I couldn't be any happier with our stay! From the moment we got there, till the moment we checked out.. Staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming. I was hesitant and anxious to go to a different city alone with my daughter, who is only 5, but we were made to feel so welcome, and we fell in love with the hotel. Not to mention the friendly staff, delicious breakfast, fabulous location, and gorgeous room. We were able to visit so many different places without even bothering to use any transport. Honestly, I could go on.. Thank you for having us in your luxurious suite. :)

fantastic central location. staff were great and very welcoming. The room was nice and a bit different

for the price we paid we thought the bathroom was very basic. On the website it wasn’t overly clear that the bars that are listed as part of the hotel, are not actually part of the hotel, and it wasn’t clear that two of them only open on weekends which was disappointing. Also if you are travelling to the hotel car park by car as an outsider to Nottingham it’s very difficult to navigate getting to the car park due to new construction and tram only or pedestrian only roads, could be an idea to provide an easy route

Very big rooms lovely bed complimentary soft drinks. Nice big TV situated in front of the bed. Very nice breakfast. Nice decor. To a point. Friendly staff. Very clean. Good value for money.

The lifts could do with some maintenance they squeak when you are moving. A little unsettling. Not that I have a problem with Notts County football team. Don't quite seem to get the relevance. I know we are in Nottingham and you are proud of your football team. But state this on your website. If your rooms are themed. Then a choice would have been nice. It said city view. Not quite what I imagined looking down a side street. I would definitely stay here again but not in the same room. Much prefer a room not dedicated to a football team.

The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, they allowed me to check in a little bit earlier because my room was ready. The standard room was slightly smaller than the upgraded room I stayed in previously but I didn't mind this as it was only a one night stay. The room was really warm and had everything you needed. The location is great for public transport and shops and restaurants. The playhouse where I was going was only about a ten minute walk away from the hotel. Really enjoyed this short stay.

The only thing as I believe I said in my previous review was I would like to be provided more than room key for my hotel room

Really enjoyed my 2 night stay at The Mercure , it was close to the Motorpoint Arena where I was attending a gig last night. It was close to the Lace Market Tram Stop and all the shops and local amenities. The hotel was quirky and had lots of character. The hotel room felt comfortable and welcoming. The staff were helpful, attentive and friendly , they couldn't do enough to help with our stay. I have another event in Nottingham soon and I have already made a reservation as this stay was so pleasant.

As there were three of us staying it may have been more helpful to have more than one room key.

good location, very comfortable and clean and didn’t have to spend any money on alcohol because the decor made us feel drunk already 🤭. But in all honesty a very comfortable and interesting room, we got a free upgrade which was amazing and very kind. we stayed in a suite on the 5th floor and honestly cannot fault it a bit. the bath was huge and there were feather and regular pillows which was a godsend for a couple who both detest one type each! really nice refreshments and a mini fridge too. 100% recommended.

no view from the room but personally we don’t care about that, the room makes up for it anyway!

Location was perfect for us as it was right in town and had a awesome bar attached to it.. the breakfast was fantastic and staff very friendly. The room was clean and comfy.

A little annoyed that after I booked for me and my partner, I had a email from the hotel saying the room was really only suitable for one person due to its size. Nothing stated that on booking and they then asked if I wanted to pay a extra £20 to upgrade to a bigger room.. It also coast us £18 to park over night. So all in all, was quite expensive to stay here.

the property has an excellent location in town with plenty of on site amenities. Upon arrival we were checked by a gentleman who I believe was the hotel manager, during polite conversation while checking in we were asked the purpose of our visit; which was for my 30th birthday. The member of staff then upgraded our room for us twice to an amazingly larger space with better facilities. we were completely taken aback by this and are extremely grateful for an amazing stay.

the only complaint I have is that sadly our air conditioning unit was broken so our sleep was quite warm

The look of the hotel was amazing; very quirky with jazzy colours and beautiful decorations. The room was the perfect size for two, and the bed was so comfortable! The location was great as well, central and close to everything, and the staff was very friendly.

It wasn't so much the hotel but some of the other guests were loud, but being in the city center you kind of just expect that. The beautiful large staircase was a bit crooked and it made me feel a bit sea sick, but again, that was more on me than the hotel itself :)

Great central location with lots of places to shop and eat within walking distances. Nice room with funky decor and good shower .

Unfortunately there was no air on and my room windows opened into an internal "courtyard/service area " so was no through breeze but a fan was provided and I'm sure if id asked the room would've been moved for me as staff were fantastic. I didn't ask as I was out most of the time and the weather wasn't too hot .
