The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was fantastic; safe, trendy and walking distance to all the main attractions and surrounded by great restaurants and coffee shops. There's a coffee machine in the room, which is always a plus. The overall service was great. There was an issue with the room phone and they couldn't hear me when I called room service. Within a few minutes someone was knocking on my door to check in on me and ask me if I needed anything.

The rooms overlooking the inner courtyard are quite noisy until late in the night. Some of the furniture is old and needs upgrading.

Only YOU location is excellent with good restaurants, grocery shops. It’s within walking distance of the entire historic downtown of Madrid. The building is beautiful although perhaps a bit over designed in charming ways. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. All interactions from the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeeping were pleasant. The rooms were clean and fairly spacious. The rooms had robes, slippers, water boilers, and a Nespresso machine.

I feel it’s worth mentioning that rooms in one tower of the building overlook the inner courtyard which doubles as a cafe. There is going to be music and noise from the courtyard until 10PM at night or until the staff turn the music off. It’s not a problem if you don’t sleep before 10PM but if this sort of situation bothers you you have been forewarned. I also think it worth mentioning the staff, while very friendly and helpful, seem few and overworked. The front desk lady had to bring me room toiletries herself after a delay when short staffed. Also the front desk is pretty busy and short staffed. Mostly you will find the front desk person working alone, on the telephone putout fires. Not too unpleasant but I think the hotel could do with more people.

We had one evening meal in the hotel and despite the lovely location neither the service nor the food were what we expected and very disappointing.

The location in Chueca is brilliant five plus minutes from the metro, close to plaza major and most of the interesting places to visit. Breakfast was excellent choice and staff especially were very helpful, keeping an eye on the guests and clearing tables etc. Room was comfortable and lovely large bathroom. Reception were always helpful especially moving us to a different room when we requested a change as there was some maintenance work in the corridor. Excellent service throughout our stay

Well I cannot think of anything.

This was my second time staying at Only You Hotel. I love the ambience of the hotel itself with the books and luggage stacked around the lobby and elevators. It gives it an artsy feel. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. I had a balcony that lead to the street which I thought would be a bit noisy, but the room had good soundproofing and blackout curtains. So it was not a concern. The location is great. It is far enough away from GranVia (the touristy area) that you do not feel that you are in the midst of it all. I follow a gluten free diet. So to have a gluten free bakery right downstairs was heaven for me. :) I also love a plush bathrobe and they delivered.

The room did not have any draws to put clothes. It had space to hang clothes and a few shelves that were up high, but no draws to actually put clothes. Also, when I checked in the front staff person gave me the wrong information about the breakfast. She said it was a la carte in the bakery/restaurant, which is where I went on day one. However, the next day I found out the breakfast was a buffet in another location. I thought the cost of the breakfast was a bit high at 25 euros for what was being served.

The best front desk service and check-in we have ever experienced. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we visited the bakery next door. Returned 45 minutes later and not only was our room ready, but all our luggage had already been sent up and there was a bottle of champagne waiting in celebration of my wife's birthday. Patio suite is simple and elegant and retains elements of the original palace including exposed wooden beams. While the room isn't huge, the vaulted ceiling and extended exterior patio make the space seems like a wealth of abundance. If the weather is nice, prop open the double doors and treat it all as one space. The blue patio tiles make the space quite sophisticated and there is an awning to limit exposure to the sun. Noise from the street four floors down is barely discernable. Chueca neighborhood is very lively. Great location with lots to do nearby. Good restaurants and wine/tapas are easy to find in almost every direction. Streets were surprisingly clean for a city center. Noisier club scene seems to be a few blocks away. Bed is very comfortable and had no trouble sleeping. The lobby has lots of whimsical design elements and clever use of space with various reading nooks and comfortable sitting areas. All very functional if you need to find a quiet place to sit and work. Bar is classy and cozy with professional class vibe - didn't see any riff raff. We did not get to use the spa but have heard great things.

Perhaps offer several pillow options.

A great hotel in a great location. We looked at other locations before we decided on Only You and so pleased we chose this hotel. The staff are warm and helpful and they all went all out to make our stay stress free and enjoyable. The location is by far the best in Madrid, back streets, atmospheric with so many restaurants and interesting shops and remarkably quiet when it was time to sleep. We walked to everywhere. We really benefited from the gluten free bakery which is part of the hotel. We left for a few days to go to Salamanca and it was such a joy to return for a few hours before our flight home. They looked after our bags for us while we took in another museum and had some lunch which made all the difference to our final day in Madrid

I loved everything about this hotel. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. You are greeted with champagne (and other goodies.) The rooms are beautifully decorated, including the glassware, and the beds are comfortable. Plenty of space to unpack. The bar was great and the food at the restaurant was terrific. I treated myself to a Thai massage which worked out all of my traveler's kinks and made me feel better for days. There is breakfast all day long! Great neighborhood with lots to do, see and shop for and close enough to everything else a tourist would want. I will be coming back.

Great location in a really cool neighbourhood of Madrid,. Staff where excellent especially Cristina on reception who went above & beyond on her level of service. When we where checking in I dropped a bowl we had bought as a memento by our daughter. Cristina & Victor took the trouble to have it repaired and delivered to our room at no cost. On this trip we stayed at 16 different hotels in the USA, Canada, Portugal, Spain and Japan, this was by far the best!

Internet connection was a little slow.
