Universal Hotel Castell Royal

I really liked the area but it's a personal preference. It was not as touristic as around Palma and was much quieter but I can understand some people could find it a bit boring. I definitely preferred this smaller beach in the vicinity of a few hotels and mountain villas rather than a city beach. You can find a few bars/restaurants at the beach and a few local shops and restaurants around. The room size was sufficient for two, and the balcony view on the sea was great. The hotel opted for eco friendly solutions which is very positive (own refillable natural cosmetics, water refill stations, towel change policy). To get from the airport to the hotel, you can book a bus service provided by the hotel. There is a local bus nearby which can get you to a few places alongside the east coast if you want to do a bit of sightseeing. You can also visit a beautiful cave nearby.

A minor thing - there could be more fresh vegetables at breakfast.

Breakfast was exceptional. The beach was 10/10 and the staff was always atentive.

The beach restaurant staff did not like it when we (as all inclusive customers) went to it, and treated us very poorly.

Everything was Great , Perfect , All the best . It worth . About Room , Stunning view , Nice Terrace , Comfy bed , Clean Bathroom . About Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner , I couldn't say anything . They had Everything you might love to have as a Food . Great Stuff . I am sure we travel again to Mallorca and choose this hotel again . Don/t think about choosing or not . Absolutely choose this hotel with the best beach nearby .

The Food was delicious, amazing friendly staff, especially Juan and Dario, they really went above and beyond. The beach was great as well, clear water and soft sand. The best part was the view from your room!

Beds are quite uncomfortable and unnecessary charges. Found it frustrating that you had to pay $16 to use the safe in your room which is typically included in most hotels. You also had to pay extra for beach towels and sun beds

Very happy with our stay there. Everything was on point. The room was clean at arrival and cleaned everyday. All the staff were really nice. The view of the beach from the room is absolutely amazing and hearing the peaceful sound of the waves in the morning and night was a blast. The beach was also nice and not too crowded. The buffet had lots of variety and good food. We didn’t hire a car but buses will take you around if needed. We will return and 100% recommend.

As an all inclusive, it’s a shame that you have to pay extra for towels and to secure long chairs by the pool.

My experience at Castell Royal far exceeded my expectations. The add on services like the easy of renting a car, scooter or car and the bus to hotel from the airport and back really made our stay so much easier. The breakfast was amazing and always well stocked no matter what time we attended. The rooms were well cleaned and comfortable.The close access to the beach , mountains and great restaurants made this such a memorable trip. The staff were exceptionally helpful and always friendly no matter how many request or questions I had. I must mention Sebastian who was really outstanding. He has a really amazing way with customers and you can see he really has a customer centric approach in everything he does.

Everything was really good. The location is perfect, right across the beach, easy to park (free parking on the street). Very calm and quiet little town - I'd say it's best if you have a car. We were with All inclusive, the meals were good, not too repetitive, but if vegan or with strict food restrictions it might be better to contact the hotel beforehand. Several alcoholic drinks/cocktails we included, and the bar staff was very attentive and always in a good mood. Most of the guests were german and the staff all seemed to speak german. Our bedroom was perfect (all have sea view), very large with a balcony. Always clean!

The only thing that wasn't great was the pool/pool loungers situation. It's very annoying that people can reserve a lounge chair for an entire week. You can pay 3€/day or 15€/week to ensure you have a lounger available for you. Night activities were hit and miss, but that wasn't a real problem because we were looking for rest, not party.

Perfect beach holiday if you want to relax. The buffet in the morning and evening was spectacular! Kitchen staff was very friendly. Beautiful views from the rooms.

The beds are not so comfortable. The shows performed in the evenings were mostly pretty bad and kept my 3-year-old son awake. For a hotel on booking.com, you can expect to get international guests. I found it hard to communicate with the receptionists and some staff when looking for help/information and they couldn't speak any English or German.
