I liked the welcome from the staff, they speak all languages and there was always someone to open the hotel door and call the elevator. The hotel is also amazing, the rooms very big and there is everything you need.

We love the Nespresso machine in the room, the spacious room with desk and sofa, and the lounge and decor of the the hotel. But what makes this place so special are the staff members. They are so accommodating and take the time to engage in conversation with you. They all speak English very well. And they are always ready to help with directions to places and ideas for visiting the city of Porto.

The front desk staff went out of their way to make our stay great. We were offered a glass of port and local dessert called nata upon check in. Very warm welcome. I do recommend.

I reserved a twin room but the beds were kind of too close together.

The hotel is not located totally in the center, but okay. Not many restaurants in the closer area.

We liked the welcome from the staff, especially the nice guy from the reception (whose name I unfortunately forgot) giving us such great advice with regards to our visit in Porto as well as Sara from the restaurant and Rafael who was always there to open the hotel door and call the elevator. The hotel is also amazing, the rooms very big and there is everything you need. It is a 15 minutes walk to the centre of Porto and so much more quiet! So this is the right place to chose if you want to have a good sleep at night. The staff did everything to accommodate our needs and we felt welcome at any time. If I ever return to Porto, this is the place I would stay again. Thank you all - you are amazing.

Although everyone is very friendly, I wish the staff who was serving breakfast would have reached out to us more pro-actively! Everything which was not offered in the buffet, I had to ask for such as e.g. scrambled eggs. My friend who really did neither eat nor drink much wasn't asked if she would like some more coffee. It was not a problem to get all this once we asked for and the staff was really sweet - but yes, you are a 5 star hotel and this is something which I think could be improved - reaching out to guest more pro-actively especially as 20 Euros for a breakfast is quite expensive.

The reception staff were exceptional, I have rarely had such a warm welcome to a hotel. The staff on my arrival could not have been more helpful or more welcoming. A great first impression which was maintained during my stay. I was very pleased with the location which is in a very quiet street close to the main shopping street in Porto. It is convenient for everything but feels a long way from the very noisy and busy tourist areas closer to the river. It was lovely to return to the peace and calm of the hotel after a day exploring the sights. I enjoyed breakfast in the courtyard and my room and bathroom were both very spacious and comfortable. I will be back!

I have no complaints

We spent two nights here and had a lovely stay. The hotel is only 17 rooms and as one expects from a hotel of this size the staff is awesome. They are polite, helpful and attentive to the needs of their guests. The check in was relaxed with a glass of wine and a chat about the sights with the amazing front office manager Helder. Rafael was superb with his service throughout our stay The restaurant with the chefs tasting menu was and experience in itself. Sarah took care of us with grace and a smile. The location of the hotel is in the city but only 7 mins walk from the crowded area which makes it nice and quite In all it was a wonderful and memorable stay

there is some construction in the plot next door and it’s noisy in the morning at 8 am

This hotel stands out from my other European hotel experiences. I stayed in a large room with windows along a whole wall (with black out curtains ) a couch and side chair and a desk, what would be termed a suite in any American hotel. It had a large bed, comfortable pillows, clean linens every day, an espresso style coffee machine in the room, complementary water and minibar beverages replenished every day. We did not opt for the breakfast, except for one day when we had an early start; this also seemed slightly above and beyond the usual hotel breakfast, since the chef will cook your eggs to order. There is a lovely living room style bar, with lots of art on the walls, and a TV if you want to watch it. There is also a restaurant, which evidently is quite good, but fixed menu with 5 or 7 courses, which we were never hungry enough to try. We didn’t have time to eat there. Lastly, there’s a second bar in the other hotel, the editory garden. The hotel is on a quiet street but is also a 5 block walk to a pedestrianized street and shopping area. I walkied to most locations from here, but did do between 8000 and 12000 steps per day. The staff are what really make this hotel special. They are absolutely above and beyond the whole time. I needed special assistance a couple of times, and it was provided immediately and fully, never with a whiff of the attitude toward tourists sometimes found. Personable, charming, friendly, and very efficient. I would give this hotel six stars if I could.

Kind of wish we could have been closer to the sights, but it's a small quibble.
