A beautiful, modern hotel in the perfect location in New Town Albufeira. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a short walk from the beach. It is close enough to the nightlife but just far enough away from the main strip to combine convenience with relaxation. The bedroom and common areas were all really clean and well maintained by the staff. Our room featured a generous sized balcony, a nice sized bathroom, a large wardrobe, a mini fridge and a safe. The air conditioning was good. Free Wifi was also available. There are fantastic views from the rooftop pool: a spectacular sea view and plenty of comfortable loungers and parasols to relax and sunbathe. We would definitely return and would recommend to friends/ family.

Brand new hotel. Lovely rooftop infinity pool. Staff all excellent especially Andre on reception who goes above and beyond to help with anything you need. Breakfast is continental buffet style and very nice although the drinks/milk could be cooler. Scrambled egg is available freshly made on request. Breakfast staff all very lovely and take good care of you - Fernanda is a very cheery person to see first thing in the morning. Young gentleman at the pool bar was also very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are beautiful and the beds are firm and very comfortable.

Air conditioning in the hotel is not the best. For a new hotel is doesn't seem to be fit for purpose. If the room is warm it takes HOURS and I mean HOURS for the temperature to reduce by 4 degrees. For the temperature to stay stable you need to keep your patio doors and the black out curtains closed all the time or the room will become unbearably hot. The mini bar does not keep the drinks very cool as it is in an enclosed cupboard which heats up tremendously preventing the mini bar from working to its full capacity. To help this we left the cupboard door open all the time and the drinks were then considerably colder as they should be.

First customers of the hotel. Exceptional service , staff , rooms were bright spacious and modern, Amazing rooftop pool, complimentary champagne was also a beautiful touch. Modest breakfast was very nice too. Parking outside and also garage is available.

Reception is 24hrs which is great if you have a late arrival flight. The staff were so accommodating and so welcoming. I had brought my partner away for his birthday and I never disclosed this - but when we came back from our day out on the Wednesday (we arrived Monday night) there was a bottle of bubbly chilling in an ice bucket with two glasses in the room. It was a really nice touch from the hotel. They do take your passport information when you arrive so it was really nice of the woman at reception to note the date and also wish Peter a Happy Birthday when we thanked them the following morning. The Buffet Breakfast is everything you need - you can request scrambled eggs and bacon and even fresh orange juice! It is continental style with a mix. Very nice coffee too! The Infinity Pool on the rooftop is fabulous with extraordinary views and there are plenty of sun loungers with a bar - so you can read your book with a cold beer. The bedrooms are perfect - large beds for extra comfort! Love the bathroom feature of the frosted glass between the shower and toilet! Absolutely enjoyed my time here - relaxing holiday! Perfect for Couples!!!! I would recommend getting an Uber into Old town in the evening - far more variety of restaurants and if you’re not into the madness of the strip - €4-6 in an Uber and €10 for a tuk tuk. But the location of the Vila Maria hotel is fabulous! We will definitely be returning 🥰 Thank you so much

On the first night when we arrived quite late, we were wrecked from a wedding all weekend, the people staying next door to us arrived back at the hotel at half 3 in the morning and decided to play some loud music - and on the balcony but a little bit of White Noise on Spotify can just about drown anything out. Where the hotel is located, there are a lot of bars with loud music (Karaoke even 😂) I recommend White Noise for anyone who is a light sleeper.

This hotel was fantastic. From the location to the staff and facilities. it’s a fairly small boutique hotel but we see that as a real positive. you see the same staff day after day and they are all very friendly and accommodating. Carolina was super ! communicated very well and would highly recommend you stay here.

All the staff were excellent and could not do enough for us. We needed boarding passes printed and the girl done it with a smile. We would definitely stay here again, location is very central. Hotel is gorgeous, if the WiFi could be improved and maybe some light bites would be available. I’d never leave!

WiFi- sorry to complain but the connection / hotspot kept dropping constantly. Needed it for work - one day and it was unstable. The service was a little slow on the roof bar, sometimes you could be waiting there 10 mins but it was amazing up there. We wish there was some snacks, food in the hotel, but they only had a limited drinks menu and no food except breakfast. There was an incident with a guest removing clothes in the lobby, the person behind the reception asked me if it was my boyfriend which shocked me. Turns out it wasn’t, thankfully but a person from outside the hotel, but maybe this should be checked on cameras before asking the spouse, when it was nothing to do with us at all.

Every aspect of the property was stunning! Clean, modern and the staff were just wonderful.

from the minute I arrived at the hotel I felt like I was at home.

I honestly have nothing bad to say at all they for field or my needs.

Staff were all very friendly and were always present. Staff were able to provide great knowledge of restaurants and trips. Rooms were so sleek, clean and modern. Shower was good quality and fresh towels daily. I was a little worried after reading some reviews which state noise was heard. We were in room 206 and no noise was heard throughout night time. Breakfast was minimalistic however had everything you needed which we preferred as it wasn’t like there was lots which can be wasted. Our room was very close to breakfast area, however again no noise was heard. Location was ideal, short walk around 5 mins to old town and strip. Whilst old town was around 20 min walk which sounds long but really isn’t. Taxi from old town to hotel at night was €5 which was really reasonable. Pools views are beautiful. We loved the sun loungers which were more like beds and so comfortable. The sleek modern look continued at pool area. Hotel is small and appears to be around 26 rooms which again was nice. We could not fault hotel and would go back in a minute.
