Immaculately clean, personal touches (chocolate bar, handwritten note), little convenient extras like phone charger/tote bag, environmental emphasis. Luggage room. Great central locatio, but quiet. Comfy and cosy room.

Code to enter building didn't work on the one occasion I needed to use it (2.30 am). On previous occasions, I'd coincidentally been entering the building as someone else left. Phoned number provided on hotel door. Recorded message saying can only be contacted during early hours in event of emergency. But no number provided. Another guest let me in after 20 mins or so. Then Bob W phoned me. Info stated there was an iron and ironing board. There wasn't. No rest room/toilet in foyer to use once you've checked out and are collecting your bags from luggage room.

Bob’s property is superbly located right in the centre of the city, within half a block of Carl Johan’s Gate and in easy walking distance of most sights and activities. Trams are easily accessible and the apartments are a 10 minute walk from the central bus and train stations. The property is clean and comfortable, the upper floors accessed by lift. The apartment had modern decor and lots of thoughtful touches such as coffee, chocolate, breakfast suggestions, adaptors etc. The staff were very responsive, with all communication being online. The door codes were also delivered online and this all went seemlessly.

The only negatives in my experience were things out of Bob’s control. On one side is a building site. The workers started around 7am until 7pm. There is the option to move to a different apartment on another side of the block if the noise is too much. Street noise on the weekend was also quite loud.

Location is perfect, rooms are quiet, very clean and comfortable

Building is PIN code/room access is mobile phone driven. If you arrive to early - your codes don't work, you can't get into building (unless you tailgate) and you are unable to access luggage room. The same is on departure/checkout if you have to leave your luggage for a while. When chatting to support on WhatsApp you can experience more than 10 mins delays before reaction/answer - well, this sometimes can add some stress, especially when weather outside is bad or you have to catch a train to airport. Moreover, if your phone gets lost/stolen - you are in trouble :) No controls of room temperature - at least I was unable to find them . . .

Excellent location: Bob W Sentralen is right in the heart of Oslo just off of Karl Johan Gate (the main thoroughfare for shops, restaurants/bars, and key sights such as Stortinget/Parliament and the National Theatre). It's around the corner from multiple tram and bus routes, and only a 5 minutes walk to Oslo S station. Other key sights, such as the Opera House, Aker Brygge, Nasjonal Museet, etc are no more than a 15 minutes walk away. In spite of its central location, the room I had was lovely and quiet, and the bed was super comfortable, so I got a good night's sleep for each of the 4 nights I stayed at Bob W Sentralen. Entry to the building is by pin code, which is sent the night before arrival, and initial entry to my room was via my mobile phone, activated just before arrival. Details of internet connection were also sent in advance. Thereafter there's a choice of continuing to use the phone key activation or a physical key card found inside the room. I really appreciated the messages from Bob W checking that I was able to access my room ok and asking if there was anything else I needed. Other things I loved about Bob W Sentralen: * super clean on arrival; * their efforts to make guests' stay as enviro-friendly and carbon neutral as possible; * the toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and hand wash * the mood board, which included: postcards, stickers, a bag containing recharger cables and an adapter plug, and Instamax camera and film, a reusable tote bag...; * the kettle and refreshments tray; particularly loved the chai tea and tumeric tea, and the reusable water bottle; ...and all the other little touches, like the additional woolen bed cover if you get cold (but you shouldn't do; room was at a nice, comfortable temperature), and the yoga mat. Also, I didn't visit it, but there is a laundry room on the ground floor.

Very, very minor details: * the original Booking.com description mentioned a fridge and an iron as 'facilities', but this was not the case though for the single room I was in; * could do with a bin in the room, as there was just the small bin in the bathroom. However, I could have contacted Bob W via either text or WhatsApp if I had really needed it emptying before the end of my stay, so not a problem.

Location, location, location! Walkable from the train station and most amazing of all the Constitution Day parade on May 17 marched directly below my window!

