The treatment is magnificent, from arrival to departure. The hotel is small which means they can pay attention to everything. Room was clean and spacious. Free shuttle from the airport is very convenient. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant were excellent with the most gorgeous views. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The staff are exceptional and couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. The restaurant was fist class. The larger of the two sea pools is stunning

Without a hire care it is difficult to get anywhere. That said we didn’t want to go anywhere and to just relax.

The first thing that struck me about the Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club was its breathtaking location. Perched on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the views from the hotel are nothing short of spectacular. Whether I was sipping my morning coffee on the terrace, lounging by the pool, or enjoying a meal at one of the on-site restaurants, I was constantly in awe of the stunning vistas that surrounded me. My stay at the Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club in Madeira was an extraordinary experience. The combination of the stunning location, luxurious accommodations, outstanding dining, and exceptional staff made it a trip to remember. If you're looking for a place to unwind, rejuvenate, and soak in the beauty of Madeira, I can wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a hotel. I can't wait to return to the Albatroz and create more wonderful memories in this paradise by the sea.

The location of the place, it is very secluded, loved it! The big pool and swimming in the ocean, it is worth every penny spent on it. I was swimming in the big pool (it is really big), tanning most of the time and watching the ocean. It was dreamy and very relaxant. There is only one restaurant on the property, but it is perfect! I loved the sea food&fruits and the service, too. The hotel staff was exceptional from the gardners, cleaners, receptionists, and waiters/waitress to the manager. I haven't seen this kind of attention to detail in the other 5 star hotels. It was easy to contact them via texts and phone, too, before I arrived. They replied promptly every time. Frankly, I was not expecting it at all. Most big 5 star hotels get lost with attracting a lot of people, way too commercial. Here, the hotel staff works like a team. They are very helpful, polite, and respectful. If you don't like something, they are open to listening to you and improving their service. In this hotel, you can have some really luxurious experience. This place has its charm. It is very special. I can only recommend this place if you look for a calm, luxurious place to rest and enjoy the ocean. I highly recommend the spa, having a massage, and a tennis instructor if you like to play tennis;-) (My photos below are from outside;-)

The hotel is in a quiet location, not too many guests made the stay very comfortable. The sea swimming pool is great, and also access to sea swim as well. Rooms are big albeit decor is somewhat dated. Breakfast and dinner in front of the sea is unique. Everything is very good.

Due to the location nearing the airport, it smells gasoline quite often, which is a bit worrying. Access to public transportation is difficult, hence renting a car is a good way to go about. Room decor is quite dated.

distance from Funchal ( 18km)with no shuttle bus other than to the airport which is 2 minutes away( and therefore planes overhead all day) . dinner menu uninspired and food pretty ordinary. got very boring after a couple of nights- and quite expensive. bathrooms in rooms spacious but need upgrading.( showers over baths. very narrow)

Close to the airport for our early flight. Beautiful grounds and views from our large balcony. The bedding was delightful--- crisp, soft sheets and even a feather pillow in the bunch. All the staff was friendly, polite and helpful. We had a delicious al fresco dinner. The scabbard fish Madeira style was wonderful.

We had an early flight so we weren't able to enjoy what likely would have been a delicious breakfast. They had "to go" meals for us to take to the airport, which we appreciated.

My stay was absolutely incredible, but what truly stood out was their breakfast. Each morning, I was greeted with a feast for the senses. The breakfast spread was not only delicious but also exquisitely presented, featuring a diverse array of fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes. The oceanfront dining experience made it even more unforgettable, allowing me to savor my meal while taking in the breathtaking views. It was the perfect way to start each day of my stay.

This is a small idyllic hotel which provides a wonderful experience and ambiance Situated beside the Atlantic Ocean and enjoying enviable views Car or taxis are necessary The rooms are larger than normal and exceptionally well maintained and clean. Each has a balcony overlooking the sea and you are not overlooked The team are professional friendly and try to accommodate the quest's requirements The food is of a high quality and not at dinner time if a buffet style which is a major benefit The consideration of quests needs and wants is first class

We already knew the hotel is close to the airport but it is not intrusive and is not regarded as a disadvantage

Huge, very well equipped and clean room with very comfy bed, balcony and breathtaking ocean view, super helpful and kind staff, who arranged amazing birthday cake, wine and bouquet and provided airport transfers for free and at flexible times, amazing breakfasts with great selection, delicious fruits and very kind and helpful waiters. The property is in an extremely lush environment, with beautiful vegetation, on top of cliffs, where you can admire the ocean waves and sunrises from. Great massage in the onsite spa and plenty of activities around, like golf or horse riding. We'll be back for sure.
