Very friendly staff. Great reception area. Historic place. Super central location. Very comfy bed.

Didn't quite feel like a 5-star hotel; little things were off: low shower pressure; ugly view from the windows; neither traditional waffles nor Norwegian brown cheese at breakfast; too tightly packed breakfast area; very annoying music during breakfast; very little space for clothing in the room (just 4 hangers for 2 people?); my mother had a hard time getting into the shower, which was integrated into a bath tub; noisy fans during the night; minibar without prices visible; no welcome drink. While all those details reminded me of a normal, good 4-star hotel in Norway, the price certainly was 5-star.

centrally located, near to all major sites, neighborhoods and train station and restaurants. reception staff, Bell boys are great.

overall it’s decent property but it does need some attention towards bedding in each room. mattress were so soft and pillows were not even pillows, it was bunch of feathers in the bag that soft it was. definitely needs some upgrading in bathroom where plastic shielding the water from shower is so small that it leaks the water out in sink area.

the standard room is a joke, 9000NOK for that is ridiculous, our view was of a wall. judgemental staff the spa is sad, no atmosphere nothing

Staff upgraded us to the best room in the hotel for $100 more per night. Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and helped with restaurants, airline bookings when we couldn't find an appropriate flight and even brought a scale to my room so I could see how much weight I had lost.

The first room was NOT wheelchair accessible as requested 5 months in advance. The wheelchair couldn't fit through the doorway. The staff were late to clean the room and once didn't do so at all. One door didn't close properly, and a light didn't work, but they did fix both issues although it did take some time. Very limited in room dining menu.

The hotel is right in the center of the city, with a beautiful rooftop bar and spa, which was very affordable and fun. The lobby is beautiful and both stairs and elevators were spacious and comfortable to use. The room was big and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was diverse and delicious. The staff was very accommodating and gave us plenty of ideas of activities to do along with tips on how to get to the airport.

The rooms around us had construction going on, which meant there was quite a bit of noise during the day, as well as debris in the hallway. As for the bathroom, it had some awkward angles which made it tricky to climb into the shower.

The central location is amazing, could not be better. The room was quiet despite the central location. The room was in excellent condition and clean.

The breakfast was very good, but perhaps not as good as other top-quality hotels. The coffee service was fairly slow. The room was excellent and large, but the bathroom was fairly small with no space to store toiletries, so we had to keep them by our bags and bring them to the bathroom each time we used them. Also, It is one of the few rooms in a hotel of this quality that does not have any mirror in the room outside of the small bathroom. Therefore, we had to deal with fogged mirrors to comb our hair after using the shower. These are minor points for an otherwise excellent room, but they could be improved by the hotel.

Different staff providing different information. Heating in room could not be turned down and remained too hot during the night. Window could not close properly.

very luxury clean and nice hotel,the location was excellent ,the staff in the reception was super kind and helpful,specially one pakistani girl.We were in junior suite and the size was big enough for us

the second night was very noisy because of some night club next to the hotel.We had also bad experience with the housekeepers,they throw one bottle with just opened bottle of water ,also they took half of my la prarie eye cream.They probably thought I am not gonna discover it,but I saw it immediately because the cost of this cream is 500 euro and i don’t use it very often. However i forgive the housekeeper which done that because the hotel was so nice!

Friendly and helpful personell. Attraktive interiors (restaurants, reception etc), room too small cramped in relation to steep price.

Very noisy party Friday to Saturday night, noise thanks to inner court yard reached 6th floor undiminished. Very annoying!!

Everything - but more specifically: the staff were all amazing, the location, the food options in/around hotel, room+bed+amenities. This is an excellent choice and worth the price. The hotel is a historic landmark and it is beautifully preserved. We opted for the grand deluxe - the view is the inner courtyard and top of the atrium - ask for a higher floor or if one of the few that face the side street are available. All options are beautiful and comfortable!

This is not particular to this hotel - but in Scandinavia in many five star hotels you have to ask for things such as a shower cap, etc. I understand why they do this but it’s annoying when getting ready in the morning not to have a shower cap. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel - it’s been one of the best stays!
