Good location by rail and bus station. Good single room, excellent breakfast and lovely staff. Clean and comfortable.
It was let down by the plumbing. There's a little note in the bathroom about hot water problems at busy times. This was true at all times. But my shower experience was dreadful: the water had been warm to start with (perfect) but after turning on again to rinse, and without changing the setting, cold water came out for several minutes. Eventually warm and then very hot water returned, but it wasn't pleasant.

Lovely welcome at reception and really helpful reception staff. Room was great with all the facilities we needed. Very clean. Comfy beds and great shower. Excellent breakfast.
Small thing but breakfast staff very inflexible and made us sit in a dark corner by the kitchen doors squashed next to other guests in a room with lots of empty tables. Reason given was that that table was already laid. We offered to move the cutlery etc but we were told we couldn't.There were lots of empty tables in bright sunny parts of the breakfast room and none were reserved. Had to ask three different people before we could move. A shame as it was a great breakfast other than that rather bizarre plan to make life easier for the staff rather than better for the guests.

Unfortunately my young adults in a triple room had no hot water, they were asked to run it for 20 mins, they did for 40, still nothing. After a long 8 hour trip not very nice to not be able to shower. I was promised a call by the general manager, nothing, called and left a message, no reply. Not good enough guys, a hot shower is a fair ask.

Being right opposite the station was a big positive for me. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. (no view) The dinner in the pub was well priced and very tasty. There was a good selection for breakfast which was also well presented and tasty. The building is lovely and old and has been well maintained.
I am a woman travelling on my own with a lot of luggage. I was really struggling but was offered no assistance up to my room. Even though there is a lift, I would have appreciated a little assistance.

Very welcoming and comfortable hotel. All the staff, including housekeeping, were friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu and buffet were plentiful and dinner was very good and impeccably served. Our room was cleaned and towels changed daily and tea/coffee facilities well stocked. The hotel location is great for city centre and just across the road from the train station. All in all, a great place for a city break.
Slight issues with delayed hot water to the bathroom. We had to run the shower/bath taps for some minutes before water appears hot. Possibly older plumbing or something and there was a notice in the bathroom apologising for this. It wasn't a big issue though and didn't detract from our experience overall.

This character building had a great location. One feels the history of the area. Old pub room for an evening drink was cozy. Location was great as we could walk into the centre of the old city easily. No breakfast was available for us, but the staff recommended an amazing breakfast place across the street with which we were very pleased. Our luggage was safely kept for us after we checked out - so we could wander through Bath at our leisure.
Parking was off site, down a side street and off the alley. That felt a little uncomfortable - but worked out in the end. The older character building did show its age, especially with the carpets.

Staff all very friendly from the receptionist to the cleaners. Very chatty, good tips on what's around and cleaners offered to leave a little bag of goodies outside our rooms as we didn't require it cleaning (milk, coffee, toilet roll etc) which was nice. Receptionist could not do more, breakfast staff all very friendly and food was excellent, very happy to add extra items to cooked option. Dining room not too large, informal and cosy. Single rooms very comfortable, lovely bathroom, liked the little cubby hole / wardrobe with chest of drawers near a mirror and a socket - very practical.
Lighting at far side of dining room could be better - a little dim if not sitting near a window. The mini wardrobe/cupboard in the single rooms could benefit from having a light on the inside and/or over the mirror just outside, it was a little dark for applying makeup and although there was an over mirror light in the bathroom, it was a little hot and stuffy to use for makeup after showering.

It was brillaint, the staff were lovely and helped a lot with questions about the area. They understood when myself and my son were havjbg to check out 30 to 60mins late as I had to sort out my sons breakfast. It wasn't an issue for them they were realky understanding and didn't rish me one bit. The area itself is right next to town yet it wasnt loud, it was clean and comfortable. However parking is a bit tight as there's onky 7 spaces so it was a struggle. The bathroom was rwakky big to nice and spacious with a bath and shower, lovely clean tiling with i had a bathroom like it tbh at home made me want to stay longer. Even got cute free bottles of water which they'd replaced the next day.

We had a wonderful stay, it is an older hotel so if your looking for modern then it's not for you, the bed was so comfy, we had a superior room so it was very spacious, the bar staff were amazing and the domestic was so helpful left us goodies every day. Location excellent as my husband has some mobility issues. Train bus taxi directly across rd, we didn't eat much in the hotel but what we had was great and the prices were not your usual hotel prices, all in all a very comfortable relaxing stay, will so be back 😀
