central location for cool Kloof partying!! room spacious and nicely air conditioned. bar lounge area and pool deck are great. staff very friendly and helpful
within our the room there was a noticeable bad smell from drains. the sound proofing isn’t great so we were aware of noise from other guests till late.. it’s hard to find as entrance is not on Kloof street. actually it’s Rheede street

I enjoyed my stay here a lot. The hotel is situated in a central, lively area (where I felt safe at) with bus stops, supermarkets, a little mall, bars/cafes and many different opportunities to eat just around the corner – even though the hotel’s own restaurant is worth to stop by as well. The interior is modern and well-maintained. I had a standard double bedroom, which had everything I needed since I was by myself, but would have been a little small if I had to share with a second person. The one thing I missed was a socket in the bathroom, but that didn’t cause any further inconveniences in my case. From my side of the room, it was a bit noisy in the evenings, because there are bars just on the opposite side of the street playing music every day, but in return I was rewarded with an amazing daily view on Table Mountain and Lion’s Head. There’s a variety of options during breakfast to choose from, from pastries to fresh fruit to some hearty dishes, and even though I can be a picky eater, I had no difficulties finding something to my taste – so I can’t relate to some of those complaints. The part that made my experience the most memorable is the staff. I know how challenging and exhausting working in the hospitality industry can be, but those people were amazing. Whether at the reception, during breakfast or housekeeping, everybody was very attentive, friendly, helpful and still approached me with a welcoming attitude and a genuine smile on their face. They made me feel like being home for those days that I was able to spend in that gorgeous city.
No pool availability for a few days.

The staff were super friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The location of the hotel was great, near lots of restaurants and a short uber ride to the V&A Waterfront. The hotel has underground parking for a small fee which was really useful for us. We didn't have time to use the pool but the view of table mountain from here and our room was amazing. Would recommend to stay here.
We had initially booked a basic room but it felt small and cramped with no space for our luggage and one person would have to crawl out the bottom of the bed. We paid to upgrade and the new room was lovely and spacious. The breakfast was OK but not up to what I would have expected for this level of hotel. There was no gluten free bread and hot food on the buffet was not labelled with some dishes having cheese and gluten in them.

Pretty much everything - clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Because of a change in my travel plans, I had to leave before breakfast the next day. The staff offered to and packed me lovely breakfast. To crown it all, I discovered when I got to the airport that I had left an important personal item behind. During the day I communicated with the hotel and Micah sent me a photo of the item by WhatsApp to check if it was the correct one. When I confirmed he assured me that the item will be kept safe for me to pick up when I next visit Cape Town - and thanked me for staying at the hotel. All so wonderful.
Nothing.

My stay with this hotel is really good. 1. Staff- they are all so nice and very accommodating. I would like to give a special thanks to Micha who came with us to exchange our dollars to SA money. 2. Breakfast- it was good and I really love that they have served bacon and scrambled egg every day. 3. Room- small and basic but its fine. Bed was very comfortable to sleep in. They also have kettle in the room. My view from the room includes the Table Mountain and Lions Head. 4. Location- near to supermarket and lots of restaurant
Nothing. The noise outside was expected so I was prepared.

Our stay at Kloof Street Hotel was just wonderful. The hotel is very modern. The room was exactly what we expected and we even got lucky by being moved to a higher floor with a beautiful mountain view as requested beforehand. The bar area is very stylish while the well decorated restaurant also benefits from a very nice view on the outisde pool. The whole staff from reception to the restaurant is very friendly, helpful and professional. We stayed there for my birthday and I particularly enjoyed the little attentions I received on that day. It was very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone at Kloof Street Hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff at reception were great, especially Micah. They made me feel welcome and always had a smile on their face. And everyone at the front desk seemed happy to help. The room was spacious and fresh, the balcony was nice to have. The area around the hotel was nice, a lot of cool vintage shops, cafes and restaurants. It’s also safe enough to walk around the area as a solo female traveller. I also enjoyed the breakfast, very nice with a lot of fresh fruit available.
I would suggest leaving more coffee pods in the rooms (I asked for more but only got decaf for some reason) & focusing a bit more on cleanliness. The shower wasn’t well cleaned & there were some faded stains on the bathroom wall. Although I enjoyed breakfast, some of the staff in the restaurant often seemed a bit uninterested or in a bad mood. Huge difference to the front desk staff who were very positive. I had dinner included in my rate but skipped it one evening as the food wasn’t good and the service was quite slow - one evening I sat in the restaurant for 2h for a burger & dessert. And it wasn’t busy. As mentioned above, breakfast was tasty! I would suggest trying other restaurants in the area for dinner - a lot of tasty places around.

From the moment of our arrival, we found all the staff to be friendly, cheerful and helpful. On-site carparking was straightforward. Our room (suite) and bathroom were very spacious, with appropriate toiletries. Our amazing direct view of Table Mountain and Lion’s Head, just outside our window, was a huge treat!! The Company gardens were nearby, for a short stroll. We enjoyed an evening meal in the hotel restaurant, with live music. Breakfasts were very good, with a selection of hot and cold buffet items, yogurt, fruit, juices. coffee served by attentive staff. The hotel and restaurant seem good for families, couples and solo travellers. We did a lot of walking, sight-seeing, museum-visiting, and used Uber for short night-time journeys and occasional days, We drove ourselves further affield round the Cape, and to Kirstenbosch Garden. We enjoyed casual drinks and good meals at the V&A Waterfront. Kloof Street Hotel was excellently placed for our 6-day visit.

The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfy. The common spaces are beautifully designed. The food was delicious. The staff are super friendly and professional…they definitely go the extra mile. Jethro, Ayesha and Simba really made my stay extra special.
I don’t have a single negative thing to say.

The hotel is very well located between restaurants, bars, cafes and supermarkets and most importantly it offered safe underground parking as we were driving. We (a couple) actually stayed there for 2 brief stays in March itself - while the 1st one was OK the 2nd one was made great solely through the prompt assistance and service provided by Gabriel! There was an issue with the room on the first night of our 2nd stay but Gabriel really handled it well and ensured that instead of me giving a bad review this one turned out to be a superb one. The small rooms are really small so be aware of what you are getting, especially if you have luggage - unless you are staying briefly. However, the suites are great and we got one later which had a marvellous view of Table Mountain and was very spacious/comfortable. I will strongly consider coming back.
The design and setup of the small rooms make it very difficult to store any luggage and the bathrooms were a bit lacking in space to store toiletries.
