Our room was at the back of the hotel on the top floor and was beautifully decorated. The hotel was quiet and relaxing which is always appreciated in a city. The outdoor space was pretty and secluded. We had lunch and drinks on arrival and these were very nice and reasonably priced. The location within Porto is great - it’s a nice walk into the historic centre and there are plenty of nice places for breakfast nearby if you don’t have it at the hotel like us.

The electronic door locks kept breaking and locking us out of the room. As we were staying on the top floor (up 3 flights of steep stairs) and there was no way to ask for help otherwise, we had to keep going downstairs to ask in person at the front desk. It would be simpler to use a keycard or even a normal key. The hotel is also on a narrow one way street so taxis can struggle to stop (just a note for future travellers!).

Rosa Et Al is a unique accommodation with alot of care and attention made to creating a warm, restful atmosphere. Carefully curated decorative, menu and garden details created a unique and inviting space. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming and happily provided us with answers to our many questions. Also the food and beverage was wonderful!

The only thing I would let other people know is that while our apartment did have a bathroom, it was not separate (private) from the rest of the room although there was a large shelving unit serving as a privacy screen. That could be an issue for some. As well, although it wasn't a problem for us, we were upstairs (8 flights) with heavy luggage (staff helped us carry it up but we managed ourselves going down), it could be an issue for someone with mobility issues as there is no elevator. Otherwise it was absolutely lovely.

The team at Rosa et Al are exceptionally warm and friendly and so helpful. Our room (delux suite with garden view) was stylish and very comfortable. I loved the decor and mid-century pieces. Our balcony was a suntrap in the evening, and the beautiful garden was a pleasure to sit in during breakfast, or whilst having a cocktail in the late afternoon. The breakfast is outstanding, and the guys take great pride in their coffee. We opted for a couples' massage on arrival. Thelma and Paul were incredible, they came to our room and worked out all the knots as we had spent a week hiking in Maderia, setting us up for our weekend in Porto. I highly recommend Rosa et Al and will stay here on my next trip to the city.

Nothing, it is perfect.

Beautiful old building, very tastefully decorated, very spacious bedroom. Nice balcony & outdoor garden space. Huge comfortable bed & beautiful bathroom. Unique with lovely food shop at front of building & breakfast space to the rear. Would love to return again

The only very minor dislike was very squeaky floorboards! But you can’t expect anything different in such an old unique building & it didn’t spoil our stay.

Had a truly great experience staying in this lovely townhouse. Perfect location with a lot of nice restaurants, little galleries nearby. Personal touch starting from very convenient communication system, all information from hotel comes via sms to the very thoughtful details in the room itself. Very friendly staff

The location of this small but well-kept all-suites hotel is blissfully away from the crowds and in easy walking distance to gardens and, only a little further, the river Douro. The hotel is lovely and the breakfast the best we had during the whole trip. Rooms are huge and quiet. The parking is very handy to have in Porto.

The hotel could invest in more staff as the lovely receptionist also had to address breakfast needs and more, resulting in our having to wait a bit outside the locked door on arrival. The rooms are for people who know each other well as bathrooms are not completely separated from the rest of the room.

A very well located and charming place. A very nice garden sums up the nice design of the house. The breakfast is super tasty with fresh ingredients and a lovely selection of teas.

Some furniture (chair & cabinet) and the shower in the room were broken, could be better maintained since the rest of the hotel is beautiful.

We were lucky to receive an upgrade to a king room. The rooms are beautifully decorated with big free standing bath for ultimate relaxation. Location was great there are many independent and vintage shops in this area and only a short walk from restaurants and bars

Excellent location, in one of the most fashionable neighbourhoods in Porto. Our room was located on the 3rd floor, with garden view, what was really restful and pleasant. We enjoyed having a lot of books at our disposal. Breakfast was very tasteful. There is also a small grocery, where one can buy excellent gourmet items. We will definitely recommend Rosa et al Townhouse to our friends!

Although I liked the breakfast a lot, I would rather have the possibility to make choices from a buffet.

we loved that the property was stunning inside and in a great location, with great staff and amazing food.

We didn’t like that you could constantly hear people walking around upstairs while we were sleeping. Also would have been great to be able to get a drink and sit in the garden early evening.
