Location next to the ultra popular Pasteis de Belem and Mosteiro Jeronimos; staying closeby means you could get to these places early in the morning to avoid the absolutely enormous queues. Very helpful host (although he seems to be the only person running the whole place, apart from the cleaner, so you may need to wait at busy times). Reception is open during normal office hours to check you in, which avoids the need to submit your full passport details to some unheard-of third party website in advance.

From Belem, it takes up to an hour by public transport to reach downtown and the old town where most of the other major sights are. In my room, the bathroom door handle looked to be falling apart (I dared not touch it to confirm!), which seems a bit sloppy and certainly very unsightly. Tea-making facilities (eg kettle and teabags) are available only on request at the reception. Using the keypad at the main entrance on street level requires some practice; if you press a button too hard, the keypad would assume you have pressed that same number more than once - it beeps several times - in which case the access code would not work, so a relatively light touch is required and try to listen carefully to the beeps in the midst of the loud street noises.

Excellent location, close to bus and tram stops in the center of Belem. Very close to main attractions of Belem. Pedro is very helpful and happy to help with any issue, obrigado. Room is a good size with a big wardrobe, working air con (with heating option). Walk-in shower, comfortable for tall people.

Bathroom has frosted glass door without a proper frame to keep noises and moisture inside the bathroom. Also the bathroom does not have opening windows and the fan is not working properly. Room does not have a kettle to prepare evening coffee or tea.

Excellent location, great value( which made us choose the Famous Crows).Room was lovely...plug in the sink, warm duvets, clean bathroom...but if you are the sort of person that minds a cracked floor tile then this is not for you. We loved it and the room had all we wanted.

Not knowing best place to park before we arrived. Plenty of car parks around but was hard to find out if free, how much and whether we could park all night. But now we know - the best parking is on some residential streets ( free) , up behind the hotel, at the most a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The location is the best especially if you are a food lover - right beside the hotel entrance there is the best bakery known for its “Pasteis de Belem” - an absolute pleasure to eat with a hot chocolate cup or coffee. Also the hotel is very near to some of the city’s most popular monuments - Monasteiro de Jeronimos, Torre de Belem etc. In order to arrive at the hotel from the airport it took 40-50 mins, our flight was delayed and we got to the hotel later, even though the reception closes at that hour the receptionist was very kind and friendly and waited for us and showed us everything we needed to know. The stay was an absolute pleasure.

perfect location to discover Belem, 20m from the pasteis shop, the Geronimos and many restaurants, tram stop just outside as well. it’s safe and we had the studio which was very spacious and comfortable! great price will definitely stay there again!

Excellent location for visiting Torre de Belém, Jéronimos Monetary, and other sites in the area. Easy self check-in. Had to get through several locked doors before getting to our room which made it feel very safe/secure as there isn't always someone at the reception.

Our room was at the very top floor (4) and there is no elevator. Luckily we had packed lightly and it wasn't too difficult to carry out bags, however this would be a large barrier for anyone with reduced mobility.

Great location, really comfy, very friendly and helpful staff! I felt very welcome in the property.

Early check in posed a bit of a problem. We were informed that we would be able to drop off our bags from 10:00. We tried ringing the buzzer to get in but had no answer. Fortunately we managed to get into the property due to another couple returning and letting us in. From then we did manage to find a member of staff who was happy to unlock the reception door and let us leave our bags. Luckily this worked out for us but I feel like the communication could have been a bit better to organise this.

The location of the hotel was excellent. In the heart of Lisbon. Walking distance to all major attractions. Train & taxi accessible. The hotel was clean, room large & beds comfortable. The Manager was friendly and went above & beyond, to show us Free parking & restaurants of excellent value & good food. The Manager responded promptly with answering our questions. Safe, with security at all points of entry codes. Would definitely stay in the Famous Crows hotel again!

The only comment is that the room located facing the street was noisy during the night....if you are a sound sleeper, then this room is great for you!

Location is perfect. Place is clean and comfortable.

We had a hiccup with the check in, but it was late at night and when we got in touch with the staff then all went fine. Our only advice would be for the hotel to send the information for check in a day or two beforehand as we were traveling and did not have wifi to receive the info (code for the door) on the day and I think this is the problem for most travelers.

Sincerely the host of Famous Crowd deserve a 10+ !!!! Pedro is one of the most affable person I have ever met in my life!!! I would have given this a 9 because of 3 things: there is no refrigerator in the room nor a kettle to make warm drinks. And the room we were staying on the forth floor gets pretty warm because in contact with the exterior roof. Bu hey we catched a 31 degrees in April !!!!
