Everything! this is a really great hotel, it might not be centrally located but it makes up by the cleanliness, the nice staff, the comfy bed and the great shower! not sure about how it looked before but the room that we've been at looks really modern, and the entire the hotel is the same (the lobby, the pool, the corridors, we didn't go to the restaurant so can't comment on that) the airco works really good.

there isn't really anything to not like, but If I can think of one thing is that on our room when you opened the window you could hear a kindergarden / school (I think) with a lot of kids yelling / talking loud, but that really didn't bother us and if you close the window you can't hear anythinh

Location is outside core downtown area. If you want the madness of Las Ramblas this isn't for you. Downtown is 15 minutes on the subway. A/C works well. Hotel is in the modern style - like a Moxy or an Archer. Hardwood floors, no doors on cupboards etc. If you want a 1980's marriott experience this isn't for you. Beach is E10 in a taxi, walkable (30 mins) if you feel heroic. Neighborhood is a place where BCN locals live. Cafe/Bar/Restaurant prices are very reasonable.

No way to plug a HDMI cable into the TV, so we were stuck with Spanish TV or Netflix on a laptop. Doesn't have a bar, but this is forgivable - neighborhood is full of them. Got 2 single beds next to each other instead of a double. Would probably have been fixed if we'd complained.

This was my first visit to Barcelona and I selected Arcelon Hotel (thru Booking.com) because of the proximity to Sagrada Familia (20min. walk). The hotel turned out to be better than expected: It's a quick walk to Sagrada Familia and many other locations and the room was larger than expected with 3 twin beds and a balcony. A bonus was the large bathroom with a generoous rainfall shower. Check In/Out was easy and the hotel staff were all super friendly.

My room was on the backside of the hotel where directly behind is a school yard. The first weekday morning I did not have my balcony door closed completely because the sound of school children at recess was very loud. The second weekday morning was better once the balcony door was completely closed.

There was nothing not to like.

The room was always on good temperature and was nice and clean. All luxery of a hotel was present. After a day away, it was nice to cool off in the hotel room. The beds are also comfertable and the shower.... thats amazing. Also the roof zwimmingpool was very nice!

The hotel room has a view on other buildings, that was a little disapointing. Also, there is some kind of school beneath the hotel rooms with loud children. An orher disadvantage is the location of the hotel, touristic areas are a little bit further away

A great place to stay in Barcelona! Brand new, very clean and comfortable. Very safe neighbourhood. Lots of walking areas around. La Sagrada Familia reachable within a walking distance. Metro/Train station 10 min. on foot (direct connection with the airport Barcelona el Prat). Small supermarket just next door. Delicious Italian pizza round the corner. Friendly staff. And there is a swimming pool on the top floor! We'll sure be back! :)

The hotel was lovely and clean, with a really good sized room, and excellent walk in shower. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Welcome glass of cava on arrival was a great touch! The hotel is a little out of the centre, but the nearest Metro station was only 5 minute walk away, plenty of bus stops around and Sagrada Familia was a straightforward 25minute walk, so easy to get to anywhere you needed without hassle.

We were a little delayed on check in as our room wasn't ready yet, which made us a little rushed for a tour we had booked later that afternoon. The wifi also seemed a little slow at times, even though the signal was strong. But wifi still worked fine and our room was lovely so these are very much a minor niggles rather than real issues.

The breakfast was average, but the food was fresh and tasty. The staff was perfect and respectful. The room was far more comfortable. The location is quite and charming.

Lack of sausages, salmon, omelet was precooked, Poor choice of veggies. We evidenced empty spots of whole grain toasts and hard boiled eggs twice out of four. Anyway all this shortcomings were neutralized by kind attitude of staff. No coffee machine in rooms, even in upgraded ones. The air conditioning system was full of dust.

You can expect all goof stuff from hotels which is newly opened!;clean,fab interior design,good cleaning everyday,helpful reception staffs.This hotel has a small pool on the roof top and breakast is so good with €15 per person like a full buffet breakfast! Location is not in the central Barelona but all possible to get major sightseeing venues within 30mins by walking,buses or metro.

Strange payment system:Why Booking.com let hotels request payment by hotels sending seperate payment link email to the guests? When booking is confirmed after payment page with my creit card I thought all paid but hotel sent me a message ;You will recieve a payment link and I had paid slightley more than Booking.com hotel fees.
