Beautiful place. The moment you arrive at the hotel you feel a blanket of peace and tranquility coming over you. The staff provided amazing service and speaks well English to explain the necessary items + how to use the onsen. The room is spacious, clean, and has a beautiful view on the small river. Beautiful bathroom as well and the bed sleeps amazing! The highlight was the onsen, our first time to do this and we couldn’t pick a better location for this! The breakfast was world class!

There is a bar next to the reception that serves specialty cocktails. Unfortunately it only operates on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we were only at the hotel from Tuesday to Wednesday. It is a small pity we missed the chance to have a nice drink at the hotel.

Truly an amazing gem in Karuizawa, I visited this town just for the hotel and was not disappointed. The staff are all very attentive and helpful, the facilities are clean and beautiful, my standard room was bigger than my apartment and the bed and pillows super comfy. The breakfast here is out of this world, the best I’ve ever had, and the spa is also amazing, with an indoor pool, outdoor pool and cold tub and sauna as well. I was able to thoroughly relax and enjoy some down time away from the city, I will definitely come again some time!

Onzen facility is great . hotel service is excellent in general. I am so impress that hotel sent shuttle bus to pick my whole family up from outlets . We couldn’t find taxi and it is so cold that shuttle bus with kind driver rescue us :)

I am trying to book Italian restaurant in the hotel twice and your staff said it is fully booked . But I saw few empty tables with no customers . so I don’t understand why your staff didn’t try hard enough to get me the table . Another incident during my breakfast time , I try to move my table that has more shade since my table expose to heavy sun, but the lady in front - host came and complain at me that I have no right to move my table. So I wait 10-15 mins she stuck didn’t assign someone to help me move table. so I have to move the table and move all the food myself. quite disappointing with that host lady. I consider she is quite rude to me .

Everything was excellent - from the staff to the room to the facilities and the food. Unfortunately I only booked us for a night, next time we will stay at least 2 nights! There are options around the area for food and activities, with a little bit of walking. Activities such as glass making workshop. Food - convenience store opposite the hotel and a few restaurants (BBQ, cafe, etc) down the road.

Nil. Everything was excellent and far exceeded my expectations.

The hotel provided an introduction to tatarmi culture sleeping arrangements for my family. Staff were helpful explaining how the daily room set up routine works. The beds on the floor were very comfortable. The snow in March was amazing and it was lovely to have a balcony with a view. We hired crampons and walking poles from reception which was a good investment as it was icey coming down from seeing the amazing snow monkeys.

very beautiful property with wonderful amenities! The staff were very helpful and they spoke very good English! The staff in the restaurant remembered us and what drinks we preferred! The ability to order room service was wonderful as well as the mini bar in the rooms! The blackout shades are amazing and filter out all of the outside light!

The coffee maker was a little tricky to initially figure out. There wasn’t a lot of information on the website or from previous guests about the public spa rules and policies. (it’s separated by gender and no clothing, no tattoos allowed). It wasn’t directly in town but it’s close enough drive or taxi that it’s okay! It would have been helpful to have a room service menu to order from, in the room (I looked up the menu on my phone).

I traveled with my two children for a ski trip and the hotel stay exceeded my expectations. The rooms were large for Japanese standards and very clean. We ordered pizza and french toast from room service for dinner and had the buffet breakfast. Both were absolutely delicious. The breakfast had Japanese and Western options to please everybody. We made use of the onsen and morning shuttle service. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and look forward to retuning to the hotel in the near future.

Nothing to complain about.

I booked this hotel for my sister's birthday and she had a great time. The room was cozy and the bed super comfortable. There was an amazing shower and bathtub with a view to the surrounding nature. The communication with the hotel was great and the staff went above and beyond to make my sister's stay special. I'd like to thank especially Mrs. Mitsuke Yumiko her kindness and for arranging the cake.

The spa seemed to be a bit understaffed. Not all treatments were available and there were not that many available times. However, my sister got a great 1h massage and the staff was lovely.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The design is impressive, creating a pleasant atmosphere throughout. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable, and the staff members are friendly and accommodating. For those with a car, the proximity to the outlet is a significant advantage. Overall, the experience was well worth the money spent.

I love the breakfast with good taste but need to wait for long time for seat. I would like to say thank you to Nova (the staff who work in restaurant). She is so helpful and have a good English. The hotel looks modern and good design.

The hotel location is not convenient. Suggested to improve the schedule of shuttle bus. Meanwhile, I had a bad experience when I was check-in as I have waited for 30 mins.
