Our two rooms were interconnecting which was convenient. Being a pet friendly hotel, our dog was welcome. The breakfast buffet was very good, and included gluten free bread and biscuits. Although the underground car park was too low for our car with roof box, we were easily able to park on the street nearby. Service was friendly and helpful, and I can recommend this hotel for a stay in Coimbra.

The river view from our room was through a small window with a blind, so not so much of a view. The room was on the small side with very little seating space. However, it was clean and comfortable with air conditioning. There are no gardens or parks nearby, and the hotel is a good walk from the heart of Coimbra.

It was a pleasure to see the renovation of this legendary hotel in Coimbra! Rooms very well renovated, very good breakfast! It was about time someone picked up this historic hotel and give it a new life! Congratulations!! Front desk staff very nice and welcoming

Breakfast and Restaurant staff were just not friendly... You can't say they were rude, but anything you asked was handled as if it was a huge favour. The only thing that is totally not worth it is the restaurant. Completely overpriced, average-weak food. On a city where pretty much every where you go, you have wonderful food, it's total waste of time and money to have dinner at the hotel.

Exceptional breakfast!! Very nice design rooms, silent, relatively good location. Great bed. Nice reception area, nice staff in general. I could sleep very well and the shower was also very good.

Worker at the bar was rude to me, saying he was alone and could not serve me. It was not my fault and he should have asked his manager/ colleagues for help. I am a frequent guest and I can say the rooms are nice, but not well cleaned. There is always dirt behind the door, hair on the walls (yes, on the walls) and dust everywhere. Also, very low quality toilet paper.

Hotel very nice and clean. The hall is very big and well furnished. Spacious room. The bathroom is fully and elegantly renovated. The furniture of the room is a bit dated and should be renovated. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Good location: 15 minutes from the city center by walk. Parking in the street is not expensive and the location is absolutely safe. We did not try the restaurant and the swimming pool. Very helpful staff . Good value for money.

In my room furniture was a bit old and there was the moquette that I don’t appreciate. In the evening the interior of the hotel were poorly illuminated.

Loved the value for money! It has everything and the people are so friendly and welcoming! It has its own private spa, you have to book but when you do you will be alone in the sauna / jacuzzi :) It also has a small gym and outside pool (not working now as it's still winter season) The hotel website has a list of all the things you can request online at a click of a button like toothpaste or extra towels, super easy. It has its own parking, which in Coimbra is essential. Coffee machine in the room was great and the bed was fenomenal.

The bedroom floor was a bit dirty

The lady at the reception Thursday and Friday was wonderful. She explained the mais the City high lights and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is situated 15.min walk from city center. The pool is great.

At night we had a waterproblem with the airco. After consulting staff, we switched it off and opened the window. However the room was warm and stuffy all night. The coffee at breakfast is not so good.

Well located hotel with a beautiful view of the river. Staff, very attentive, and throughout the hotel there were small details to please the customer. The room, was large and comfortable, with a practical and well equipped bathroom, with all the necessary products. Excessive breakfast, with all the variety of products, for all tastes.

I had the best latte.

We had our dinner in the restaurant. I think thy forgot our order soup and salad tha we waited for 45 minutes. When I got my soup, the vegetables was clumped. We did not complain; we didn’t want the waiter to get fired. The next day at the breakfast, he ignored us; he didn’t respond to us when we greeted him good morning.

Great value for the quality, amenities, and room size. We paid a bit over 100 Euro/night in mid-summer. Room and bathroom was very large and sofa bed for our son was large and comfy. Pool was fantastic! And breakfast was included and very good too.

It was a bit further from the old town center than I would like (~15-20 min) and a heavily trafficked walk along a big road into town, but that was the tradeoff to get all the benefits of big rooms, modern amenities and the pool.

The room was exceptional with a beautiful river view, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast had plenty of options to choose from, and the hotel is just a 15-minute walk from the city center and railway station.
