Very nice and helpfull, friendly personal, open for every question and willing to help. Close to downtown, everything in walking distance. The rooms, ate small, but well thoughtthrough. Breakfast is a buffett, with everything you can wish for, even selfmade waffles. WhenI go back to Oslo, I would love to stay there again and recommend it to my friends.

I recieved some massage by sms from the hotel before my arrival for informarion, but since they where only in norwegien I couldn't read them. It would have been nice,if they would have been at least in english.

Very nice hotel. The room, just as it was promised, was very small. But it was very comfortable, warm and had all things for pleasant stay. Moreover, SmartHotel has amazing ground floor. There, the reception, the cafe for breakfast and a space to relax are located. The space for relaxation is very good. It is organized really in smart manner being separated in several sections. There are lots of comfortable armchairs and tables, there are bookshelves, and several table games for free access The breakfast is also delicious. The location of the hotel is absolutely good - foot access to embankment, castle, lots of museums, city center and even a large train/metro station from where you can easily get to the airport and to every other place inside the city. I definitely recommend SmartHotel to stay in Oslo!

Overall, it's good value for money! The location of the hotel is great to explore Oslo. The staff was very helpful. I really liked the common areas even though we didn't sit there. In general it's a great hotel for people that want to experience the city and don't intend to spend much time in the room. The room was clean.

There was a lot of noise from the streets when we opened the window but with the window closed it was a little bit too warm. The sink was so small that water would go everywhere when I was washing my face. I think a small fridge would be nice to have.

Although the rooms are small, that was clear in advance and the price was correspondingly low. There's a big lounge area where you can eat, work, or while away time, so you don't have to sit in the room stewing, I was really grateful that they let me hang out there after checking out. it was raining and there was a while until my train.

the door didn't auto-lock. I only discovered this because I am ultra cautious and always check my door upon leaving. (I mentioned this to staff who said they would look into it.) It's fair enough that there aren't kettles in the room but it would be great if they had one in the lounge. There's a big machine that keeps water near boiling temperature at breakfast time, but they turn it off after that and it goes tepid.

Room was large enough to accommodate a family of 4, but this came at a cost, but I guess hotel rooms are expensive in Oslo. Bathroom was quite large. Breakfast was not included and it was quite expensive so we didn't use it. Hotel advertises that breakfast is always included when booking directly from their website.

No complaints, other than breakfast not being included and being quite expensive. Breakfast should be included when booking directly from hotel website but I don't know how much that adds to room costs.

Staff were incredibly friendly and supportive and really made the atmosphere in the hotel exceptional. The hotel was very clean and had a nice common area by the reception to relax in the evening. Breakfast was great and a good value for money - the choice of food was great and it was of very high quality. Location is also great, the hotel is located very centrally and a very short walk from main attractions and easy to travel to from/to airport and other interesting parts of Oslo like Holmenkollen. Highly recommended

I liked everything but it would be even nicer to have slightly bigger room. I booked small double which is more appropriate for a single person and I felt it is very small for a couple or two people staying in, there was hardly any space to move around and packing/unpacking was not comfortable as it was very narrow. But overall I didn’t stay in the room for long I was mostly outside and there was plenty of space near the reception to comfortably enjoy the evening which was great.

Location was central, garage was really expensive for less than 24h, cleanliness was really good. Didn't try the breakfast as we found it quite overpriced. We had breakfast at a bakery very near though.

The room was quite small for a couple, bed had one exit, bathroom was a mouse trap, I think 3-4 more square meters would make the experience really better. Also I should have decided to upgrade the room the moment we entered and found out the size. Last the automated self check-in system was not in sync with the manned reception, I prefer to use own systems to check-in but I would have to wait 1-2 more hours to self check-in.

The concept of this hotel is that the rooms are supersmall, and everything except for sleeping/washing can be done in the cosy common areas in the laundry. That works quite well: many people did spend time in those common areas, which gave a pleasant atmosphere (there are also power sockets and some play tools available). The rooms were clean and functional, breakfast was very nice. The hotel is withing walking distance of the port and of some of the Oslo highlights. We were there only 1 evening, and were pleasantly surprised that we could see so much of the city in just one evening walk.

The do-it-yourself check-in with touchscreens is a good approach, but it was not so well designed for a reservation of multiple rooms with Booking.com: it was considered as several reservations, and every room had to be paid separately. I can imagine there is an easy design fix for this.

Lovey. No complaints. Great location close to tram around the block, train station at national theater a few blocks away, many attractions a stones throw away like national gallery, king palace, harbor, church, post office, grocery store. Easy walking distance to activites. I felt safe inside the hotel and in the neighborhood. Breakfast...what a tasty spread! Worth it. Great variety. Room is cozy. Clean. Quiet. Staff were very helpful with finding local necessities and directions. good customer service from every one. Enjoyed a cup of tea in the evening my first night recovering from jet lag. Relaxing atmosphere. they also have drinks avalible. Room Price is reasonable. Plenty of lounging space including an outside patio. Love the attention to recycle, ecofriendly.

Pretty happy and satisfied with my stay.

It's a minimalist hotel, at least as far as the (nicely designed) rooms are concerned. "You don't need 42m2" is the Smarthotel point of view, and basically that is true. The location of the hotel is nice - short walk to train and metro (National Theatre station), close to the main street and waterside. Quiet.

The Smarthotel concept wants you to enjoy their spacious living room and only sleep in your famously small room; but a business traveller does not have a proper desk/table in the room - the small sideboard does not support a laptop. The view of a huge concrete block is not the most appealing :) But then again: you are only supposed to sleep on the room. Eyes closed. The bed was okay, but not the most comfortable (preferences differ).
