The nearness to the train station, the hotel is beautiful, the staff cannot help enough, so pleasant. Our room was lovely. Breakfast was fantastic, choice of 6 cereals, toast, crumpets, croissants, cheese, meats. Juices and tea coffee. In fact all you could want. We arrived early so we're given a room that was ready unfortunately it was on the 3rd floor. We are 72 and 67 years old so it was a climb for me. I think if I had asked for another room it would not have been a problem. However I love people watching so we had great views. 100 out of 100.

That we had to leave, hope to be back soon.

The breakfast was really good. I was missing it after our stay. The coffee was delicious and there was so much choice. It was great being so close to the centre of town. The staff were so welcoming and hospitable.

I didn’t realise that we would be sharing a bathroom with others. That was a bit of a surprise; but I needn’t have worried. Luckily there was never a queue and it was always clean and stocked. I just had to try to remember to bring a towel with me each time. The location was a little noisy, but you have to expect this being in a city I suppose. It wasn’t so noisy that it disturbed us too much luckily.

The room was spacious with view of canal and castle. Despite being next to the Station the location was relatively quiet. Definitely no train noise. The continental breakfast was enjoyable with good choices.

My room faced the Road and was aware of traffic noise. However, once the bus service ended I heard nothing until buses started the following morning. Not too disruptive to sleep, but noticeable compared to total quiet at home. In fairness, Rosie offered a quieter room at checkin but said I was happy with room 7. Would probably request a different room if I return at some stage.

location, right opposite the entrance to Nottingham Railway Station. Very Friendly staff. The bedroom was large and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The receptionist on arrival carried my very heavy case up to my bedroom, I am nearly 74 years old my baggage was heavy, but she made light of it.

It said in the confirmation that there is no lift and two flights of stairs to the bedroom, but there was a steep set of stairs to reach the reception desk. The bedroom was not heated although the water in the bathroom and shower was hot. I assumed it had to do with the cost of power and the hotel was being economic.

The staff are all absolutely lovely. Friendly, helpful and cheerful. Very nice room and bathroom en suite. Great continental breakfast included in the room rate. Full English available and not expensive. Great location for exploring Nottingham. Next to the train station, buses and trams. Multi story car park very near by. Good value and will definitely book here again next time we visit Nottingham.

The location. It mentions that it is close to everything however, (unless you got the train- it is right opposite and you will hear people coming and going to/from the station all night) everything else when you don’t know the area is a trek and a half. There is 0 parking (so you will need to pay extra once you find some) and Googlemaps does not pick up the property when you are walking. a ‘12 minute walk’ to a destination, ended up being 90 and getting lost. The bed is a little hard and unfortunately a dirty towel was given

walk across from the train station and there you are. very convenient. This alone makes it a great place for tired travellers! small grocery store at foot of the building was helpful. Room was cosy and modest, but a comfortable bed; bathroom had good water pressure and supplies. staff were very welcoming and helpful. breakfast was very decent continental with yogurt, fruit, cereals, tea and coffee.

There is no elevator, so accessibility will be a problem for some. We climbed 3 flights of stairs to the room. TV did not work. Close to the train station also meant noisy. furnishings are functional but tired.

Exceed expectations. I hesitated booking because rooms were advertised as with shared bathroom but I was lucky to be given a room with ensuite. The decor and fittings are basic but very clean. I had an amazing view over Nottingham The breakfast dining room is absolutely charming, the staff were really warm, and friendly and the atmosphere really relaxing. Breakfast included was a bonus, with a variety of juices, pastries, cereals, fruit salad and continental meats, hot and cold drinks. This hotel is in the best spot you could wish for. Particularly handy for the employment tribunal courts and the railway station. I was staying alone and I think important to say I felt comfortable and very safe because it is not big, imposing with a maze of corridors, it's open, well lit and compact, very homely.

Location was great, it is just outside the train station and the city centre is very much walkable. The staff were really friendly and offered to show us the main sights of the city on a map and we were able to check in a few hours early.

Not many bad things to say about the stay. The only negative was that it was quite expensive for Nottingham. I'm not sure if there was a major event happening on the weekend of our stay that meant a surge in prices.

I like the quirkiness of the decor in the bar area and the breakfast was decent (with a wide range of cereals, fruits, croissants, muffins, crumpets, juice and yoghurt). The staff were very helpful and courteous. They made me two de-caff coffees!

There was another guest outside my room when I first arrived who was obviously very drunk and kept shouting expletives. Then, later on in the evening (around 11.30pm) there was a lot of noise on the street below - car with very loud car radio and lots of drunks shouting. I know this isn’t the fault of the hotel but just in case you’re the type of person who needs relative quiet, I wouldn’t choose this hotel, as it is very central and is right next to the railway station. Also, the decor was a little tired in the room - there were scrapes and paint missing on some of the walls and the shower was a little bit mouldy. I think it could do with an upgrade but for the price, I wasn’t complaining.
