This was advertised as a boutique hotel and it's quirkiness is what we enjoy. The staff bent over backwards to be helpful and the breakfast was amazing! It is siuated right next to 2 restaurants and we ate at both! Very different cuisines but each so good. The Bosnian one obviously likes to make sure you are fed up to get through a cold winter. The other had equally good food but of a modern healthy mode. I had a great Poke bowl. Our transport on to Triezte was canceled at 2.30am the morning we were to leave and we had to scramble to get on the 7.30am Flixbus. The Morning manager got us a taxi which can be difficult early Sunday and handed us a bag of hot rolls and pastries with her excellent coffee in take any cups so we didn't miss out on breakfast. We felt well looked after at this lovely place. Ljubjana is worth visiting. Check out the amazing castle!

There was a small kitchen in our room as asked but it obviulously had not been used for quite some time. The hot plates were worn out. I think it best that it is not mentioned as a feature. As it turned out we were provided with tea and coffee downstairs on request and that was really good.

The staff at Hotel Asteria were lovely , helpful, accommodating and always on hand to answer questions about the local area. The hotel is situated 10 mins by foot from the railway and bus stations and a 15 min walk into the centre of the city. A lot of thought has been given to creating a warm and friendly atmosphere, including a pleasant outside sitting area. Our room was of an adequate size with a large bathroom with WC and shower , the room itself had sufficient storage space for clothes as well as a comfortable bed. Breakfast was included in the price and it was good to have hot options cooked to order rather than sitting around and getting 'tired '. We felt that this hotel offered good value for money in a lovely city to visit.

The hotel is on a busy main road so a fair bit of traffic noise during the day , also the main city hospital is just down the road so helpful if you need emergency treatment but lots of ambulance sirens going up and down the road. We should add that there was little of no noise at night and our sleep was not disturbed by road /ambulance noise.

The location was very good for us - near the train/flixbus station and only 15 minutes away from the city center. The breakfast was good, the employees were very nice and the room for 3 people was perfect in size. The bathroom and in general everything was clean.

The doors are very thin and unfortunately we had pretty loud neighbours. In the evening it was not that bad, but in the morning you could hear the people quite loud from the breakfast. This is nothing tragic, I think we were just unlucky.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful, I especially liked the person who checked us in (I wish I had caught her name) who referred us to the Friday night street market that was a highlight of our stay in Ljubljana. We also really liked our room, the beds were really comfortable compared to other places we stayed during our trip. We also appreciated that the hotel arranged a shuttle for us back to the airport so we didn't have to worry about it.

Breakfast could have been a bit better, but there's plenty of places to eat around the hotel if you want something more elaborate. Otherwise we had no complaints and would happily stay there again.

Staff is very friendly and helpful, there is a very nice breakfast and location is quite good - few minutes walk from the main train station and ca. 10 minutes from city center. Room was clean, had everything you would need for short stay.

The room on the ground floor is poorly sound insulated. Other guests are having breakfast next to the room's entrance door, so you can hear everything from early in the morning or from the outside (main hotel entrance). I believe other rooms on top floors are more quiet, but this one on the ground floor I wouldn't recommend.

Early check in was possible so we could make the most of our time in the City. It was a 10 minute walk along the river to the heart of the city. The Hotel staff were very friendly with a can do attitude. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean with good aircon. We had a family room which had a small kitchen area with hob, sink and fridge which was useful. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was functional but very clean. Breakfast was great with freshly prepared cooked items - the omelettes were very good. Buffet style for other items such as yoghurts, croissants, cereals and fruit juice. We could leave our bags after we checked out whilst we were waiting for our hire car to be available. A perfect starting point for our holiday in Slovenia. Would thoroughly recommend for the cost.

The shower enclosure was a little small but other than that our experience was first class.

A lovely hotel with a positive vibe - lots of lovely messages scattered here and there which leave you feeling good. The room and bathroom were super clean and with all the necessary comforts. They also offer a very good breakfast, with tea , coffee and warm food prepared by a lovely lady according to one's preference. The hotel has a parking area next door (against payment, like all other parking areas in Ljubljana, but at very affordable rates). It is also just 20 mins on foot from the centre.

Nothing much, but with the high summer temperatures, having a small fridge in the room would be an asset.

Absolutely perfect!!! If I could, I would note this hotel with 11 instead of 10. Everything was exceptional - realy nice staff that helped us with everything we wanted, the receptionist explained everything to us - what to visit, how to reach the most important points of interests, eso. The hotel is cozy, close to city center - only 15 minutes walk away, a restaurant is placed right next to the hotel where you can have a delicious, not at all expensive lunch/dinner, delicious breakfast included in the price, clean and tidy rooms, the parking lot is next to the hotel, in the evening you can have a couple of drinks and delicious sandwiches on the hotel’s terrace.

Everything was perfect!

The Hotel is 20 minutes walk from the old city center with a parking next to the building which is very practical. It has a terrasse, where it is served a nice breakfast. The rooms are clean and practical. There are also 2 restaurants next to the Hotel with a big terrasse, which offer local dishes at good prices.

They are very strict with the check in hours, even the rooms are available, they ask customers to wait until 2pm, which is something other Hotels are more flexible and they give the room if they are available when hosts arrive. The decoration is old fashioned, but ok.

The breakfasts were great and set us up for the day. The receptionist, bar staff, breakfast staff did everything. Anna even provided us with tourist information every day, best places to visit etc. Close enough to the centre for a leisurely 15 minute walk. The outside space/terrace was lovely for breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening. Nice restaurant nearby (Saraj), so you didn't have to walk into town if tired out.

The hotel is near to the local hospital and from 6am -10pm there were ambulance sirens going up and down the road.
