Very nice hotel, quiet and in a beautiful location. Great facilities (Gym/swimming pool) and fabulous breakfast with plenty of choice (including for vegetarians).

Nothing. I liked it all.

- the breakfast was really, really good. I didn‘t expect it to be so good. Yes it is a buffet, but really everything you would want in a good quality, and also clean. Really to enjoy. - breakfast was possible on the terasse, which was beautiful. - nice location, very near to the sea. Also, Canico is a good place to be, if you don‘t need or want Funchal. To Funchal it‘s 10-15 min. by car. - convenient pool and also access to the sea unteneath the hotel - clean - the room was probably a bit bigger than average - very nice staff, everybody is kind - all in all, a good decision and I would recommend to everybody, if you don‘t want to stay in Funchal

- the Parking situation is really not good to be honest. There are blue zones around the hotel, but you need go pay. It‘s not about paying, but you can‘t find any. Sometimes we had to park a bit far away. I would expect such a large hotel to provide some kind of parking. On Madeira, the most visitors are getting a car to get around the island. Be careful in the blue zones! Already after half an hour, you could receive a ticket if you don‘t pay!

The room was very nice. The breakfast offered a wide range of different things. The location of the hotel is very good. We would book the hotel again.

That we had to pay for a bathrobe. That you would have to pay if you would like to get your pool towel changed (we didn't use the pool). And that you need to make a reservation if you want to use the indoor pool. A little bit strange, but that didn't change our in general good opinion of the Sentido Galosol.

I love the location and closeness to the seaside. Very quiet, but at the same time very lively area with the tourist around in the same area. The rooms and hotel has been recently refurbished so it everything was also nice and modern.

Breakfast could be better, the selection of food was wide and the environment is nice. But the quality was a bit lacking and at times you can see there is a lack of staff, and this is not even the high season. The bathroom also might not have been the best design, too easily the water gets splashed everywhere.

Beautiful hotel in Canico village, attentive staff, very rich and delicious buffet breakfast, the sister hotel Galomar has great outdoor 'natural' pool area for swimming. My room was huge and very comfortable. The yoga room is fantastic and the sunrise and sunset views from the hotel are very nice.

I wish there was a water fountain for drinking water in the hotel. The room would also benefit from slippers, robe and some basic toiletries. The food that we pre-ordered for lunch as a group was below expectations - the bowls were very expensive, barely had any ingredients and didn't taste good.

Everything was perfect! The staff has high standards of customer centricity, everyone is helpful, nice and doing their utmost to meet the customers expectations. All of our questions and requests were answered and handled immediately with a smile on their face, thank you for that! Thr breakfast is amazing, big variety on the bufet and diversity from day to day. Location is quiet with rooms with sea view, amazing view. Indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, indoor squash field, gym, outdoor pool. We definetely recommend it and for sure we will come back!

The parking can be difficult during full-season time, we didn't had any issues though, could find a parking place nearby every day.

Upgraded room was outstanding, facilities first class and great buffet

Amazing staff: We were traveling with a baby and a toddler and we were given an upgrade to a suite, this was fantastic, since we had much more room. The breakfast is great, we also had dinner (we food is delicious) and ate some snacks by the pool for lunch (there was no soup in the menu, but they kindly served our toddler the soup they were cooking for dinner). We were able to park in front of the hotel.

The indoor pool is inside the gym, so it’s not very practical to go there (also the water could be a little warmer)

There have a nice gym, big and beautiful pools. Indoors and outdoors. Rooms are modern and spacious. Breakfast was also very good and all staff was very friendly. You can use saunas, jacuzzies, indoors basketball court, squash court and a lot more.

We had problem with ants, a lot of ants in our room. Location is not the best to explore the island, you definitely need rental to do it, but there is only payable parking and it is also not 100% that you will get it

like a 5 star hotel, with bathrobes etc. the brandnew renovated rooms on the lowest floor were large and decorated with style.

my only suggestions would be to 1) provide complimentary water and 2) provide a flat stick so the ground floor windows can be left open a crack without any safety concern.
