Our stay at Meerendal Boutique Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The garden suite we chose was spacious, elegantly furnished, and meticulously clean, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by two small bottles of complementary Meerendal wine in the room—a brilliant touch that also served as a thoughtful marketing opportunity. We will definitely opt for the garden suites again. The hotel features two onsite restaurants, each offering a unique and amazing culinary experience. The dining room with its woodburning fireplace created a perfect atmosphere, and despite its popularity with locals, the restaurant never felt crowded. The waitstaff were knowledgeable about local wines and provided excellent recommendations for food pairing. Service throughout our dining experiences was outstanding—prompt, friendly, and attentive. Located conveniently on the Durbanville wine route, the hotel allowed us to explore the area without the hassle of city center traffic. Overall, our two-night stay at Meerendal Boutique Hotel exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The combination of luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and strategic location along the Durbanville wine route made it an outstanding choice for our visit. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and comfortable stay.

There was absolutely nothing to 'not like' about this venue.

Loved the beds and pillows, the secluded garden in the sun, the coffee machine in the room, the welcome bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, the food in the restaurants, and the wine. Heritage Block Pinotage 2016, you need this bottle in your life.

Whilst the room was superb there was a very slight smell. This could be easily removed with an air freshener.

We stayed in one of the Garden Suite Cottages and were pleasantly surprised at how luxurious the rooms are! We were spoilt with complimentary wine in our room, a Nespresso machine with pods and bottled water! These extra touches upon arrival immediately made us feel special & welcomed. The bed, pillows and linen are of the highest quality and made us feel like royalty to say the least. The safe in the cupboard was carefully thought out as its size is large enough to accommodate a laptop too.. this was again an extra bonus! We enjoyed the use of our minibar fridge in the room. As for the rest - we loved the convenience of walking across to the restaurants. Had dinner at LaRomantica and highly recommend it! Food & Staff were excellent 👌🏻 We visited the Chocolatier - COCOAFAIR (which is on-site) and indulged ourselves in these delicious handcrafted chocolates and truffles made from the finest cocoa beans (all are palm oil free!) Wine tasting was up next! Beautiful cozy wine tasting room and staff super helpful. The Pinotage was our favourite! We had breakfast at the other restaurant on-site, Bossa. Also a wonderful experience!

We had the most wonderful time. there are 2 restaurants on site and we had the most terrific food, very scrumptious. wine on site also very very good. so close to all the other wine farms for visits. running trails and bike trails on this farm for the exercising which we didnt manage due to so much else to do. The staff at Meerendal were absolutely wonderful and a super star who should be mentioned is your GM Michelle who went out of her way to assist us constantly. We were very comfortable and would highly recommend this to all including our friends and family. This farm is wonderful. The spa on site is very good also and the new deli and chocolate shop. You cannot leave without a few extra kg's and that was both in suitcase and on our person ...thank you Meerendal team for the exceptional service. we will be back

Amazing location between the vineyards Super friendly and accommodating staff both in the hotel and the restaurants Complimentary wine Peace and tranquillity Hiking and biking Trails available Food was amazing at both restaurants and the Chocolate Deli Awesome wine pairing experience. Overall this was the best Hotel I stayed at during my visit to the Cape.

Just a note to update the signs on the hiking trail as we ended up going in a circle If there is anything that would make this hotel more exceptional, I would have wished it had a swiming pool for guests as the area is quite hot and they certainly have the space to do so in front of the manner house.

First of all.. i think i left with one of your hand mirrors... definitely was still going to call if you missing one as i was sure i took my own. the shower was amazing... i would have liked a healthier snack option or opportunity to purchase even - in the room the room was beautifully dark which i wasnt expecting the manageress was souper efficient and friendly thank you... would be nice to even have a simple breakfast option at the boutique hotel vs having to go to Bossa if we had wanted to stay... just a thought.

The room was very comfortable and clean. Having two restaurants on site was an added bonus.

My only complaint. On Saturday, it was exceptionally cold and windy. I was standing outside waiting for an Uber with my 9 year old son. I politely asked the guard on duty if we could just stand slightly in the guard house just to shield ourselves from the elements while we wait. He abruptly said no and was very rude about it. I understand that they have protocols in place, but had I not been with my son, I would not have asked. However, another guard who had just knocked off was exceptionally kind and helpful and even went the extra mile to try and help us get a ride as we had been struggling to get an uber at the time. I did not get his name, but I do appreciate the level of kindness he showed towards us as opposed to the guard who was on duty at the time.

Beautiful setting and great attention to detail. They set up a roll out stretcher for our toddler as the sleep couch room was not available. Complimentary bottles of wine and water in the house, chocolates on the pillows, Nespresso machine, TV was playing classical music when we arrived. Also a complimentary wine tasting. Really loved our one night stay.

Only down side was that room was not exactly the one that I booked in the pictures so there was no stove in the kitchen or sleeper couch in the lounge. We were happy though.

We loved the location—it’s a beautiful farm with stunning surroundings. The room and bathroom were spotless and very well-maintained. On a cold and rainy day, it was a delight to find the room already warmed up for us. The on-site restaurants are a convenient bonus, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely return.

The rooms are lovely and clean. The restaurants have amazing menu and the food was delicious.

The walkways to restaurants are uncovered so, if there's inclement weather, it's going to be a pretty uncomfortable trek. The rooms didn't feel safe for a woman traveling alone. The safety catch on my door was broken. It's also pretty difficult to lug your luggage to the rooms and there were no porters available. The young lady at reception offered to help but I just couldn't bring myself to let her so I did it myself.
