Good variety of food, à la carte option included Initially we booked a room with a sea side view, but because of not working AC, we’ve got an upgrade with a superior sea side view room, which was nicer.

The hotel has a very small area - basically only the swimming pool in front, comparing to the nearby hotel Lopesan Costa Meloneras. Drinks were not included in the dinner, even simply the water. It was also a bit annoying when we’ve been asked during the dinner several times how we are going to pay - cash or card - while still eating. The closest beach had a lot of stones in the water, not comfortable to swim at all. And if you want to go further where the beach is nicer, you have only two options with the sun beds - beach for nude people or gay.

a very modern hotel with a great location. beautiful pool with access to the beach. nearby there are plenty of shops and restaurants if that’s not your thing.

inside a very modern decor with low levels of lighting making it difficult for those with poorer eyesight (or when coming in from bright sunlight like the pool or dining room) to see. stairs are dimly lit and painted/decorated black so hard to see your step. lifts available but a lot of people preferring not to wait due to COVID restrictions making numbers using them low. dinner menu was confusing. buffet was good but a la Carte confusing

Breakfast

Biggest downside was that the upper (5th) floor of the accomodation (rooms) is right under a discotheque. NOT exactly the best way to rest - on the contrary!

The staff were exceptional. The best of the best. The hotel is incredibly stylish, very cosy and comfortable. The Terrence over looking the pool is a lovely area where you can just chill with a cocktail. I didn’t opt for half board, there’s beautiful restaurants around the hotel so plenty different options to choose from.

There’s no prices in the room for snacks/minbar. I was told all the info is in the app (which you can download) but on a number of occasions I couldn’t find the information. Some pool loungers were only available if you paid extra, almost everyday no one was using them so feels like a waste.

Excellent service (especially at the restaurant during breakfast and dinner, from the housekeeping and at the pool). The quality and diversity of the served plates during breakfast and dinner, were once again amazing. It is certainly worth staying at the hotel just for that. The location and the facilities are also exceptional.

The charge of €20 per day for the few parking places in front of the hotel. Last year they were free, on a first come first served basis. The lack of responsiveness from the front desk to some minor requests (for which they later apologized), and the downgrade from last year's Champagne to this year's sparkling wine offer during the check-in.

It is such an incredible treat to stay at Faro. The staff are incredible, welcoming, friendly, always going that extra mile! The rooms are beautiful, a little luxury and a touch of class! The location is perfect sea views for breakfast and dinner and right on the beach for sunrise walks along the magnificent Maspalomas beach! The food is exquisite, both on menu and buffet, i defy you not to enjoy! There is nothing that disappoints about staying in Faro

The mini resort is situated directly on the beach in Maspalomas. The hotel itself is well run; twice a day cleaning in an already spotless room, extensive cuisine for both breakfast and dinner, generous portions for the in room dining services, and access to gym (hotel arranges for alternative facilities as theirs was getting a new makeover), and access to a clean pool with plenty of sun beds without the need to rush or book early. The beach can get busy as expected from a public beach but if you head early enough you get the soft sandy beach to yourself. Finally, I cannot commend the staff enough who have been so very lovely to me as a solo traveller in this hotel full of gorgeous and very much loved up couples - you have been the X factor that made my stay fantastic.

EVERYTHING... Staying at Hotel Faro was incredible. I had half board and didn't have to worry about where or what to eat. The meals were delicious, and the selection of food in the buffet was extraordinary. Location is fantastic, just right in from of the beach and close to bars and restaurants. Can't recommend Hotel Faro enough. The live music every night is just a beautiful touch to unwind your day over a glass of wine overlooking the ocean. Not to forget the incredible staff, whom made me feel welcomed at all times. Do yourself a favor and book your stay here.

If I have to be picky, booking at time for breakfast and dinner was a bit annoying as someday I wanted to sleep in a bit more or stay longer by the beach. Service at the pool was a bit slow, maybe QR codes can help solve it.

Perfect location on the beach with a promenade in front. Always a good sign when you are offered a drink on checking in Adults only was a big tick for us. Lovely room. Staff were excellent - very friendly, knew our names and very professional Restaurant was excellent with timed arrival so as to avoid any rush. Mixture of buffet and a la carte which suited is as the buffet was excellent not your typical mad rush to the buffet. Very tasteful and great choice of food at breakfast and evening meal. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend - wouldn’t hesitate to book again Pool area was quiet and plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas Loved that you can use the a la carte restaurant at sister Hotels for every 3 days you stay so we had 2 visits; 1 to the Baobab and 1 to the Costa Meloneras (make sure men wear long trousers) Couldn’t hear any sound at night time coming from the Ibiza bar on the roof when in bed (Floor 3) Resort is upmarket with lovely shops, bars, restaurants - no riffraff

Small things that didn’t spoil the holiday. I read that people had upgrades to their room and we were offered this but at a cost of 30 Euros per day so we declined and actually had a lovely room at the side of the Hotel which still had a sea view. Service around the pool was slow. In previous Hotels we have had staff come to the sun lounger and there were waiters/waitresses but they didn’t come around very frequently and we had to search them out to request a drink. Had to book to use the bali day bed and so didn’t see anyone using them which was a shame as they looked lovely. We had a hire car and the parking at the Hotel was 25 euros per day so we parked on the road a 20 min walk away and it was free

This hotel is exceptional - all staff understand the importance of excellent customer services, all staff are well presented - They certainly set the bar high when it comes to standards. The hotel facilities are amazing, great food including breakfast, excellent service. The hotel is in an excellent location, very clean - I just love staying here and can't wait to return - my main reason for going to Gran Canaria. I have been very fortunate in my profession to stay at some amazing hotels around the world including some top hotels in Asia but this hotel is the best in everyway - Cannot recommend it enough.
