It was loadshedding while I was here in the evening but it was such a beautiful property so I had an awesome walk and explored the forest. When electricity came back on everything worked perfectly and room was lovely. Breakfast was so generous, I hardly could finish any of the many courses. Also I love that there are lots of pets around to love.

I would have liked to stay longer, I didnt get to walk and swim as much as I would if I wasnt staying for work. The host was also really interesting. Make time to chat with them and hear what they are up to on the property if you get to stay here.

We received a warm welcome since we checked in and received every morning delicious breakfast. Owners very friendly and willing to help and assist where possible. Neat place, very calm atmosphere and relaxing. Good place to excape from busy life.

Our room didn't come with microwave / kitchen set up which made it a bit difficult if you wanted to heat something but owners where very helpful and let us use their microwave to heat our snacks/food so not n probleem at all.

My mom and I needed a little time out, far from the Madding crowd… ECM delivered peace, quiet and tranquility, together with fresh air, the sounds of birds and whispering trees. We loved the expanse of the gardens and the feeling of being out in the country, yet in reality, just a short drive from Plett and Knysna made this place the perfect location for our sabbatical. Our rooms were comfortable, clean and had every we needed allowing us to just chill. It must be said though, by far, our favourite part of our stay, were the incredible breakfasts, prepared and served by our gracious host, Nick, he’ll deny it of course, but he has a way with food… honestly, the best 4 breakfasts I can remember eating. The staff were gracious and helpful, and the overall feel of the place, was home away from home, without any of the cares of home... I plan to return as often as I can.

We had a lovely stay at Edenbrook Manor, our hosts were very friendly and kind. We had delays in arriving due to roadworks and Nick was very accommodating. He met us and showed us to our room even though it was after dark. The property is so beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast is generous and delicious, and the home baked bread is delightful! We can’t wait to visit again.

- We had the classic king room, which is in a wooden building. There were other guests just above our room and you could hear every step and noise. If we would stay again we would ask for a room on the second floor. - Room felt a bit dark (potentially rooms on second floor are brighter)

Nick, the host, went out of his way to make our stay with our baby daughter more comfortable. They even made her a special breakfast. The breakfast offers a wide variety and is tasty! It is well located between all the tourist attractions, Knysna and Plett. It was super easy to find as well as it is located next to the N2. If you are looking for friendly service, clean comfortable rooms with everything you need and large beautiful gardens ideal for kids to play on then look no further. And the grounds has cycling and walking trails too. The rooms truly has everything that you will need and many extras that we were pleasantly surprised by. Edenbrook Country Manor is a gem and it is definitely worth stopping at when you are in the area. Value for money is an understatement. I am looking forward to our next visit and to see the progress on the many improvements Nick is planning.

Park, Main building and the breakfast. The staff was extremely kind

the presentation of the rooms on the booking.com website…it should be more clear, what different room options there are. For me it looked as if even the cheaper rooms were in those little stone cottages as well. But it is not the fault of the guesthouse but of booking com. Our stay in the wooden house was good but my expectations where others. But the overall stay was very nice due to the staff and the rest of the property. We will come back, but I will then book a room in the garden cottages.

The breakfast was very good. Appreciated that it was prepared by the owner himself. Peaceful and tranquil setting in the country. Very serene and vast landscape, a beautiful location if you love being in a forest setting especially if you have pets who love exploring the outdoors. Loved the large space of the cottage especially the shower. Very comfortable and modern finishing's made the stay feel like home.

The cottage we stayed at was very newly refurbished but somewhat incomplete. It did not have a kitchen sink/basin and therefore no crockery . This was obviously still in the process of being installed as the fixtures and fittings could be seen inside the cupboards. The WIFI was not the greatest. It was slow with poor internet connectivity, we had to use our own mobile wifi. There was no adequate back-up lighting or inverter/generator installed to accommodate the load-shedding. Inadequate road signage and directions to the location/property found us driving on 2-3km of dirt road until we called the owner and found out we were at the wrong location. It appeared that this was a common occurrence with guests but nothing was really being done about it.

Everything. Nick and Linda were lovely hosts, the breakfasts were beautiful and delicious. They paid close attention to every little thing. I know it might seem small or insignificant but I loved how they picked up on my dislike of tomatoes and made it a point to not add them on my plate. We were upgraded to the Executive suite which was also lovely.

Edenbrook Manor is run by Nick Singer who tecently purchased the property. He is renovating and bringing Edenbrook back to new heiights. We only stayed for one night but had a easy check-in. The property is on a estate and has quite a number of rooms. There are also self catering cottages on the edge of the forest with their own wood fired hot tubs. (Definitely coming back for a weekend here). Room was clean and the linen was good quality. Breakfast was superb. A selection of cereals, muffins, Fresh fruit salad, yogurts. Hot food was eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms. Fresh coffee and juices. We went for a beautiful walk in the forest on the property. Definitely value for money and a hidden gem.
