-the hosts and b&b owners, Graham and Lesley, are such lovely people ! Very warm, welcoming , funny , accommodating and helpful. The moment I arrived I was offered a cup of tea by Graham - these little touches really make the difference. -the bar is great and very reasonably priced -there is a good choice of breakfasts and it's tasty and filling -the shower is excellent -the TV works -its clean -its just one road off the seafront. Very well connected for all of Torbay, either by foot, car or public transport

-there is zero criticism to give. I would definitely recommend. To be very very picky, I usually don't book hotels on main roads as I find them too noisy to sleep, but this wasn't too bad. The single room for one person is on the front of the property so if you're a light sleeper I'd consider this.

Ambassador guest house is excellent in every way. The room we had was beautiful, really comfy bed, there was plenty of tea and coffee facilities even a coffee pod machine and fridge replenished everyday with juice, milk and cola.. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good quality. Lots of choices, fresh fruit and yogurt, full English, and continental options. The location is perfect for the bus and train stations, also lots of eateries within close walking distance. I could go on and on about how great our stay was. Very good value for money. The hosts very friendly and helpful.

Where to start with this wonderful guest house. The other reviews couldn't be more right! I was given the warmest of welcomes into Paignton by Lesley. I was shown to the cosiest of rooms that was so clean and had everything i needed down to the smallest details thought through. Both Lesley and Graham are FANTASTIC hosts. The room had everything and more i could ask for and even a great coffee machine and mini fridge for the milk too. The breakfast was consistently fantastic every morning, and my whole stay was just so wonderful. I have already recommended this guest house to all my friends and family who are planning to visit Devon. Such great value for money. I will definitely be booking again ❤️ I was happy with everything. I had 5 very comfortable nights and 6 wonderful mornings here!

I had a beautiful clean room with en suite The room is well-appointed and has everything one could need. The Wi-Fi is strong and there is a vacant electric socket for charging. Breakfast is perfect with lots of healthy choices. The owner is pleasant, approachable and experienced in hotel management. Parking is available and the hotel is in a quiet but central location.

I liked everything. The hotel is maintained to the highest standards. There is nothing to fault with this hotel.

Met by friendly owners with a cup of coffee while they took my bag to my room. The room was lovely and had the added bonus of a coffee machine, oh the joys of hot chocolate in the evening. I had a cooked breakfast the first morning which was lovely but on the second day I had fruit salad which was exceptional, a proper fresh fruit salad. It is only a short walk to the shops and beach, even me with a mobility problem can manage it. There is nothing I can fault about this place and as long as my son stays in the area then I will continue to visit.

A first for me ever in a guest house; 1. Upon arrival, I was offered a cup of tea. 2. Daily, the mini fridge in my room was topped up with a bottle of fresh milk. Brilliant for lovely cups of tea. No nasty small pots of artificial milk here! ● The breakfast was hearty, delicious.and kept me 'fired up on all cylinders' for the rest of the day! It gave me stamina for my long walks along the nearby picturesque coastline. ● A quirky marine themed room, included a virtual brick wall submerged underneath a sea bed, plus a sea water level.

There was nothing to dislike.

Since Graham and Lesley took over in 2017 they have made the Ambassador very homely. They gained their Alcohol Licence this year and now have an extension to the property that houses the bar. In our room there was a small fridge, a Tassimo machine and a kettle. There was fresh milk in the fridge and fresh bottle of water placed in the room daily, along with the normal sugars and Tassimo pods which were replenished daily. In your en-suite bathroom there was little extras like cotton buds, facial wipes, small flannels, little things you may have forgotten. The main light in the room could be dimmed or turned off via remote control. Our breakfasts were cooked daily at the time we requested breakfast. There was a variety for breakfast to choose from.

I can honestly say there was nothing I didn't like that Graham and Lesley couldn't do anything about. We did have a guest in the next room that seemed to wander around at night which we could here but as I say they were also a guest.

Graham and Lesley went above and beyond to make my parents stay here was as comfortable as possible The breakfast was lovely each morning, the room immaculate and they always made sure they had enough tea,coffee,sugar and biscuits in their room. They would highly recommend a stay here.

The hosts are the most amazing hosts ever and so welcoming and friendly. They also very kind and really look after there guests including us. Breakfast is out of this world. Room is absolutely stunning. Everyone I highly recommend this accommodation and there hosts you won't regret it. Thank you so much Graham & lesley we can't thank you guys enough. Definitely coming back 😊

Fantastic hosts delicious freshly cooked breakfast lovely clean comfortable room walking distance to shops cafes bars 5 min walk to beach 5 min walk to train station and bus station just a fabulous B&B would highly recommend Graham and Leslie the hosts go out off their way to make your stay comfortable and nothing is to much for them I have stayed a few times here now and have already booked for 2024
