The breakfast was excellent. The bar dining area and lounge were clean and comfortably furnished. The airport bus stop and tram station were very close to the hotel.

The hotel restaurant wasn't open in the evenings due to it being low season. Food was available from the bar but the choice was limited and mostly not very healthy. The best option was some noodle dishes, but other than that there was nothing that we really wanted for a second evening.

This was my second visit to hotel Maya Alicante. The hotel is well driven, with a tasteful standard breakfast. You can also buy lunch or dinner. The room and reception service was good. I specially like that the hotell is close to city bus services, airport bus - and train to Benidorm. We also found some good restaurants in the neighborhood.

I am not found of standing in a bathtub when having a shower.

We had a wonderful week at Hotel Maya Alicante. We stayed half board and the breakfast and dinners were excellent - there was a wide range of choice for both breakfast and dinner (and multiple delicious puddings every night!) and it was all super tasty and fresh. We were very much impressed. Our rooms were great - close together, a really decent size, clean (and cleaned daily) and both had good views. Our kids (teenagers) particularly enjoyed the air hockey and pool tables :-) Location of the hotel was great - within easy walk of the beach and city. The swimming pool, loungers area and cafe were all excellent as well - we had somewhere for all 4 of us to lie down every day - no fights for loungers!! We highly recommend the pizzeria at the bottom of the road as well - delicious.

I would have liked a kettle/coffee making facilities in the bedroom, but that's the only negative I can think of.

Plenty of variety at breakfast, room very comfortable with powerful shower, very good price, hotel about ten minute walk from centre of town and two minute walk to the bus stop from the airport

Room doors are a bit noisy when closing which can be annoying to a light sleeper when guests arrive late or leave early

Location, cleaning, staff

The building is a bit old and the furniture and lay out are old fashion but the cleaning compensate these.

Great location, close to beach and amenities but in a quiet location. Great selection of buffet food and really pleasant staff

Plus: Good beds Nice view (room 705), balcony in corner. Good shower, enough pressure and warm water, you can take a bath. Good breakfast, even cava Location. You can take the bus C6 from the airport. You can see the green Santa Barbara. Tram is there just next to the hotel. We went to the Alicante Golf by tram. Not long way to the beach.

Minus: We would have liked a fresh room with blue and white colours as shown in Booking photos. We got orange :( Expected that when you come late to hotel, you get the first drinking water bottles free, but not. Once ate dinner (not incl.) at the hotel. Expected there are table clothes, but not. At the reception, when asked about the dinner, it was said that drinks included in the 21€ price, well only one drink, not even water. Suggestion: Could you keep the plates higher (where the fruits are), not low near people’s toes.

Spotlessly clean, friendly helpful staff, efficient work practices of all staff encountered, good transport links for the surrounding area, easy walk to the beach, good breakfast selection for a 3 star hotel,pool bar serves snacks and drinks that are very reasonably priced

The inside bar was closed the whole time we were there, you could buy drinks and snacks from the pool bar but this meant only in plastic cups, we would have preferred to have the option to buy drinks inside in glasses and make use of the very nice inside lounge area they had, when we booked the hotel advertised there’s an entertainment program but this only runs Thursday to Sunday and consists of kids daytime entertainment around the pool and a starfish character at mealtimes there was no other type of entertainment

The room had a nice view over the castle and the sea, it was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was really rich and diversified. The hotel is very close to the beach and port and it there is a bus station right in front of the hotel.

The staff from the reception insisted in asking for a cash deposit of 20euros for the pool towels. The receptionist was quite rude! We understand if they'd make a deposit on our room or card for safety reasons, but it is not ok to ask the client to take out cash from the hotel atm machine which has a 3.90eur comission! And also, they barely spoke English, while the hotel is full of british and english speaking tourists.

Breakfast was nice. The room was cleaned every day. The staff let's say was busy working. The way to the beach took at about 10-15 minutes.

I had phishing. And the hotel stood aside. The message was sent in official Booking application as if they were the manager of the hotel and wanted to prove my booking. 1000 dollar was taken from my account. But neither booking nor hotel paid anything. Just It's not their business. Even no discount.
