Intimate small/medium sized hotel in an absolutely magnificent location for exploring Barcelona. The room was very comfortable, with excellent facilities and an enormous double bed. Our room contained an outside terrace overlooking a large courtyard. The breakfast (served each morning til 11am!) was superb, buffet style with hot and cold food, and really set you up for the rest of the day. There was a lounge area off the breakfast room where you could use a computer, or read from a variety of local interest 'table' books, or simply take a coffee or other hot drinks for free. There is an outside terrace room, tastefully furnished, where you could relax or take your breakfast on warmer days! The location of the hotel is wonderful, a 5-6 minute stroll into Placa Catalunya, and a similar stroll to 3 different Metro stations. We found a restaurant 'Mussol' on the stroll to Placa Catalunya, it was so good, reasonably priced and with loads of atmosphere that we ate there each night of our stay (5) tasting our way through an excellent and varied menu. The staff at the hotel were always courteous, cheerful and helpful with advice.

Absolutely nothing to dislike!!!

Location is definitely the great plus of this hotel, close to the action yet in a rather calm street. There is a school or youth club courtyard on the back which gets very noisy during the day, but the double glazing windows are very effective, and the courtyard is completely empty at night and on Sundays. We actually liked this setup a lot, it felt really connected to the locals' way of life, and our balcony was quite large. The room is exactly as it is on the pictures. The bed is comfy although not a single large bed, and the hotel is super quiet at night. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely consider coming back. One interesting and unseen before architectural detail: there are two interlocked staircases that actually stop at every floor (normally this design goes every two floors).

No blackout curtains, but the existing ones did the job. Also, we prefer a shower rather than a shower in a bathtub (although the tub looked great), and the small step gets slippery on the way out - use the handles!

great location within 10 minutes walk of the airport bus stop. within easy walking distance of many of the principal sights. terrific choice at breakfast. free coffee available all day. free reliable wifi. very friendly people working in the hotel. i enjoyed my time there.

if i was being super critical i could have done with a bit more space in my room but as i was travelling as a single person and it was a city centre hotel i would rate the room size as adequate but not spacious.

Room was clean, quiet, comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Common area had a nice ambiance with many plants and books about Barcelona. Good location and friendly staff. Good coffee available all day.

The TV had no English speaking stations such as BBC nor was there the ability to play shows originally filmed in English with the Spanish dubbing turned off. We stayed three nights and don’t understand why we paid more for Tuesday and Wednesday than we did for Monday.

Lovely staff greeted us on arrival and whenever we left the hotel! Massive bed with plenty of plug sockets for charging. Very kindly given early check in and before that somewhere to put ours suitcases

If you have a balcony facing the inner courtyard, it can be quite noisy during the day (and evening) due to it being a schools basketball courts and the restaurant with live music We were booked during Sant Jordi so on the Friday we were awoken to a microphone, music and screaming children (we didn’t mind but might not be for everyone) Not many toiletries supplied but that’s personal preference No lock on the toilet door and big window looking into the bathroom from the bed (there is a blind you can use for the window but we were not a big fan of this)

excellent location, close to the metro and bus stops. Not far from plaza Catalunya and the famous la Rambla. There is a good restaurant nearby too.

a terribly small room and an even smaller bathroom. Even the sink had to be placed in the room because there was no space for it in the bathroom. Window on the patio, quite dark. Perhaps other rooms are larger and brighter. You can survive one or two nights, but longer stays are a challenge.

Loved the location, near passeig de Gracia, 5 minutes from el Corte, near restaurants and walking distance to many other restaurants, shops, gothic area, cathedral, born area, rambles, etc. It was a simple no frills hotel.

The size of the rooms were small. The staff was too stoic when communicating with me so I couldn't tell if I was bothering them when I was asking for information etc.

The room was very good but compared to others of similar rating, it was not excellent. Other hotels of similar rating have toiletries, toothpaste, etc. to hand in the room, along with slippers and towels. The breakfast spread was fantastic and the trust bar, along with the beautiful outdoor terrace were pleasant additions. All of the tourist attractions were in easy walking distance.

The noise from the school below could be off putting for some travellers as the football practice went on until 2200. This wasn't an issue for us, but may put other travellers off.

Location is excellent. Staff are very friendly. Arrived a bit early and was able to check in no problem. Luggage safely stored on day of departure plus use of lounge, coffee and wash rooms later before departure to airport. Water, coffee, safe, fridge- all present in room. Room decent size. Breakfast was delicious. A super variety of local produce. Really fantastic breakfast. What more can one want. It was ideal. Thank you.

I highly recommend this hotel. It super exceeds my expectations. You should include breakfast when you book because it was the best breakfast I ever had. The ambience in the hotel breakfast area and the patio is absolutely amazing
