We asked this hotel many questions and they consistently responded promptly.; we are on 3d floor - very quiet; a delicious restaurant next door; easy to walk to ATM and juice places; rooftop pool and area to sit outside; some nice touches to room decorations- lovely drapes, stained glass lamps, wooden furniture. Breakfast was a buffet - sweet and savory options. Breakfast began at 6:30 am. Location is easy to walk to restaurants, grocery stores and to bus stops. All of the staff are friendly and helpful; especially housekeeping.

There is mold on some of the shower tiles. Our window does not open - sealed shut. Our view is maopinly of a parking lot and the back of buildings. The A/C is not strong - it cools off directly in front of the vent, but the entire room is not cooled down. The internet is very inconsistent - also inconsistent on rooftop. Can hear noise from hallway in room. Shower has very hot water and strong pressure - sometimes the water temperature changes to scalding hot or cold without any warning.

It’s a very good location and good view from the room

The staff I made a book 25 august to 26 august for some reason I didn’t able to arrive 25 night but I arrived in 26 morning and check out 26 evening My booking price was 13.5 omr according to the booking.com But he charge me 15 omr which I agree no problem it’s should not be charge But later in the evening i revived email from booking.com that I stay in the hotel or no I mention I stay in the hotel which I stay & true I be come very disappointed when I received call from the hotel and he asking me why did I informed booking.com & he shouting at me also saying they have to pay now booking.com My question to the hotel and booking.com why he need to shouting at me which is I pay more the my booking price

The Platinum is not an ultramodern hotel. It is modern tradicional hotel which made our holiday in Oman absolutly fantastic. We didn't feel like in somewhere in business centrum. And that feeling we looking for. I definitely recommend

I really liked the hotel - the room was comfortable, well equipped, and serviced each day. The hotel was well located amongst many shops and eateries. The breakfast buffet was good (including hot western type items as well as cereals, salads and fruits (though a better variety of these would have been appreciated), Overall though, at around £40 per night (inc breakfast), it was good value. Dispensed shower gel, shampoo and soap were great, as was the toothbrush kit (not used). The swimming pool on the rooftop also looked nice (if small).

the hot water was a bit intermittent (i.e one day it was luke warm at best) and their rates for taxis were rather high (an airport shuttle would have been appreciated). I also wasn't receiving calls to the room phone. The shower did tend to spray over the bath, so a proper mat would have been helpful to deal with this. A spare duvet/blanket would also have been nice. Getting to the centre from the hostel was also not easy - it required a car,, taxi or three buses!

The rooftop pool makes the hotel - the views are stunning and the loungers and seating area really comfortable for relaxing after sightseeing. The room had a kettle and tea and coffee, free water and a fridge. It was a good size room with plenty of power points. The hotel is nice just a little tired. Also liked having access to a gym. The location is great for getting essentials nearby and good Turkish food next door. The breakfast was okay with a good selection and freshly made omelettes to order. Rooms were cleaned daily.

We booked a sea view room - there is no sea view, which was fine for us but don’t get your hopes up if you book one. The jacuzzi was not in operation during our stay. After rooms are cleaned sometimes the towels are not replaced until late in the day (we were told 5pm even though we needed to shower earlier). Staff were polite but not overly chatty or interested in giving us tips or information about Muscat/tours available etc.

Everything for this hotel was very good. Starting from reception till housekeeping department. The location of the hotel is very excellent and easy approachable. Hyper market and lots of restaurants and fastfood are nearby. Our Rooms were cleaned and the AC worked perfect. Wifi was excellent. The swimming pool and gym were also good. All three shifts reception staff were very helpful. The housekeeping staff at night Mr. Nawab Sahib from LAKHNAO was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and full of varieties. Over all me and my children enjoyed our stay a lot. And we will wish to come and stay there again and again.

There is always a chance of improvement in everything to get better and better everyday.

The receptionist was wonderful, so chatty and full of information that really helped us, especially for getting around the city. The hotel is clean, comfortable, the staff were all very polite and we felt very relaxed during our stay. As a city, Muscat is very spread out, public transport is not very highly developed, but the hotel was in a reasonably good location in the more central commercial district, very close to some huge shopping centers and not far from the grand mosque. We enjoyed breakfast, and there was a pretty good selection of cereal, fruits, salads, vegetables, breads and cooked items. Overall, a very positive experience.

The staff are very attentive to the needs of their guests. A true hospitality. Special thanks to Thuraiya who who arranged the taxi and negotiated the price. I was short of Omani rials and without hesitation she extended her help. I was really touched. The F&B also are very accommodating especially Matheo. All the reception staff, Sulaiman, Savio Martino and the housekeeping staff. The room is very clean. As for the location it is surrounded by restaurants and just across the road is the bus stop. So I can say it the best location. The hotel has a nice pool, gym, spa and sauna/steamer. Kudos to all the staff 👏👍🙌👌😀.

I had the best water pressure in a while, which was hot enough. Gym is available. The bus stop from the airport is only a minute away. The breakfast is actually really good and generous. The room is insanely spacious, which gets cleaned up every day. A 2L bottle of water is offered every day. During the Ramadan, no restaurant or cafe is open during the day; however, there's a supermarket named Makkah Hypermarket in front of the hotel, which has very good and cheap Indian deli.

Nothing, value for money, this hotel deserves a better rating from a Japanese high standard point of view.
