The hotel was close to the Mall of Africa. The room was very clean and comfortable. We asked for mini fridge, extra duvet and iron, which were all received in a timely manner. Most of the staff were helpful and friendly. The airport transfer were on time and friendly.

Out of the 3 sockets available only one was modern and we had 2 different phone adaptors which made it difficult to charge our phones. Also, there are no sockets near the beds. Our room phone could not make calls, even local. When we asked the reception, the lady was rude and did not provide any recourse for us to make a local call. Most of the gym equipment did not work. They also have electricity down time which turns the AC ON and OFF at night, so you can imagine the rest.

The breakfast was good, I was very pleased by it. The location was great, we were able to walk to the Mall of Africa. The facilities and staff were awesome.

Really not much. Somethings are out of control like loadshedding. When that happens, it was nice to still have power, even though the aircons do not work during this time. As they consume lots of electricity and are a nice to have, this is completely understandable. My only criticism would be, you could have bigger TVs with a greater selection of DSTV channels.

The restaurant menu was less than exciting. Medium Steak was properly dead. Couldn't access my room because my dinner and laundry exceeded R500 - had to go settle my account at 11pm after a long day - a frustrating experience (especially given that all these places have our credit card details anyway). Nevertheless, i have rebooked and would stay again... But i prefer to eat out.

Excellent breakfast and dinner. Well located to the planned destinations for entertainment, health checks, and malls.

TV entertainment channels are always stuck in some channels: no international channels for additional updates, e.g., BBC, CNN, and Sky News. And no channel informing various valued-added tourist sites around.

City Lodge offers a variety of foods for breakfast which makes it easier to choose from based on my appetite for that day. The food is amazing, the pork ribs are so good they could convert a zionist! Amazing location with easy access to the mall and central to so many cool places around. The security guys at the gate are amazing as well, shoutout to Tebogo!

Breakfast was good and location seemed to be perfect for everyone around JHB, PTA and Centurion. The friendly staff service during breakfast was exceptional.

The shower head was not spraying evenly with some larger drips in between, it is minor but would be nice for it to have functioned better.

I would have loved to have breakfast at hotel. will surely do next time. i also would like to appreciate the staff for organizing my partner a fruit platter, chocolates and a sweet bday message. the Staff was very welcoming, hotel room was clean as well as the sheets the location was also great, it it close to all the places we wanted to visit

The facility is within 3 minutes' walk from the Mall of Africa, 7 minutes' drive to Gallagher Estate and next to the N1 for quick and easy access. The food at the hotel was excellent and in overall a good and pleasant stay with very helpful personnel around every corner.

The views from the third floor during the night or even early in the morning! It’s so easily accessible and right next to the mall! Always clean and with excellent staff, the ladies at reception will make you want to stay for a couple more days because of their service!

Nothing at all! I love this place, it was my fourth visit now

When I booked on Booking.com when I arrived they told me that they would still check if there are rooms available, even after the booking was confirmed. Why confirm a booking if there is a risk that there could be no rooms available after I have travelled so far? Please fix your real time booking services or communication streams as I nearly had to sleep outside on the road. You have a very nice hotel but if the online bookings are subject to changing based on moody receptionists, then you are headed for disaster. Please fix this asap.
