The hotel itself is very nice and clean, the staff is very welcoming, helpful and kind. We loved our stay here, breakfast was also super good. One day al'a carte, other they buffet. Both options was wide variety, and super delicious. Bathroom was huge, we loved it!!

Pool area is super small, its rather "dipping pool" not a proper swimming pool, there are no sunbeds either, just chairs and tables, because it is part of the bar/restaurant area. No plower outlets near mirror.

The Royal Elephant Hotel is a perfect choice for any type of visit whether it is business, conferences, family or any other specific need. Professional staff, excellent cuisine, spacious rooms, nice dining rooms and decor that has a royal touch to it. I will visit The Royal Elephant Hotel again and again.

Loadsheding, and the generators that kicked in was a nuisance, but unavoidable. We got used to it.

I booked this Hotel for my children from the farm in KZN. They were there for the Mexican Fest. Location was perfect. The decor of the Hotel is beautiful. Rooms were clean. Beds very comfortable. They enjoyed their stay.

For people who come far I think they must maybe change the book in time to 14H00. Also, they were not informed of any breakfast or breakfast time. So, the missed breakfast :(

Size of rooms, decor, comfort. The small extras that you no longer get in most hotels were provided, ie sewing kits, shower caps. Bathroom was luxurious.

Restaurant staff were inattentive. Rooms are not sound proof. There were maintenance issues in the room - safe not working, lights flashing on and off in the bathroom but they were fixed immediately on request.

The day spa was exceptional. The food was delicious. Rooms were very spacious. The bathroom was spacious, and I really liked the setup. The surroundings were very relaxing.

The air-conditioning can be upgraded. Extra blankets can be added to the room during winter.

Special mention for Patience from Zagora in-house restaurant; I'd caught a cold the day before my stay and she kindly arranged a ginger, lemon and honey infusion to be taken to my room on both evenings I had dinner there. This was very helpful and much appreciated.

The fact that I wasn't told when I booked that the breakfast allowance included in the bed & breakfast package was only ZAR125 per day.

I’ve been at royal for more than 5 times , most of the time I would book at the reception. All the rooms i had where very beautiful, but my stay in room 21 wS magical, i love thst room.

My last stay, they didn’t offer water as per usual, I guess they forgot

The overall experience was very good. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. the room was fantastic. breackfast was also superb.

My wife suffers from allergies and something in our room triggered an attack, but I couldn't say what is was that caused the attack, so this may be a bit of an unfair comment.

Overall the hotel is excellent in all aspects. Was very impressed with the staff and especially the team at the restaurant where we had breakfast. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and provided specially prepared food to cater for our halaal requirements.

Having to check out and come home!!

The room was spacious and modern with good decor.The staff was friendly and efficient.

The TV had limited options.There was no Netflix or other streaming options.The windows are not sound proof and the traffic on the busy main road was a disturbance.
