Great location, a quiet, picturesque village. The b&b has a lovely garden, several communal areas to relax in or watch tv if you don’t want to be in your room. The hot tub and bbq were great additions. The host provided us with cutlery, crockery wine glasses and cooking utensils. There is a local produce farm shop a short walk away where we got some meat and salad. The host have fridge for guests to use too! The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked to order and brought to you at your table.

Great location, whether you just want to spend a few days in the countryside at the Jurassic Coast near Durdle Door, or are walking the South West Coastal Path. Quiet place that has a regular public bus connection which makes it easy to get around without having to use the car. The B&B has a huge well-kept garden that can be used by the guests which is especially helpful for dog owners but also convenient if you want to sit outside and enjoy a good glass of wine in the evening. The highlight though are the hosts, Jan, Mark and Doris (a very friendly and calm dog) who makes you feel like staying with friends. The room is clean, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom all new and of high standards and the breakfast gorgeous. Did I mention that I brought a dog who was welcomed too? I really had 10 wonderful days there and will for sure return because I still have to walk a few miles of the coastal path.

We arrived at Marley House B&B after our 4 hour drive, and the setting was idyllic. Perfectly quaint village setting, and the house itself was beautiful. Our room was gorgeous in green and overlooked the stunning garden and had a view of a nearby church. Jan and Mark, the owners, could not have taken better care of us. The breakfast was superb - served with smiles and jokes. It was dog friendly and very relaxed. We played chess one night in the conservatory and Mark joined us for a few games. Our expectations were exceeded on every level. Great value for money and we don't usually tend to revisit places to stay as we like to experience new places, but we would definitely stay here should we be in Dorset in the future.

There was nothing we didn't like, at all. It was perfect.

Where to start...we simply fell in love with this property! Jan and Mark are so lovely and made us feel right at home. They are truly dog friendly! The B&B is stunning and very spacious. The living room is huge, would allow multiple guests at the same time and all sorts of entertainment is provided. Bring swimsuit as there is a hot tub you don't want to miss! Breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. You can tell products are fresh and top quality. Our apartment was bright and full of colors, it had everything you could ever ask for and more. We couldn't find a better location and we cannot wait to go back.

There is a church bell ringing every hour. Not the property's fault but if you are sensitive to noises bring earplugs.

We had a great time celebrating my birthday with my husband, daughter and her boyfriend. Jan and Mark are lovely hosts and made us feel special in every way - thank you once again! We loved the rooms - spacious, clean, comfortable and elegant. The apartment was very comfortable with the kitchenette and seating area adding to the homely feel. The location is perfect for day trips in Dorset. Breakfast was fantastic - freshly baked pastries, local produce, excellent coffee. We'll definitely return to try the hot tub and do more exploring...

Our Hosts Jan and Mark made us welcome from the minute we arrived . Giving us a tour of the house before showing us to our room. Our room was beyond our expectations, with kitchenette including microwave ,hob and oven. The super king size bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was superb ,compliments to the Chef, also Mark kept us entertained with his quirky quips whilst we were waiting for our breakfast to arrive . We arrived by car , but intended to use public transport during our stay . We were not disappointed in doing this as the bus stop was only a few meters away from Marley House. Durdle Dorr and Lulworth Cove was less than 15 mins on the bus. The Tank Museum was approx 30 mins on the same bus .The bus ran in a loop and every hour .which was very good. Going to Weymouth? Get off the bus at WOOL and catch the train ,EASY ! Marley House also welcomes dogs. Places to eat close by The Red Lion good pub grub. But The Sailors Return, Chaldon Herring has a great menu and the Venison and Parsnip Pie should not be missed

What didn't we like, was the fact that we had not taken our costumes to enjoy the large Hot Tub outside.

It was set in a lovely location and the rooms were very beautifully decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and Mark and Jan were wonderful hosts. We were made to feel very welcome and Mark was very attentive and made breakfast time very entertaining.!!! We started every day with a great breakfast, beautifully cooked and with a great laugh too!! Excellent location for travelling around Dorset.

The only downside was the poor water pressure in the shower, but Mark explained the situation and it’s a work in progress! It never put a damper on our day!

A lovely country house in a small Dorset village with a good pub within walking distance. Mark was a wonderful host, he made us so welcome and the breakfasts he served each morning really set us up for the day. We initially chose this b&b because it was dog friendly and our 2 small dogs were definitely made to feel welcome too. All in all a very relaxing 3 night stay and we would definitely stay again if we were ever in the area.

Jan and Mark could not have been more hospitable, friendly and welcoming at all times. One felt that they were welcoming you into their own home as friends rather than staying as paying guests! Breakfast was exceptional and an opportunity to chat with other guests, many of whom I believe return to stay there regularly. We were even invited to watch the Wimbledon's Men's Final with Mark and other friends in the Sitting Room, which enhanced our enjoyment of the stay.

The weather, which was not good at all over the weekend so unfortunately we could not enjoy the lovely, extensive grounds of the property!

Barry and I enjoyed our stay so much at this lovely bed and breakfast in this very pretty village. Location was perfect for our visit to the jurrasic coast but also was a quiet retreat to rest and relax in a perfect setting at the end of the day. The garden is set up perfectly for this but also a few local pubs nearby to venture out to. And as well as that I have to say that Mark and Jan are the perfect hosts. So friendly and lovely. We enjoyed our time with you so much and will be back. Thank you Mark for your quick wit and entertainment in the morning as you served our lovely breakfast which included everything. Linda and Barry
