The level of quality of the food and coffee at breakfast was disappointing for a 5 star hotel.

I had a "bumpy" arrival with the limousine transfer booked by the hotel. Unfortunately, the driver had to wait for my delayed plane for over two hours. He was rude and grumpy, BUT when I entered the hotel, the wonderful Paula Nogueira in the Concierge department immediately took care of this. This lady is just so amazing I felt so taken care of, from organising my private tennis lessons on a clay court to making sure my bed was comfortable. To be honest, in all my years of travelling, the only other time I have had service this exemplary from the concierge department was at the Halekulani Hotel in Honolulu. I have travelled many times to Lisbon and stayed at many luxury hotels there, but this hugely beautiful grand palace of a Hotel with the friendly and efficient Paula to greet you at the door is my only choice from now on. No wonder Madonna stayed here while renovating, it's superb.

A beautiful palace with small but comfy rooms which were very clean. Coffee machine (nespresso) and complimentary water in the room was a big plus. Breakfast was amazing, maybe the best I’ve seen in Europe. It’s in walking distance to the beach, LX Factory and Timeout (if you don’t mind walking for 20 to 40 min), otherwise you don’t pay more than 10 euros to get to another central place by uber.

There was no wifi in the pool area and there were too many litttle kids, even babies swimming in the pool with diapers. They should have an age limit or they have to build another pool for the babies.

The combination of the tranquil ambiance and the scenic beauty of the surroundings made for a perfect spot to relax and unwind. In every aspect, from the sumptuous breakfast to the lavish room and the enchanting pool, Pestana Palace Hotel offered an exceptional and unforgettable experience that exceeded all expectations.

The building and garden are beautiful as it was a palace. While the facility seems a bit outdated, it keeps the nice atmosphere and feels like going back in time so it doesn't bother us at all. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

It is good they keep the palace kind of as is so we can see how it was. However, the room facility is a bit outdated. For example, the hairdryer is an old one fixed on the wall which I have not seen for a long time. The breakfast buffet was just ok with good variety to choose from but quality and taste do not live up to the standard. Location wise, there wasn't much around it.

Having a chance to stay inside a palace is amazing. Appreciate that it is but old. Design of the room needs a bit more upgrade. room size, swimming pool both are good. Good if the hotel can tell us more about the history of the palace .

Unfortunately. Our Housekeeper did not refill tissue , water, and clean coffee cups . The hotel put all guests in one room for breakfast instead of two, and one end of that room is way too warm. Prepare to arrange your own transportation like at or Uber. we saw the hotel cutting quite a few grown trees during our day.

The Pestana Palace is a unique destination because it is also ultimately a museum of sorts. There are plenty of shared spaces to explore, plenty of rooms to see, an old chapel, a beautiful garden full of exotic (and yummy) plants, and even an old elevator (good luck finding it). All those things contributed to the fact that we felt like we weren't only staying in our hotel room, but rather, staying in the entire hotel. The staff were incredible, special shout out to Pedro who showed us around with great patience. The facilities were world class, with a great gym, an indoor pool, a beautiful outdoor pool and an incredible garden. This has been our best hotel stay to date, and if ever there was a 6-star hotel experience, that would be it.

I'm trying to think of something bad to say, but every little detail was thought out for the ultimate comfort of the guests. I'll illustrate my point with an example: the toilet seats are made out of wood to ensure your buttocks don't get cold when going for that first morning pee.

This hotel exceeded its 5 star rating. I have stayed in various 5 star locations and hotel groups but this beat them all. The attention to detail and kindness of the housekeeping staff was 10/10. Not to mention Diogo the restaurant manager and his staff making our breakfasts special every morning. Maria and Luis at reception made our stay extra comfortable. We tipped the team but even that wasn’t enough of a thank you for their amazing service.

Breakfast amazing staff so professional and excellent service delivery The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained. The whole team were so attentive and delivered a five star service shout out to reception team and valet’s.

Really need to sort out the steam & sauna it’s a pity that these are not maintained because if they were you would have a pretty faultless product. Not a huge disappointment but hey if your advertising that you have them make sure they function!
