Hotel La Familia

The hotel was very clean, the room was good size and the bathroom spacious and modern. Right beside the beach. Requested kettle and it was there plus cups and a few teabags 👍

There is no foyer to relax in but not really a problem. The bathroom could be smelly at times, I think the drain is faulty?

the flors were not cleaned everyday, coming from beach you obviously bring in sand, this was not cleaned, nor was the terrace.

No tea/coffee making facility. Bar closed on arrival at 9pm but I was informed that room service is available. Shower area needs an upgrade with new shower tray and tiling.

Great location, lovely sea views. We've stayed here several times and it's very convenient.

It was November, and there were no blankets on the beds. We asked at reception for them, at around 8pm and were told they didn't have any in the hotel and someone would bring them from another location. Apparently the hotel didn't deem them necessary for guests until December! We went out to eat, got back around 11pm and still no blankets! Had to insist that we needed them. There was a sign at reception saying kettles were available on request. So we requested one: but no, apparently they weren't available until the next day, when a new shift started....so we couldn't have a hot drink that night, or first thing in the morning when we awoke. Grr!

Everything! A really nice family run hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Received a very warm welcome on arrival and from everyone we spoke to afterwards. The hotel is perfectly located right opposite the beautiful beach and within seconds of numerous and varied small bars and restuarants. The main shopping street is the other side of the hotel so everything is very accessible. The hotel also serves breakfast and lunch and the air conditioning in both the bedrooms and the restaurant is very effective. You can choose between a sea view or, as we did, a room facing the quiet street with a balcony, This was nice to sit on late in the evening. I also thought that Hotel La Familia was good value for money for a sea front premises. Thoroughly recommended.

Traditional small hotel overlooking the beach. Room (with sea view)was a good size and had a small fridge.Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Whilst we didn’t eat dinner there the food looked and smelt very good. Breakfast was not a set price. There was a menu to choose from and prices were reasonable. We managed to park on the streets around the hotel easily but knowing the resort,in the summer this would be much more difficult. Would definitely go back!

If you’re looking for spas,pools and general luxury this isn’t the hotel for you. However, if you want a reasonably priced stay in a prime location,then it is! Try to get a room on the front for a fabulous sea view.

A modest hotel on the seafront, very well located in El Campello. A very welcoming staff, attentive, smiling and giving good advice. Some rooms have a beautiful sea view. Our room was very clean, functional and overlooked the back street with a balcony. A little noise through the doors because the hotel is decorated in marble and it echoes a bit. The hotel is no longer young but retains its charm. Wifi is working good and radio/tv in every room. Two entrances, one on the seafront, the other on the back street with parking entrance. The parking lot is very small with four spaces. Access is via an elevator, a great experience. Breakfast and meals are available with nice tables and sea view. Unbeatable price/quality ratio, we will come back for sure. Thank you to the staff.

The beds are a bit old, however we knew that the hotel is not 5 stars and we were ok with it. If you fancy comfy, classy and silent rooms then think twice before booking. But if you travel on budget and want to enjoy the best location in El Campello then book it.

We loved the location with sea views. Enjoyed relaxing on the spacious balcony and listening to the waves. Convenient to travel by tram to Alicante and Benidorm. Lively area with promenade, cafes, restaurants, shops, etc. Good value. Friendly helpful and polite staff. Nice to have option of kettle in room. Will choose to come again to this hotel.

Shower head not fitted/fixed to stand. Menu not very interesting and comparatively more expensive than other restaurants in area.

The hotel has become a little tired over the years and would definitely benefit from investment to modernise: The furniture needs updating, the TV has no international channels (only Spanish), the bathroom needs the mastic replacing or the mould removed from around the shower area, the bathroom ceiling tiles have patched hole repairs (as opposed to replacement tiles), the shower head was damaged (albeit functional) and their are no ironing boards.

The staff were always polite, friendly and helpful, the room was cleaned and made up daily, the pricing is good, the beds were comfortable, the sun was shining and the perfect location is what made the hotel shine.
