It's a true oasis in the middle of Capetown, close to everything, yet quiet and relaxed in a safe neighborhood. There are only 4 rooms so it feels very cozy and private. Rooms are nice with a comfy bed and great shower. Also the terraces and pool is a plus.. Every morning there is this lovely fresh breakfast with a lot of choises. But most importantly; the staff. David & Tino make this place an 11 out of 10. And make you feel at home. Every morning we had a chat about what to do, what to see, where to eat and other things. Thank you guys for making our stay so memorable. We are coming back for sure and highly recommend it!!

We had a lovely stay at Cape Standard. Both Tino and Paddington were so helpful and always had a smile on their face. They went out of their way to help when our suitcases didn’t arrive with us and also suggested and made dinner reservations for us. The property was really peaceful, a lovely place to arrive after a long journey and rooms nice and comfy. You could walk to the waterfront (about 20 mins, only in day time) but it was also very easy and affordable to get Uber, which we did every evening we went out. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The staff of the guesthouse was just amazing. Tino is so cheerfull and always happy to assist or help in whatever way he can. Whether its to help with reservations or just some extra coffee on the room. Also the breakfast was amazing, made with care and always delicious! Also in the busy and big city of Cape Town, this just feels like a true oasis. Its so peaceful and quiet and location wise great!

the guesthouse is in a great location with on site parking and a short distance from all main attractions around Cape Town, we used Uber to also get around and most rides were only £2. the staff are amazing, very accommodating and happy to help with anything. they were also able to suggest some fantastic restaurant recommendations and make the reservations for us. we couldn’t fault the breakfast at all, it was absolutely delicious! would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

We were made to feel at home from the minute that we arrived. Paddington and David are wonderful hosts and on hand to assist at all times. Great at recommending and organizing restaurant reservations! The location is ideal for exploring, we felt very safe walking around during the day and ubers are exceptionally easy - (maybe think about having a south african sim card for your phone to avoid expensive roaming). Thank you for turning on the heating in our room in the evening ready for when we returned!

It’s perfect for people who appreciate cozy stays rather than mass tourism hotels. The bed mattress was super comfortable, the room always clean, and the hosts super kind and friendly. We felt safe and well taken care of. Good breakfast, too! And we loved how green it felt thanks to the outdoor space.

it’s like staying at a friends house. we felt like living there. very quiet, Paddington and Tino are so helpful and friendly. loved our patio/balcony at the first floor. amazing breakfast next to the pool with juice, cheese, muesli, fruits & very good bread. good location to explore the best spots in Cape Town. with Uber you are almost everywhere in 5-10 minutes.

The room was clean and tidy with a nice balcony. The property was surrounded by green trees and plants, it was very cosy place to stay in. Fresh breakfast and nice staff, especially Tino who was a good host, giving us a lot of tips and advices !

Cape Standard Guest House feels like a home away from home. The staff makes you feel very welcome and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable! The location is great and amazing breakfast. Clear recommendation from us! (Tino and Paddington, you guys are the best)

Great staff who were really helpful. Amazing little guest house - a sanctuary in the city with beautiful garden, pool and amazing breakfast. Easy parking and safe neighbourhood were also a plus!

Curtains were a little thin and let a lot of light in, making it a little difficult to sleep in, otherwise everything was perfect
