Extremely beautiful hotel with an outstanding view over Plettenberg and very friendly staff! This hotel outperformed our expectations. The view on the ocean from our suite would blow our mind! I would recommend to get up early and watch the sunrise. The room was clean, beautifully arranged, well-equipped (they really thought of everything) and very spacious. Especially the bed, was very wide and very comfortable. The staff was extremely kind & helpful and the breakfast arrangement plus the view was fantastic. We would definitely recommend the suite, it is absolutely worth every cent. We were even invited to have a welcome drink on the beautiful porch. Definitely one of the best hotels during our four-week stay in South Africa! Wish we would have stayed longer.

The location is excellent view over Plettenberg Bay. Very big room with modern design. Nice garden. Very good breakfast. Check-in process was thorough. Wifi was good.

Only two issues in this location, which makes me give a rating of 9 and not a 10. The parking is quite small for the number of guests, this forces people to manoeuvre quite a bit. And fortunately the lodge was not full. The second issue is that due to powercuts (called euphemistically load shedding in SouthAfrica) we had no light from 10 to 12 pm in the room. We know that other hotels have solved the problem with inverters, this is not acceptable for an expensive location as this.

We chose well when we stayed at La Vista. Great views, wonderful breakfast, charming staff and secure off-street parking Would definitely stay here again.

We were two friends so needed two beds - perhaps the other rooms may have been nicer. I felt that our room was a little "tired". The footstool upholstery and the curtains were a bit stained. the blinds in the bathroom need an update. Things were clean but I did mention to the staff that, it looked like the cleaner had been interrupted during the bathroom clean, as the laundry basket of dirty towels had not been emptied nor the garbage can. Otherwise our towels were fresh and the bathroom clean. My friend Arlene owns Arlene's Pools in Plett and I think she could make the pool look alot cleaner and more inviting.

Said they had a drinks bar on site to be then told no longer have this licence has been taken off us so booking.com needs to be updated given very minimal info on arrival by host breakfast terrace above room awaken at 7am everyday by the moving of furniture from upstairs for breakfast. Tv was old and had problems getting it to work we have stayed at a lot nicer places for a lot cheaper think it is over priced for what you get

The views were breathtaking, loved the location as everything was in a 10-15min distance. The staff was friendly and so welcoming, great with recommendations and the breakfast was outstanding. It really felt like a home away from home.

They definitely need to be better prepared for cold weather. There were no blankets available, only a quilt that didn’t quite get the job done when loadshedding hit and the heater couldn’t be used. Also getting generators would be helpful since the stages are getting worse.

There are so many great things about La Vista Lodge. The view is incredible and the pictures don't do it justice. We were in the upstairs room, and having the balcony/deck was lovely. The room is a really good size, the bed very comfortable and soft. The linen was also fabulous. Very good shower and the size was brilliant. I loved the small touches of the extra toiletries - the shower gel, wipes, tissues - Very nice touch and outside of the usual BnB. The breakfast was fabulous too, both days. The portions are huge and the food is delicious. The eating area with the view just completes the whole experience. All the staff were brilliant and I loved that we were able to borrow swim/ beach towels and umbrella for the beach. La vista definitely exceeded my expectations, and as our first time visit to Plett, i have no doubt we will be back.

If i have to nit pick on one thing, the ants in our room were quite intense. There were loads of them and i wasn't crazy about them getting into the bed. But they're ants, and understandably quite difficult to control.

Room was spacious with good facilities except for lack of a corkscrew. Clean and comfy bed. Small balcony and reasonable view. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good on a pleasant terrace. Good sized pool and loungers. We were able to borrow chairs,umbrella and towels to take on the beach.

Hotel is situated quite a way from centre so it was important to us that the property had a restaurant. However it wasn’t operational because the chef had left suddenly which was a huge inconvenience. They could at least have let us know

The rooms are well equipped and a lot of thought has gone into providing everything one needs, even gowns to use. The breakfast was excellent and beautifully served .The staff are amazing and friendly, without being intrusive. Security is great. On top of that there is that beautiful view.

Parking is adequate but a little tight when there are multiple vehicles. Having to leave....
