12 bed dorm was spacious. Had lockers under bunks (use your security bracelet for access). Individual bunk had privacy curtain, light and power plug. Solid bunk construction so it does move when the person above or below moves. Comfy bed and pillow. Linen was clean. Bunkroom was really quiet when the on-site bar was closed after about midnight. Easy to find and only 10min walk from ALSA bus station. Seemed really safe. They give you a waterproof bracelet that gets you into your locker, the bunkroom, and on-site after hours. Great location. Convenient if doing the Camino Del Norte (easy walk to train station to take train to Irun). Reception was open 24/7. Correos pick up from here if you need camino luggage transfer. Has a number of female showers so no queue.Hot showers (were on a timer, but just push button again- no problem). Basic kitchen with fridge and microwave. Whole place was clean including bunkroom, bathrooms and kitchen.

Bunkroom really noisy when on-site bar is open (seems to close about midnight)-people yelling and shouting (I stayed Friday and Saturday nights), but once it closed the bunkroom was super quiet.

The hotel has such as good vibes, amazing common areas to chill out and relax, read a book or met new friends. The room and the bathrooms were very clean and also has a nice kitchen with refrigerator where you can have your food. The staff were very nice, they save my luggage after doing the check out. I really enjoyed this place!! Don’t think twice!!!

You need to do check in in Manterola street and if your room is in Easo Kalea you need to walk to there after doing check-in (is only 20m) but if you have extra luggage as me can be a little uncomfortable, by the way, the staff were very nice helping me with my luggage until my room!

Great facilities, spotlessly clean, lots of privacy with curtains on the beds. Very helpful, friendly staff. Perfect location, close to the beach and the old town. I had one night in a dorm and 1 night in a private room. The dorm was very quiet, the other travellers were very respectful. The private room was on the other side of the building. Unfortunately, guests here were not as considerate, lots of noise in the hall and door banging until the early hours. But this was on a Friday night, so maybe to be expected. All in all, fantastic price for good accommodation in the city centre.

I really enjoyed staying in A Room In The City Hostel in San Sebastian. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When I felt unwell, the girls from the staff helped me and let me stay in the room for a while longer. The hostel is clean and pleasant. There are common areas, a kitchen where you can heat up your food (there is a microwave and a toaster), and a roof terrace. The location is the best - very close to the beach, to the old town, and at the same time quiet and not too crowded.

The hostel does not organise communal activities for the guests, such as board games, movie nights, or free tours. Such events foster integration in the hostel, so it would be nice if the hostel introduced such activities in the future.

The staff were amazing - especially Paola. Friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The location is perfect - a short walk to the beach and old town and cafes and bars nearby. Great value for money and the dorm and bed were clean. Also no wait for the toilets or showers.

The outside bar area can be noisy when you are in the dorm, but it closes at a reasonable hour. The mattress I had was a bit supportive and uncomfortable, but I have a temperamental back, so it’s not really the fault of the hostel!

The hostel was very close to the beach, and the rest of the city. If you are looking for a beach holiday this is perfect for you! The staff were friendly and it was clean , also way bigger than any other hostel Ive been to.

I was hoping to make a few friends while staying there but really struggled. The hostel has a bar connected to it and I feel that maybe you could encourage others to go to the bar at a certain time , and then allow people to mingle. The bar can be really beneficial for others but because others didn't really know about it ,it was only filled with locals and no-one from the hostel.

Location is great: near the beach and 10-15 mins walking to the old town, 10 mins from bus station. Lots of nice places to eat/have breakfast around. Terrace and shared space in the basement are very comfy and it was helpful to have them when I needed to work. There's also a patio with a bar. Room was great, each bed had an individual curtain, big storage that had a lock (same mechanism that's used to enter the room). Staff was nice and very helpful. Lovely place overall

No complaints, but something to keep in mind. Bar/patio gets a bit noisy at late hours. Also, kitchen is not fully functional, so don't expect to cook (rather to heat up some food)

The place is great to stay for some days in San Sebastian. What I did like most was that it is super close to the beach and the old city. And there is just around the corner a nice cafe where you can enjoy great breakfast and coffee. Beside is even a tapas bar which is also very good. The room was nice even the shower and toilet was not in the room. The area where you can relax outside and insede and get conected with other travellers is nice... The staff is very friendly and helps where ever they can. Overall I would stay there again, if I would visit San Sebastain again.

It seems that the whole hostel is having already some years and could use some renovation. Even if everything works, it is certainly no longer state of the art... as in one of the other hostel in which I was in Spain. It is a pity that there is no breakfast, even though there is a kitchen and you can make your own food. Found it strange that the shower facilities and the toilets are not in the room. The roof top could certainly use a little cleaning up and renovation.

I stayed in a 6 person bedroom and it was really good. All was very clean, beds were confortable and the system they have provided you with the best privacy I saw on a shared bedroom. You have your own plug, shelf and place to put little staff in your bed. Security is very good and staff was very nice and helpfull. Bathrooms were very clean and showers very good. It is very near down town, so you can walk there. You have many places to have breakfast depending on your tastes

The security system of the rooms was not working on my bed but it worka for others. Although I felt quite secure. They were putting some things on the windows with a machine so the shared facilities outside were not available and they were really nice. Because of this, you didn't have other nice places to meet other people

Great location, large lockers for storage. Pods were contained, private and comfortable with lights and power points. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. Lu C had great tips for things to do and places to eat/get coffee around the city. Would stay again.

Shower facilities were a little dated. There were some slight issues with 1 shower and 1 tap on my level that were scolding hot (unusable) but others were fine. No air conditioning (unfortunately we travelled during the 2023 heat wave) although large window helped cool room at night.
