Location is quite good, adjacent to tram stop (one stop from station: expensive if single trip; cheap if using tram elsewhere in day). Reasonable walking distance from city centre (or station if unencumbered). Room was typical chain hotel style: generally comfortable and adequate. Heating controls were simple and worked well. Bed was comfortable and bedside light adequate. Shower fine.

Room had but one (hard) chair and very dim lighting; it would not suit someone who wanted to work or otherwise spend much time sitting around. There was a small amount of street noise which didn't bother me, but these were Sunday to Tuesday nights and a light sleeper might be disturbed. I took breakfast one day (£12). It was not the worst hotel buffet I've encountered but certainly not the best. The food selection was fairly basic and it suffered the usual problems of lukewarm food kept waiting for too long. Price seemed fairly stiff for chain.

We were very happy with our stay at Ibis Nottingham, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly as soon as we arrived. The location was several minutes away from the ice rink where we were attending an event and also very near to numerous bars, restaurants and a supermarket. We booked a family room which consisted of a double bed and 1 single bed. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Breakfast in the morning was impressive, there was a lot of choice. We arrived on a Saturday night and had not pre-booked a restaurant and realised that the wait would be at least a couple of hours however the Ibis made fantastic pizzas which we had for dinner instead. A great stay all round. We'd definitely stay again. Thank you.

Location is perfect for visiting the city and discounted carpark is directly opposite the hotel which is a real bonus. Nice little bar in the foyer which we weren't expecting. Rooms were basic but that was to be expected, but clean and warm. Bed was comfortable but pillows could do with some softening work - I ended up packing my puffer jacket into mine to make it less hard... The cooked breakfast was initially disappointing as it looked like it had been sitting there congealing for ages but then they replaced it and it was steaming hot and fresh, so all good in the end. Nice coffee machine. The best bit was one of the front of house staff who's name escapes me, but was studying law at NTU having immigrated to the UK only 5 years before and not speaking a word of English. Such a friendly, charming guy and a credit to the hotel.

We've never stayed at an Ibis hotel before, so we truly didn't know what to expect. It was a last minute booking and the location was exactly what we wanted so it suited us. On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised to find a very clean and comfortable room, that was relatively spacious and had all the elements we required for our short stay. The beds were comfortable and even though this is a city centre hotel (and we MEAN City CENTRE!!) it was quiet and we were able to sleep well.

We were told that we could validate our parking ticket (for the car park directly across the road from the hotel), which we did on leaving. When we paid, however, no money was removed from our tariff, so we had to pay the full £16.00, which was disappointing. We were in a rush to leave, so weren't in a position to query this at the time...

Good choice of hot and cold food at breakfast. Plenty of oat and soya milk. Plenty of choice for vegetarians / vegans. Gluten free cereal available if you ask. Very comfortable room: fairly basic, but perfect for what I needed. Lovely shower. Excellent toiletries. Fantastic location right in the city centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. View from the hotel windows is amazing. You can see the Castle from the windows near the stairs.

Decaf tea and coffee are available at breakfast so they could be in the room as standard. I had to ask and go to reception to get these. No teaspoons, just little wooden coffee stirrers which aren't very good if you're making tea, but that's a minor quibble.

really close by the lace market car park and the city centre. Fantastically friendly staff and surprisingly well appointed rooms. The bathroom was a sort of fitted pod which I normally dislike but it was really well done and the shower was really roomy and even got my Autistic child to ask for another shower when normally they hate showers! Really close to a convenience shop too.

one room had a leaky window and the breakfast wasn't great but was adequate. Sadly quite a lot of homeless people in the area which is always sad to see

Staff at reception were very friendly, we even commented on this to each other when we got into the lift to our room. They were also thoughtful and put us away from a large party of guests so it would be quiet for us. Room was comfortable and clean, no issues

The security guard with no obvious staff tag approaching us when we arrived back late and did not ask for our room key card but expected us to show it. Not a good thing having a grumpy lone man approaching two women like that. A smile and a polite request for a room key would be good, and an obvious name tag to show us he was staff not just a random bloke approaching us.

The location was perfect 30 minutes walk to any of the main attractions you would like to see in Nottingham. A good selection for breakfast.

Personally I found my bed uncomfortable and didn’t sleep very well during my stay. And the only other minor thing was the was no rubbish bin in the actual room only a very small one under the sink in the bathroom.

Our stay at the Ibis Hotel in Nottingham was fantastic! Being right smack in the city center was incredibly convenient, and the modern vibe, complete with card-based check-in, gave us a taste of luxury. We lucked out with a room on the 5th floor, which gave us a very beautiful view of the surroundings. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and it definitely felt more upscale than your typical 2-star place.

There was a bit of a weird smell now and then, which we figured was just part of the deal with England's dampness. One gripe we had was with the housekeeping. Even though we put out the "please clean my room" tag, they didn't change the sheets during our four-day stay, which was a bit of a letdown.

the breakfast was really good, far exceeded what i expect of most breakfasts in normal hotels the bed was comfortable and easy to sleep on one particular staff member who checked me in was friendly and helpful all the way through my stay :)

the room was quite noisy with a lot of drunk people coming back late at night the location was very close to bars, great if you like that sort of thing however I just found it annoying the chair in the room was quite uncomfortable to sit on when i'd had enough exploring for the day
