Great location for this mini break with lovely restaurants & bars local to the Guest House. Nice quiet neighbourhood with loads of character.

Two small issues which are to note but DID NOT spoil our stay. Firstly there is overnight on-street parking between 19.00 and 8.00am which means moving your car early if you have chosen this option. There is a large car park beneath the local Waitrose supermarket which is a 5 min walk away (£15 24 hr stay) which is the better option we found. Secondly - the Guest House do mention in their information that this is a listed building and there is no lift. We had a room on the third floor which was a considerable climb to the top. If you struggle with stairs please request a lower floor - the last flight is particularly steep.

A very friendly and honest service, nothing was to much trouble. Strongly recommend

One or two minor issues with the room but not worth mentioning. Didn’t spoil the overall experience

The hosts were welcoming, friendly and informative inspite of us arriving earlier than expected. The hotel is well located about 10 minute easy stroll to the city centre. Car parking was easy in a public car park less than 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. The hotel is well appointed and secure. I received a good guide to the security and it was easy to use. There is no lift but the host assisted us with our case to the room on the second floor. There are rooms on lower floors for the less able. On the ground floor there is a lovely period breakfast room cum lounge and reception. Our room was very comfortable and had all the facilities we could wish for. Wifi was easy to connect to. The bed was very comfortable and the room was airy but warm. The bathroom had a small bath and an effecient shower and was enough for our needs. A good breakfast was included in the room rate and included a small 'fry' and extras were available to preordet at an extra reasonable charge. Toast, tea and cereals were plentiful and there was an excellent selection of fruit juices to choose from. I consider the Windsor a 'find' and if I needed to stay in Bath again would definitely rebook. The decor of the hotel is good, occasional little dings, but nothing to detract from the stay or value. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay and your recommendation of where to have dinner.

Communication with every member of staff from prior to our arrival and right through our stay was friendly, helpful and they were always offering to help in any way they could from storing bags before and after checkin / checkout to advising on parking etc. a lovely approach to customer service. The rooms were clean and well presented, as was the rest of the property. Breakfast was simple but really well cooked, well presented and delicious, with abundant amounts of tea / coffee (including free refills) and toast. Overall, a very positive experience.

Being a period property, and with rooms created within the spaces available, the sound proofing between rooms was not as effective as you will find in a purpose built hotel, so we could hear our neighbours singing, talking and laughing (pleasantly, not raucously) until 3am. This wasn't a great issue for us, but we didn't get quite as restful a sleep as we might otherwise have done.

The hotel is very well decorated and the breakfast was lovely. Location was very good for what we wanted to do. The hotel is on a very grand street and near to the Holburne Museum where we wanted to go.

The kettle and cups could have been in a more obvious place instead of under a low table supporting a fridge. We thought initially that there were no tea and coffee facilities. Only one teabag was available and no milk. There also was only a little toilet paper left in the bathroom and no extra toilet roll to use. We did, however, sort our own selves out and had a pleasant stay.

Hotel was in a great location for the city centre, Building was beautiful and décor was very tasteful. Option for a late check out was great for us and extremely helpful. It had the best breakfast out of the 4 hotels we visited that week. I would recommend the eggs benedict! Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Hosts were great.

Bathroom wasn't as clean around the bath and shower area that we would have liked and the shower hose and under the shower controls wasn't very clean. Personal preference but thought the TV was a little too small for the room although we appreciate that not everyone likes to watch TV when away we like to watch the news in the morning.

Fab location very near to the city centre. Lovely Regency building with a comfortable, homely atmosphere. The interiors of the bedroom needed a bit of tlc - curtain pelmets needed fixing for example, and the wardrobe was water damaged on the inside and needed a clean. Strange arrangement with the kettle within the wardrobe ( cause of water damage?) but good to have a fridge and microwave, both unexpected. Staff were all charming. Great cooked breakfast, although the cereal looked untouched for some time and was unappealing.

Rooms ( bathrooms) were not cleaned daily. This would not be a problem to DIY if there were cleaning products provided.

I can only applaud the warm reception and the staff provided a very comfortable atmosphere which boosted a very positive stay. Well done and thank you.

There is nothing I can think of which I class as a negative. One comment on direction, coming out of parking by Turtle Bay Bar, I was told to cross bridge. I was supposed to go left which looked nothing like a bridge but a Main Street and in front was as bridge as we would all know a bridge to look like. This was confusing and only after walking around for 15 minutes I noticed that what I thought was the Main Street was actually a bridge. I would recommend the direction minor update for first timers like me. (This is not a negative just an observation)

We loved the location close to town. Staff were very welcoming - on arrival and during breakfast. Breakfast was more than ample - a very good start to the day! The room was clean and tidy. The bed mattress was sumptuous - very comfortable.

Invited, when booking, to request anything extra, I asked for soya milk ( not an allergy, a preference) however there was no soya milk. There was oat milk, which was adequate. The bedroom was decorated beautifullly and had a fridge, safe, ironining board and iron. There was also a kettle, tea /coffee etc but there was no plug near the larger table ( there were plugs near the bedside tables but they were unstable, particularly the one nearest the window) so had to resort to making beverages on the ironing board, which wouldn't have been so bad but the Charlotte room is small, so it did impact on our use of space. If we were to stay here again I would ensure I book a larger room. The Charlotte room was manageable for a couple for one night. Longer stays I would suggest single occupancy.

Location is amazing. Staff are super friendly and cannot do enough for you. Whew company complimentary toiletries

Didn’t get clean towels on day 2 despite putting them in the bath to indicate they needed changing how we the bedsheets were changed after only one night which I found odd. Needs a runner bath May to avoid slipping in bath and a few more under items like shower cap cotton bud’s etc. there were 3 of us in our room but only 2 mugs . Coffee wasn’t replenished on day 2
