It’s really wellness and longevity hotel! You can feel(and smell) spa atmosphere just when you enter a hotel. Exceptional breakfast, great coffee, a lot of variety of fruits.

We arrived at 3 p.m., our room was not ready yet, staff said it will take about 10min. We came straight from Lisbon, so we really wanted to leave our bags and take a shower. However, after 15min same man said that we had to wait for a little longer, they will call us as soon as room is ready. We drove to the beach, spend 2 hours there and got a call around 5:30p.m, that our room is finally ready. Another strange situation was with room cleaning, because in 4 days we stayed, the ladies came at different times. Once when we were at breakfast, the other day around 6/7p.m. And they were not changing towels every day, not cleaning a balcony.

If you're after a beach holiday in Southern Portugal, this is not the best option for you

We booked this hotel only to have access to the spa as the weather wasn’t going to be great. But when we got to the hotel we got told that the spa was full for the day, as you have to book it. Btw this is not mentioned anywhere during the hotel booking process.

Ambience - from the moment you entered hotel there was a calm and tranquil fee which continued throughout the corridors and into your room with soothing music and the gentle aroma of essential oils. Staff - without exception the staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful, nothing was too difficult for them making you feel right at home. Room - the room was perfect with everything advertised present to a very high standard. Breakfast - difficult to pick one thing that was much better than the rest because everything so good but the breakfast was sensational with such a wide variety of foods and combinations available. We will never forget the Longevity breakfast! Spa - a wonderful area in the hotel cleverly designed to contain a large deconstructed jacuzzi pool with five different areas, a salt water pool, a sauna, a steam room, a Himalayan salt room, a relaxation room, and a variety of different showers, and a number of loungers inside and out. Well being activities - we had no idea that included in price were numerous daily activities which you could opt into if you wished. We dipped our toes into crystal therapy, Pilates, yoga, energetic healing, astrology and numerology. All totally added to our experience.

We loved absolutely everything about this place!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was fantastic 10/10. It's a ten minute walk from Alvor town so good location. Lovely infinity pool on the roof along with sun loungers and outdoor seating for breakfast etc. Seems to be a centre for yoga and well being coaches but this is mixed with ordinary residents such as ourselves. The spa facilities which are inclusive are great; sauna, Turkish style steam room and therapy pools. If you want a relaxing spot in Alvor, this place is hard to beat.

As this is a well being centre there is no evening entertainment at this hotel and the bar closes early but you can always party in the town which is only a ten minute walk away with plenty of choice

Miguel was very helpful & welcoming. All the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a relaxing and pleasant stay. We would love to come back again soon. The spa facilities are wonderful & the staff were also very helpful. Breakfast has mostly healthy options- fruit, smoothie bowls, toast etc (not your usual continental)but I didn’t mind this. The cleanliness & spec of the hotel was great, very pretty. There was a calm, zen vibe throughout the establishment. The balcony has nice privacy glass, so it was easy to utilise this as much as you want.

Sometimes the room service could have been quicker/ more consistent. E.g. had to request towels or cutlery because it wasn’t consistently replaced. We did come during a busy very period & it wasn’t a huge deal breaker just something that could be improved.

The place has very modern design, really Zen. I choose this hotel especially for the spa. I was happy with the facilities even some equipments were out of order. The sauna is very hot and dry, not really Scandinavian without water. The Hammam is good. It has a cold shower next to the bench which is very convenient. The jacuzzis are comfortable, one hot and the other cooler. You can swim a few strokes. I liked the outdoor swimming pool on the rooftop. Most people will find it cold but it’s not really cold. I could stay in for long time. My reason was cold water swimming for the health. The breakfast is absolutely amazing and all the stuff members are pleasant and friendly.

The bathroom has a special design. It is a transparent square in the corner of the room. Of course daylight is lovely to have in the bathroom. I was on my own, so it didn’t matter, but having someone else taking a shower next to your bedside… I saw at the end, there is a blind to pull down on the outside of the glass panel.

Superb breakfast and the staff throughout the hotel were excellant

We had a meal in the restaurant one evening. I ordered a fish soup which was tastless. I followed this up with a steak, which was very fatty and not seasoned before it was cooked. My wife had the mushroom rissotto which was again was tastless and again with no flavour. I am not sure that because the hotel is a wellness resort that it doen't use flavours or the chef isn't allowed too but this was really disappointing. It didn't spoil the experience we had in the hotel as i would definitely come back again, but there are short comings in the kitchen.

I absolutely loved my stay here, such a tranquil spot, staff were all great. Breakfast was amazing ( no idea why any reviews say anything else) the spa facilities were brilliant. And I loved the additional option of classes, I went to pilates, astrology and even circuit training , instructors were all genuine, professional people who worked to get the best out of the classes various abilities. I would come back in a heart beat . Though suggest walking into town for lunch and dinner, menu for this is overpriced and incredibly small portions - perhaps designed for those on very low calorie diet.

It was such a lovely experience to stay in Longevity. There were lovely touches around the hotel - free locally produced fruit and cookies in reception; extra towels given to go to the beach or spa; beautiful essential oils burning in open areas and bedroom gave an instant feeling of calm and serenity. We felt we relaxed into our holiday from the moment we arrived in the hotel. There was a variety of classes every morning and afternoon which were included in the stay - the instructors and the classes were excellent - very professional and great fun. The quality and variety of the breakfast was amazing. The spa area was a wonderful retreat and the gym equipment was top quality and spotless. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We had a very early flight on our last day and they offered us a boxed breakfast to take with us as we would miss the regular breakfast. We both said we would love to return again.
