Location is excellent and the views are second to none. Breakfast selection is good.

Wifi had to always reconnect. They don't refill coffee pods or bottle water, you only receive these items on your first night stay. So staying there for 2 weeks we had to buy are own coffee pods and bottle water, makes it inconvenient and felt like the hotel is cheap trying to save a couple of dollars. No beach chairs they are privately run and cost 5 euros per lounger.

Position of hotel is unbeatable. Food was always good. Hotel in excellent condition. Great drinks at the rainbow bar.

Some of the guests were very loud. Only two coffee pods all week. More variety in evening entertainment as the pianist was good but played 6 out of 7 nights.

I stayed there for about 4 weeks in December. Loved the room and the view with my little private balcony overlooking the beach and sea. Perfect. Staff were very helpful and very nice and accommodating for any requests, breakfast buffet had big variety and the hot food was well cooked with good ingredients.

The view from the room right in front of the beach. There is a balcony so you can feel as being outside and relax to the sound of the sea. You can hear the sea, specially at night you can fall asleep to it. (The balcony door isolates it greatly too). The breakfast was very good, a variety of fruit, broad, drinks and sweets. The staff was nice and friendly.

The sound proofing is not that good, walls seem very thin, so sometimes you hear other people talking or walking around (not too much bothrr though). The pool had to be booked and it was quite hidden down below so you couldn't enjoy great views from it.

Wonderful hotel with brilliant staff in a perfect location. Hotel was very clean with great service; everyone was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was good. Buffet dinner was good value for money as part of the half board option. Bag storage after checkout until our taxi arrived was very helpful. This was suggested without us even having to ask which was brilliant. The music in the evenings and cocktails at the bar were highlights for us - and are the main reason we keep visiting!

The vending machine on the ground floor didn't function correctly causing me to lose an entire €1.50!

We loved the location, no better place to stay in Albufeira. It is Walking distance to all amenities in the old town.The bedrooms are very clean and comfortable. It's also wonderful to sit outside in the balcony, listening to the waves. It was the best cure for insomnia somebody could have. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of options and the service was very efficient. No need to pack beach towels as they are available in the hotel without any charge. We couldn't find any fault as we really enjoyed our break as it was our first time in Albufeira. We definitely will be back in future and we definitely we will be staying in Hotel Sol e Mar as this hotel ticks all the boxes for us.

As you ask in what you could have been better is having a kettle in the bedroom. Small investment and it will enhance even more the magnificent property you have on the beach.

Location fab, right on the beach. Breakfast also great, had all options although notice about having an omelette cooked was v small so did not notice until day 4! (Chef in kitchen behind closed door) Great powerful shower

Just a few things I didn’t notice when booking: 1. Hotel has no outside pool, so you have to go to the beach if you want to sit out. You have to pay €20 per couple each day for sunbed umbrella. No concessions from hotel. 2. Lovely Nespresso machine in room but only give first day complimentary pods. Had to buy any further ones from reception. €1.20 each. Didn’t break the bank but felt 2 a day should have been included as after all hotel wasn’t cheap. 3. One of those useless hairdryer in the bathroom. Short cord, gave me cramp on thumb holding button down. Recommend you take your own.

The location of the hotel on the beach was sublime with its lovely views of the ocean and views of the rugged coastline from every part of the hotel. It is also located on the edge of Old Town and makes walking everywhere a breeze. The sound of the waves at night was a glorious way to drift off to sleep and awake in the morning. Breakfast at the hotel was plentiful and the buffet offered a wide variety of food to suit everyone. We had an early check-out and the hotel offered a well balanced takeaway bag for each member of our party at no cost. The hotel has a nice patio bar/restaurant that serves lovely cocktails. Staff at the hotel went over and above to make our stay pleasant. Bruno at breakfast was a wonderful server in the restaurant and Annalise was awesome taking care of an issue we had communicating with our limo service. We were five ladies celebrating the 70th birthdays for two of our party. This hotel more than met our expectations. I will be recommending it to my family and friends and would return again hands down.

As it is a public beach, the beachfront loungers are privately owned at cost 15 Euros per day. Although the hotel has a nice patio restaurant where you can sit in the shade, more seating could be offered to hotel guests not wanting to sit in the patio bar.

the location was fabulous and the staff were great. the rooms were very nice also. also the greeting from the staff and explanation about how things were was lovely.

Give how much I paid to stay, I was surprised that I only got one bottle of water, two t bags and two small milk for those two drinks and then would have to be charged so I went and bought milk and water from supermarket. I have been in far cheaper hotels and those have been replaced so would like to know why that is. Also it’s an adult only hotel however at least two breakfast there was the same family with two sons who were clearly not adults. They were no trouble but wondered what happened.

In all important areas our 21 day stay in the Sol e Mar was exceptional. All rooms overlook the huge stretch of golden sand lapped by the ocean. Our balcony received full sun most of the day. The room was comfortable and bathroom/shower just right. Buffet meals were very good. Fresh fruit, varied entrees and desserts. Friendly and efficient service. Large circular bar lounge with live music and an excellent dance floor.
