Despite the mixed reviews about this hotel wasn't sure what to expect, it wasn't cold and pleased windows could be opened. I had room 602 and this room had been refurbished and i was super pleased with the room size and modern bathroom as well good shelving, plenty power points, good tea tray, as well desk and sofa/chair. I'm not sure if i had been upgraded as felt like a large deluxe than a standard room. Room was ready early and receptionist checked and i was happy to wait. Breakfast was free and this was help yourself, continental and cooked buffet, plenty of choice and nice space for breakfast. Great price for 1 night, i definitely would stay again and be part of my search when i visit Nottingham.

Nothing to dislike, shame no one makes use of bar, limited in terms of what is on offer spirits and slightly expensive. Only issue was the slamming of doors from other guests.

Reception staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is in a great location.

Bed was a little uncomfortable due to the mattress having a rather large dip on one side. The room and bathroom were a little small, so I kept bumping into things. The bed and furniture were a little " Tired" looking to say the least so could do with replacing. The bar only serves one item of food, which was pizza and only one pizza at that! No other menu items are available, so it's either cheese pizza or starve to death. The buffet breakfast was good, though, with all the nice breakfast items you should expect, although it was a little expensive, price should be around a tenner then that would be great value for money.

We received a warm welcome from the manager, the room was on the 6th floor ,newly decorated,spotlessly clean and a comfy bed. The breakfast was delicious and the staff in the dining room made sure everything was hot and filled up while keeping tables clean.We were in the centre and able to access everywhere we needed, the caves, the castle the winter wonderland. The tram stop is across the road, and it cost £3 to the railway station and took 5 minutes.

Not the hotels fault but the road outside was a permanent traffic jam and lots of beeping horns and sirens at 3am. We also had a group of men on our floor who constantly went in and out of each other's rooms banging the doors each time and came back at 4am on Sunday and did not show respect to other guests!

All good with this hotel, room nice and comfortable. Had a great sleep. Breakfast was nice, not amazing, but done the job. The bar seemed to close fairly early which was disappointing as we wanted a drink when we returned back from the town. Very central to the city and has everything within a 5 to 10mins walk

Parking, there is no parking at the hotel, even though the website indicates that there is. I parked up outside of the hotel and was then told that the parking was about 5-10mins away, but you have to go round the one way system again. Had I been told that then I would have gone straight to the parking, instead of wasting my time and fuel. The parking is only 2-3mins walk to the hotel.

The location was ideal as we were visiting the theatre - so glad we could prebook the parking too - the room was a very good size, a nice temperature and reasonably comfy bed. The breakfast was lovely - even had vegetarian sausages instead of vegan/meat like which is a big bonus as so many places going with the quorn variety, which I really don't like.

The shower tray was leaking onto the floor and the extraction didn't work very well. The sofa was very uncomfortable to sit on. We could have done with the little fridge that appeared to have been removed and a couple more coffee pods would have been nice. There was some loud music until the early hours, but was expected with such a central location.

came to celebrate 3 year wedding anniversary, hotel was lovely, staff were amazing! Vicky was so lovely and helpful and accommodating in helping me store my medication in the staffs fridge which not many hotels do for me so this relieved so much stress for me and allowed me to enjoy my time away properly. Mo was also so lovely and accommodating in helping me navigate the breakfast buffet as I'm blind and she was so caring and friendly and made breakfast time a relaxing and enjoyable time; as did Rose. I highly recommend this hotel and we enjoyed a drink in the bar which was lovely and the gentleman behind the bar was so friendly and answered our questions about the bar equipment my husband was curious about so enthusiastically it was so fun.

The room was really spacious and the bed was huge and really comfortable. It was so clean and had everything you could need. The reception staff were so lovely and helpful, they couldn't do enough! The location was absolutely perfect for us, we were attending a gig at Rock City and it literally took 2 mins to walk there and back! We parked at the Q Park on Talbot Street and it was so simple and easy, plus there was a half price discount that the hotel sorts for you.

This is going to seem so trivial, but there was something about the kettle that made the tea/coffee taste really plastic. We're old and need our tea lol 😂

Absolutely loved the room, it was huge! Exceptionally clean especially the bathroom. We loved the way the tray with the kettle etc was tucked away in the cupboard. The room was very comfortable and ideal for the way it was laid out( I needed an accessible room as I'm on crutches). We are planning on going again and will definitely book a parking space again, it saved having to find a space. The staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The outside music of drum and bass until 130am, which obviously isn't the hotel's fault. The pillows were so uncomfortable that I couldn't sleep and even though I tried them in various ways I still couldn't make them comfortable, ended up abandoning the idea of sleep, mind you the headache (from the pillows) didn't help

Staff were all lovely, helpful, friendly, professional Breakfast was excellent - wide range of fresh food. Also first time I've had tea from a coffee machine where the water was hot enough! Comfortable bed - surely the most important thing for a night away. Decent sized mugs in the bedroom - a small thing but makes a difference for a tea drinker! Extremely close to the Theatre Royal, our reason for coming to Nottingham. We were given a free upgrade - our room was large, comfortable and very well stocked - including bath robes

The entrance area was tired, dark and not very attractive - quite off putting on arrival. There was a strong smell of acetone in our bedroom - this apparently came through from the nail bar below. This is the reason we couldn't mark our stay as excellent,

Room very clean with everything you need for comfort. It overlooked the city centre skyline and was superb both day and night views. The breakfast was very substantial catering for all appetites and the staff were absolutely brilliant. My next visit to Nottingham will include another stay at this same hotel as all staff were perfect and the hotel maintained to a great standard.

Nothing to report here. My entire visit to the hotel was enjoyable from check in to check out. Staff were friendly and efficient and facilities were great.
