Location was fantastic as you were literally a stone's throw from the prom/ocean; room was temperate and the beds were comfortable, views from the window whatever time of day were also great - I found when I couldn't sleep, being able to just roll over and pull the curtain aside a little to watch the world outside helped. Being able to access YouTube from the TV was an added bonus as it helped pass small moments of time, catch up on missed videos and also useful to play in the background when trying to get to sleep after a long day of walking.

Really sorry, but the bathroom loses a few stars, for one, with a kettle in the room it would be nice to be able to fill up said kettle from the tap, not have to walk back and forth several times with a small jug (which we bought) just to top it up; the loo was also a little restricting making it uncomfortable to perform 'simple actions' if you are a little on the 'larger' size of the scale... We didn't try the shower as this also appeared rather cramped/restricting. We also had a 'herd of elephants' travelling up and down the corridor late on our final evening, but you can't control what humans do after hours, so this isn't the fault of the hotel.

The hotel's reception staff were outstanding; Paul is a Esplanade's secret hospitality weapon and Zak Brown helped me through a tricky situation with my wife at home who suffers from Vascular Dementia. Thank you both.

The hotel is not the Ritz and arguably not de luxe but they make up for it witth attentive and responsive staff and of couirse a price which is very, very competitive.

From the minute we entered the property Sarah and her team was very attentive nothing too much trouble. The hotel allows dogs. I was let down by Three Sisters Cottage at the last minute and was panicking where I was going to go at such short notice. Sarah stepped in to help us out with 2 disabled pensioners and a dog. We also had our takeout which Sarah stepped in yet again with Warmed plates and cuttlery. I can not praise this hotel enough

The staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and the rooms were nice.

Unfortunately they were still refurbishing the hotel so there were bits of work still been done and the staff apologised for any dust which was understandable but there wasn’t much anyway. The room was hot and the lift wasn’t working. Would still go back.

Room was comfy and fairly clean (except under the beds and a dirty spoon on the floor!) location was great for us, staff lovely in all our interactions

One tiny window which was round a corner so not much natural light, view was a messy backyard, no soap or shower gel so had to ask for refills, corridors smelt very strong of smoke and cannabis!

Had a lovely weekend break in Paighton, and this hotel was lovely. . The room was small but it was very clean and comfortable and at such a great price. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is in a great location, right on the waterfront, a couple of minutes walk from the town. We certainly will be staying here again.

Lovely comfortable room. Bed extremely comfortable Staff go the extra mile. Nothing too much trouble. Locality good. Lovely young man carried my case. Bar lady extremely helpful and friendly. As is the reception staff.

Stairs could have been vacuumed. Bathroom floor could have been swept. Bits all over it. No tidying of bedroom or bathroom since check in and check out..

Lovely friendly staff, comfortable clean room, beautiful quiet lounge area and love how close everything was to the hotel.

There wasn't anything to adjust heating, you have to wait for radiators to come on. Also, our room was right by the top of the stairs so all you could hear when trying to sleep was the loud banging off the doors shutting.

Friendlies of the reception staff when arrived changed our room as lift was out of order so needed a ground floor room, the room was recently refurbished so was immaculate new bed ,carpet and lovely walk in shower

When going in bathroom the door was a bit tight to enter and exit had to go in the shower then open the door to exit

The room was lovely, the food excellant, special mention to the staff who were friendly, polite and went above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable and enjoyable from the receptionist Sarah to the chef, barman Sarah's son, waiter, maintenance and management !!
