design. The bed is very comfortable, has storage drawers under it. There are holes in the wall where you can hang stuff too, plus some shelving for small items and enough floor space to open your suitcase. The heater worked well. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful and the self-checkin process was very fast and easy to use. The lobby area had lots of comfortable seating and there is a small shop with snacks and drinks available. Everything was extremely clean and modern.

The sink in the bathroom is really very tiny. It's okay for washing hands, but pretty difficult for washing your face without splashing water all over the floor.
