Hotel 8 Hours

Excellent stay in Hotel 8 hours in central Seoul! Excellent host Don speaks great English/Thai. He was very helpful about recommendations using the Naver App as google doesn't work well in Seoul! The hotel is on the second floor, nested among many restaurants, convenience stores, 2 mins from airport bus stop, Namdaemon Market, Myeong Shopping District, near City Hall subway exit 6 and pre booked tours meet here. Air conditioning, tv, showers were good pressure with 2 modes, small and big shower head with small and medium towels each day. Expresso (free coffee) machine, hot and cold water dispenser. You can borrow a giant umbrella for rainy days. Great budget stay in central Seoul with kind and caring hosts!

The room had a small window. It could do with more electrical sockets.

It's one of the best hotels I've ever been to ! All the staff is so nice, super friendly, speak perfect English. They would ask us how were our day trips, or they'd advised us on more practical routes or good places to visit... The room is wide and confortable. The location is amazing, 5mn walk from city hall station and ~15mn walk to myeongdong station. A lot of restaurants and cafe around. It is located in the center of Seoul so all touristic spots are close. And the price is really affordable. I would totally recommend it to anyone planning a trip in Seoul !

This was my second time staying at this hotel and it was still as good as before! There was a few different people at the reception and all the staff were really nice and accommodating! I book the twin bunk bed room and there is enough space to store 4 big luggages (23kg each). It was very clean, they come and change your trash and towels everyday. Very safe even if you’re a solo traveler. The bathroom is clean and the shower and toilet (it has a bidet!!!) are in the room but separated which is really nice. The size of the room overall is just a little bit on the smaller side but I didnt mind :).

Nothing, everything went well.

The room was clean and the check-in was quick and seamless. They were also kind enough to give me an early check-in. It is in the middle of a food district with a local market nearby so you have plenty of options to choose from for dinner, as well as a corner store at the end of the street. The gentleman at the front desk spoke perfect English and was very kind about my poor attempts at Korean. The hotel is fully air conditioned which was definitely needed on this summer day.

The property was difficult to find (the street sign blends in well and I walked past it twice before I found it) and the closest train station (City Hall) has stairs only. If you need an accessible place to stay, the interior is fine but you will have trouble with the very front entrance which is only stairs. Fair warning: Power is connected through your room key which, while generally fine, means that your fridge turns off when you leave your room. I could also only find one power point.

Excellent location - 5 mins away from City Hall lines 1 and 2, 8 minutes away from Myeongdong via a small alley. Fresh towels provided every day and the bathroom cleaned, but the beds and room itself weren't made/cleaned. Staff spoke excellent English and provided free umbrellas to use when it rained.

It's true - soundproofing is poor in this hotel. I'm a heavy sleeper so it wasn't too much of a problem. Unit inside the room is only a heater, alright for the cool spring nights but might be an issue during the summer.

There was a fridge in the room, an adapter in the room for charging stuff. The hotel was located near to the Palaces and City Hall The staff were very helpful and polite. They supplied water. Very close to the market too. Room size was OK for me as a solo but don't know if I could've coped with another person. I took a cab from Seoul Station for about KRW7000 which was good as wasn't sure I woulf have found it on first try.

You can walk from Myeongdong and there are many restaurants nearby, so you don't have to worry about what to eat.

The room is compact with a glass-enclosed toilet and a shower without a space for changing clothes, so relationships with people in the same room are important. There was no light meal such as cup noodles in the lobby that was explained in the hotel. can drink coffee and water

I loved that it's conveniently around lots of stores and eateries and that the staff was really nice and welcoming. The pillows were soft and they give you umbrellas to use in case it's raining. The room was comfortable enough and there was a tv that worked.

Its not very good if you have too many suitcases as it's a good eight minute walk from the exit. The rooms could use an upgrade as the walls seem to have water damage and were peeling a bit. at night if you don't keep the aircon on, there will be a smell coming from the bathroom. Also i think the housekeepers could do a little better at cleaning the showers and beds. The beds are also a bit hard but not unbearable.

The location was excellent—close to the subway and easy walking distance from many popular tourist locations, and right in the heart of a neighborhood full of good restaurants. The main host/front desk clerk was also friendly, attentive, and personable.

The room was perfectly adequate but definitely 'no frills.' There were significant cosmetic signs of age in the hotel room (water damaged paint on walls and ceiling).

It was close to City Hall subway station, so great if coming in on the metro or using it during your stay. The friendly and helpful staff answered all my questions about traveling and sightseeing in the area. Clean room with mini-fridge for keeping your water and snacks cold. There was a small common area/lobby by reception with tea and coffee making facilities plus a water cooler. The entryway isn't huge, down an alley, but there's a lift to the second floor. It was great for a budget hotel stay.
