I love the personal. From the first miniute, I felt safe and welcomed - It was truly a good place to work and move around the city - The Lodge is very well located close to Long and Kloof Street and all amenities near by. With Roxy's Late Night and Maria's Greek you have two very dope restaurants across the street. The room itself was cozy and is perfect for single travelers and couples. It will get cleaned everyday by staff and on top of that - you can enjoy homemade breakfast with all your wishes. WIFI is quite strong and allows you to work easily remote!

When you have other guests staying in the room next to yours, the walls might become rather audible. I didn't have an issue with it, but it's nice to know.

The location of the accommodation is extremely good, Dunkley Square also provides entertainment in the evening, while the city center is a few minutes' walk away (during the day). The atmosphere of the rooms is great, the view of the Table Mountain from the rooms with a balcony is fantastic (not all rooms face the mountain, and they don't have a balcony either, but they are larger and have a refrigerator). The breakfast is delicious and varied, and the kindness and helpfulness of the staff is extraordinary. We'll be back!

Staff are attentive, friendly and kind. Clean and comfortable room, serviced daily. Excellent breakfast. African themed decor. Good security and not affected by power cuts/load shedding. Maria’s restaurant across the square is a very good Greek Restaurant. Roxy’s pub is also in the square which serves pub food and a great selection of drinks. You can get a good coffee and a donut next door at Grumpy and Runt during the day.

A bit of noise from the square at night but it didn’t bother us too much as it was convenient having the restaurant and pub close by. It was lively and fun vibe. Can close windows and doors to block noise.

Hotel has lots of character, it's in a neighborhood that feels local, not touristy. I loved my balcony. The breakfast was great and the staff was always happy to answer questions and provide guidance. I would definitely come back.

Some nights were really hot. There is no A/C. I think in general it's not needed, but would have been nice on one or two occasions. -There was a fan, which helped.

Very clean rooms, great facilities and customer service is of a 5 star hotel! All the staff are super helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was À la carte, very fresh and just enough to kickstart a busy day. They served an excellent selection and their omelets were super delicious! Ruth and her staff go out of their way to meet your requests.

A mini-bar/ small fridge in the room would be great! But everything else was superb!

We loved every minute az iKhaya Lodge. The staff was super friendly, room was cleaned every day perfectly. Breakfast was top and huge portions. They even remembered to our drink choices :) There is a parking lot in front of the hotel, where ot was totally safe to park our rented bar. Everything is pretty close and there is a bar in the opposite side of the park.

This has been the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. I was unfortunately mugged during my stay in Cape Town and the staff went out of their way to help in every way possible. Ruth, the manager, was so compassionate and supportive. She helped me in every possible way. I have never received customer service like this. Amazing staff, amazing manager, and amazing hotel!! They genuinely care about your experience and well being. 100% will be back again!!

Good location in the city center. Safe car park. There is a pub and a cafe at the same square, and a very good vegan venue one block away. There is also a great supermarket 5 minutes by foot. Museums and major attractions are in walking distanse. You may even walk to the trailhead to the top of the Table mountain! The view from the rooms are to the Table mountain. Very beautiful, especially at sunrise. The rooms are not big, but very well decorated. All the hotel has one clear African style. It is not posh, but very artistic. Each room has a balcony. The host is a very interesting person to talk to. Breakfast is absolutely splendid! Special thanks for the natural milled coffee sachets! That's a great solution!

There was no fridge in the room, but you may put your food in the big fridge in the kitchen.

iKhaya Lodge is located in a lovely quiet green square in the centre of Cape Town with an amazing view from the room of both the Table Mountain and Lion's head. In the same square there are a really nice pub and 2 nice cafes. The staff was truly lovely, caring and made us feel at home. Another highlight was the delicious freshly cooked English breakfast (eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast) in the morning + fresh fruit, fresh juices and tea and coffee. The double room we stayed in was really spacious and cosy with an amazing balcony/veranda. Highly recommended! We have already gone back once and would do it again! :)

The Lodge is absolutely recommend. We liked the friendly staff, the location an spacious rooms. A hidden secret in Cape Town.

We had trouble with our booked dates as we had amended our initial booking on booking.com to changed dates. This was not registered in there system. Therefore the lodge was overbooked for said dates and we had to move to another hotel for one night. This in fact was very inconvenient.
