Helpful and friendly staff. Apartment was large and very clean. Advertised amenities were mostly present. Very good location. Breakfast was delivered every morning and was very good. We enjoyed our stay very much.

One suggestion would be to include some type of wardrobe or shelving unit so suitcases could be unpacked. That may not be necessary for a short stay but certainly would be for a longer one. There was plenty of space in the room where a storage unit could have been placed. Also, from the room description, we believed we would have a balcony, but instead there was a small patio that was too small to sit on. Perhaps, the room description could be a bit clearer in reference to that aspect. Still we enjoyed a beautiful view of Porto by opening the patio doors and placing our chairs in front of them.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff, reception area and views from the room, with the Pool area being the best of the lot. Lovely to come back to on a hot afternoon for some relaxation after a day exploring the city. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Rooms are big, clean, safe and quiet. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay here again. Close to some really nice restaurants, and very close to other parts of the city.

The sofa bed. The only thing stopping us giving this a 10 rating was the sofa bed (for my 13 year-old daughter). This really needs replacing in the room we stayed in. It was impossible to sleep on. Noisy/creaky whenever you moved, and the springs/poles sticking through the mattress. She couldn't sleep which meant I had to on the last night, resulting in little sleep for myself. A Shame because the rest of the hotel is gorgeous, and it would have been a 10 if there was only 2 of us and not needing the sofa bed.

Great location near just about everything. Surprisingly quiet and great views of the city from our balcony. Shower has nice water pressure. Keyless entry is a bonus. Staff were very friendly and responsive.

The WiFi was fairly unusable, and certainly not suitable for a virtual meeting. I could barely check my email. The room itself was comfortable but is in need of a few repairs to the floorboards. Stay here if you’re looking for a comfortable budget option walkable to everything, but stay elsewhere if you need internet connectivity.

The apartment was spotless. We were met at the entrance to the apartments and he helped us take our luggage to the room. We then went to reception to check in and he gave us all the info and a map of the city. He then told us where to park the car for the whole of our stay. Which was safe and secure and at a discount as it was through the accommodation. The apartment was clean and spacious. It was touch coded pad which is ideal-no need to carry a key around. The pool and surrounding area was lovely to relax in. We didn't eat here. We had no faults and would highly recommend.

The apartment was well located in the centre of Porto, cleaned every day which we didn’t expect and had all the facilities for a 5 day stay. The outside terrace was very spacious and nice

Unfortunately we did have a cockroach in the bathroom maybe because we were the garden apartment. We were also awakened in the middle of the night by a leak of hot water pouring down from an apartment two floors up. It was after staff had left and unfortunately there was no one to deal with it. The property would benefit by an emergency number should anything similar occur in the future but all in all a lovely apartment and very good value

Good size 1 bedroom apartment. Newly renovated. It's part of the hotel or an annex of the hotel opposite of the apartment building. Daily housekeeping available. Access to all facilities of the hotel. Comfy double bed. Good walk-in shower. Open kitchen has all amenities for self-catering. Digital code locks for entry, but reception will explain and guide you at first arrival. Fast WiFi (300+/300+Mbps). Plenty of daylight coming in from windows. But wooden window blinds/panels can sufficiently darken the rooms. Pretty quiet street with occasional traffic, despite being in city centre. Very close to a major view point. Walking distance to all major sights, though it can be hilly on the narrow old town streets sometimes.

Apartment gets very cold in this time of the year, if airconditioning is not switched on continuously, when present. No heating in the bathroom and cold floor tiles. Because of the creaking wooden floors, you can hear guests upstairs walking sometimes. But not too bothersome and adds to the local atmosphere. There's construction going on next door, but noise is limited and only in the afternoon. Apartment not suited for people not able to walk stairs. Elevator only on 1st floor. Late check-out only till noon latest. Housekeeping rang doorbell at 12.01pm.

Nick met us at the door, brought us to reception and gave us the codes for the property. He asked us if we were interested in some recommendations and over a glass of port, he gave us so much information about the property and the area and gave us some fantastic recommendations, including a recommendation to dine at the restaurant there - Barrica - we had the blind tasting menu and it was absolutely divine!!! The location of the property is fantastic and we had the most amazing view from our balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable. The weather in Porto was unfortunately horrendous but when we come back, and we will!, we will stay at Pipa D'Oro and will recommend it to anyone who asks! The little bottle of port in our room was a lovely touch :)

My only complaint would be the sofa bed - it was absolutely horrendous and not fit for purpose - not a big deal for us as a couple, we lay on it to watch a movie, but it would definitely be an issue if the sofa bed was being used as your bed for the night!

Super helpful and friendly staff, great location, clean and comfortable rooms.

The pool hours are only till 7, so after a day of sightseeing and dinner we missed it which was a bummer and I didn’t know beforehand that that would be the case. The water in the shower stayed hot for only one person to shower, and there were 3 of us. The upstairs shower was so narrow (maybe 2.5 or 3 square feet) that for even a slender female it was hard to move around without banging my elbows into the glass walls, but the downstairs bathroom had plenty of space. Stairs to second floor in the loft are quite steep and narrow but it wasn’t an issue for me but could be for someone older or overweight.

The property was on a quiet street very close to the areas we planned to visit. The room was spacious and had beautiful views of the city. The reception was so helpful and gave wonderful recommendations for food and sites to see. There was a nice little bar/restaurant on the ground floor as well which was a helpful option on one of the nights we were too tired to walk around. They had provided a nice bottle of wine for our stay as well which was such a nice touch.

The bed was a little too firm for me, but still comfortable (I just personally prefer a softer/more plush bed). We had a moment of confusion as to how to get into the building when we first arrived, but we called reception and they answered the phone right away. They came right out to let us into the building so it was very helpful.

The view! The view! The view! This property is so clean and well-maintained. It kind of tricks you because it looks old from the outside, but extremely modern on the inside. It is near plenty of attractions. The staff is incredibly kind and responsive. And can we talk about breakfast?! It is delivered every morning in a basket by the front door with enough food to feed 10 people! It was delicious and a great way to start our day! We also enjoyed drinks down the in basement. I would highly recommend this hotel!

I loved pretty much everything. I guess the one tiny issue I had was the size of the elevator, but there’s not much you can do about that. Be prepared to take a couple of trips if you have a lot of luggage. But this is not a deal breaker at all! Just something to be aware of.