As an older traveler, the all-automated entry access was uncomfortable for me but doable.

The location is perfect. Walking distance to all Oslo’s main sights. Very clean.

The electric key system is floored, particularly if you are travelling from abroad and lose internet connection. Noise from upstairs is noticeable.

Breakfast was from a choice of 2 cafes and a credit on the Bob W. App Reception area. Very easily redeemed at the cafe. Calming room fragrance of a forest essence Osmia. Gentle essence and not off-putting like many hotels can be in the lobby. Quiet for being in the city center, and I was in the top floor. Request if you need quiet!

Aware that the Bob W. Reception app would require usage of my phone, ( app easily available via texts sent to my phone), I became concerned I better have my phone completely charged for any updates. Top up your device charging before your arrival so your experience is easy. Mine was, but my battery was getting low! I didn’t mind not having a person at reception, but I was happy to see someone after checkout that helped me with the luggage room!

My recent stay at Best of Both Worlds (BOB W) in the center of Oslo 🇳🇴 was a fantastic experience that exceeded my expectations. This unique boutique hotel offers a blend of modern comfort and convenience, with an excellent location, clean rooms, great value for the price, and exceptional customer service, despite the lack of a traditional reception. All the doors open digitally from your phone so need for a check in card. I loved the location, my stay allowed me to walk everywhere in the center, including Royal Palace, National Gallery or easily access public transportation. The room was clean and well maintained. Within the price, there is a online yoga class, gym subscription included, breakfast recommendations, a Polaroid camera 🙇 and a plastic water bottle to borrow during your stay. The room design had a focus on functionality and comfort. There was even a flat-screen TV (no English channels though), coffee maker with personalized coffee, and free internet, provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay.Despite the hotel not having a traditional reception, the hotel staff were readily available and responsive to any inquiries or requests I had through Whats App. The communication was prompt, friendly, and efficient. BOB W exceeded my expectations. The hotel offers competitive rates for its central location and modern amenities, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers who still want to enjoy a comfortable and convenient stay in Oslo. The quality of the rooms, service, and location were all outstanding, and I felt that I received great value for the price I paid.

Maybe missing English speaking TV channels and no cleaning service during the stay? Minor inconveniences that cannot match the value price of the stay.

First, I would like to Thank you for making my first Visit to Oslo unforgettable. This Hotel deserves 5 starts rating for everything. The experience was new and unique to me since everything is managed by the team remotely and I believe this will lead to a new era of hotel experience which is unique and good. The staff who were contacting me through emails and WhatsApp were so helpful and I had all information regarding check in, room lock ..etc. in advance. The location of the hotel is excellent, very central, and close to everything you need and walking distance from everything. The hotel is brand new, and I liked the modern decorations. The room was more than I expected, in the photos it looked smaller, but it was much larger and enough for one person. The room was well decorated and equipped with everything you need. The welcoming message made me feel so emotional and I liked “the wall of souvenirs”, the bed was so comfortable, and I was sleeping like babies. The bathroom is modern and clean. The hotel was so quite all the time. The internet connection was excellent. I liked the idea that instead of having open buffet for breakfast they gave me voucher to use in 2 bakeries and this is brilliant idea for many reasons, first they limit the food waste second, they gave you options to choose whatever you want and honestly the bakeries that they had the deal with are so good and with 150 NOK you can get nice breakfast. Really the whole experience was great and looking forward for staying in other BOB W hotels all over the world.

When you speak about BOB W, this option should be removed. Because Everything is perfect.

I was very impressed by the whole Bob W experience. The location (central Oslo) was perfect, close to all the attractions, shops and transport links (central train station. The rooms are comfortable, have what you need and with lovely personal touches like a yoga mat, bag and Polaroid camera. The communication with Bob W is swift and ease, I always felt supported despite being a person-less hotel. Getting in and out of the building was easy with a code they send to you, the your room door recognises your phone. Excellent service and I will most definitely use again.
