Beautiful place nice location clean and good value for money

The service at the Restaurant was not good we were hoping for room service for our dinner and no one answered the call. The guy at the reception also called on our behalf no answer. I also paid extra fee to extend my time of checkout when I returned from the restaurant for breakfast my room was locked towels removed yet my belongings were still there meaning I hadn't checked out as I paid extra fee to extend my time.

Cold water in the shower...didn't really get a clear explanation as to why.

The view was great to wake up too... very spacious for 2 people. Beds and the comforter are so comfortable

The fact that were no fridge to store our colddrinks and that the pool closed way too early as the activities were planned ended way to late for us to enjoy the pool

Had the breakfast buffet for the first time -wasn’t impressed. Bacon not cooked well, limited sides , juice not fresh and waiters not attentive

The room was even better than the 5-star new hotel up the road, spacious and exceptionally clean, with all the facilities you could possibly need.

The cleaning staff did not knock and just walked into the room, even though there was a DND sign on the door. The aircon/heater was not working when we got there, and even though they fixed it by the next day, 1 night in Durban's humidity, without an aircon, was not great, and we didn't sleep much - recommendation to the management: get cleaning staff to check all equipment is working everyday, it's a small thing but it will go a long way.

The hotel is clean, luxury and nice room with great view of the Ocean. There's also a rooftop where you can see nice buildings and ocean. The area is generally safe to walk around at night, Umhlanga rocks has nice restaurants and bars. Umhlanga beach is nearby and it's very nice beach with life guards around. Tge place is also 5 minutes from legacy yard and ocean mall. It's also close to gateway mall. Their breakfast was amazing with nice view of the ocean on the restaurant.

The fact that the hotel is centrally located and the staff are friendly

The fact that the room did not have a mini fridge so we could not keep our beverages or takeaways. Housekeeping kept knocking at our door every 3 hours, at one point they said they want to knock off and when will we be up so they can clean. 24 December and 27 December, housekeeping let themselves in while we were asleep and only announced themselves when the door closed. What if we were being intimate? Even with the "Do Not Disturb" sign housekeeping was problematic in knocking

Staff was nice. The rooms were clean.

Rooms were smaller than expected. Aircon close to bed, makes it difficult to have it on while sitting on the bed

The safety. Not many staff or security personnel visible . The car park seems extremely unsafe . There's is no boom gate or security. Any1 can enter .we drove 5 floors up , couldn't find our way into the hotel , no1 to ask , no security, no staff , no1 to assist with luggage
