During our trip to Cape Town we stayed 10 nights at 'Dolphin Inn Guest House'. We received a friendly welcome and our room was in tip top condition. Spacious and very neat. The bathroom was also in excellent condition. Breakfast was provided by the friendly hostess Karen. There is no shortage of travel information, you can look at numerous books and guides in the cozy reading corner with a glass of South African wine. The stay at 'Dolphin Inn Guest House' had absolutely everything we expected: good location, view of the ocean, nice atmosphere. Very friendly hostess! Definitely recommended for those who want to visit Cape Town.

The guesthouse is located in a prime location just steps from the ocean. There is a beautiful park in the back of the property and in the front is the promenade where you will see people walking and jogging. There are many food places near by within walking distance. Karen, guesthouse manager, is a wonderful lady that is very actively involved in making all her guests comfortable. I personally like the dining area which overlooks the ocean and was a gathering place for guests at the end of the day to chat with each other and unwind from their busy day. I would definitely go back to this place and highly recommend it to others.

My four night stay at Dolphin Inn Guesthouse exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hot breakfast was delicious, and the morning spread included fresh fruit, yogart, and good coffee, which were all my favorites :-). Pictures of the establishment are accurately shown. There's a beautiful view of the beach from the front window. The bedroom where I stayed offered a lovely view of Lions Head Mountain. The location is perfect with the beach right across the street, restaurants, coffee shops, V&A Waterfront, and Mojo Market, all in walking distance. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return if I'm ever in Capetown again.

The staff/managers are exceptional individuals. Very warm and welcoming. It is truly like an 'inn', except with all the modern amenities. The location is simply out of the world. Right on Beach Road, facing the beach. The waterfront is reachable by walk and the entire area is very safe (something you can't take for granted in SA) The rooms are cozy, have most of the amenities one might expect, and the common area is nice too, with a great view. Breakfast was nice and homely.

The rooms could be slightly bigger in size. If you're a couple that prefers a roomy space, you might find it a tad bit congested. But they do have different rooms of different sizes, perhaps we chose the smaller one The bathroom in our room did not have a door. Given the small size of the overall room, this posed a little bit of a privacy issue

I spent 10 nights with these 4 beautiful hostesses and hostess. If I'm somewhere for longer periods of time for work or relaxation, I don't like staying in an anonymous hotel. Dolphin is a perfect place to feel at home and be by yourself. The ambiance is good, the people are great, the breakfast without beans is a great start to the day, the rooms are neat and homely. Finally, the place is very conveniently located for exploring Cape Town. I'll be back but I don't know when yet. Frank

Super central great location near the V&A .Can walk or Uber very easily.Its a very unique building . Room 12 you can hear the wind a lot it’s Mother Nature so nothing you can do about that but maybe a front or side room wouldn’t get the cape wind as much.

Opposite the beach but without outside seating .A little later breakfast option 7-9 only . Two balcony rooms upstairs to the front of the building .We would recommend but large and more expensive .Can park outside .

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dolphin Inn guesthouse. The host's (her name is Karen) kindness and helpfulness made the experience truly exceptional. The location was perfect, allowing for easy exploration of the area. The individual breakfast was always prepared individually by Karen and was just delightful. The clean and cozy rooms made us feel right at home. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic and welcoming stay in Capetown.

I wish your business to grow bigger and one day when I visit again to find Dolphin Guest house grown from a Guesthouse to a Hotel. Thank you so much.

This place fully deserves the high reviews. - Excellent Location - right on the promenade, walking distance to the V&A Water Front, the Stadium, the Green Park, there is a stop for Red Buses nearby if you want to do any tours on them. - the vibe is very relaxed, friendly and yet efficient. The owners are wonderful people who travel a lot themselves and it is so nice to chat with them during breakfast and at other times. Other staff I met were wonderful as well. - The breakfast is fresh and cooked to order. It was a fantastic start of the day. - I had a fairly small room during my first stay which I would recommend for shorter stays only and a larger room during my 2nd stay and it was absolutely perfect. Everything works well - the wifi, shower, tea kettle. The cleaning is also done very well.

There were many electricity outages in Cape Town during early January. It was also a shock to the locals and the situation somewhat improved after mid-January.

Perfect place to start or end a roundtrip in South Africa. Perfect location with sea view from the breakfast room and just about 10 minutes walk away from the V&A Waterfront. Good restaurants for dinner in walking distance. Nice decorated rooms - very individual! We loved to have breakfast at the big table with seaview and the possibility to meet and talk to other guests from all over the world! Our host Karen did not only prepare a great breakfast but she did everything to make us feel like at home.
